Good morning from very cold and windy NJ!
The Winter HS session was canceled and at this moment in time, I am relieved. It's 18* and wind chills are below zero. I'm glad that I won't have to be outside in that. I'll ignore my lack of a paycheck for now. ;)

I had a pretty productive day cleaning out my fridge. *G* I tossed a ton of condiments that had been shoved to the back for God only knows how long. That was the Big Project for the day. My other To-Do List item was to make the appt for Jaida's rabies shot. I called the vet and they told me that she isn't due until 2027 but I can't find her latest certificate in her folder. They emailed me a copy and she got it in November. As in 2 months ago.
Meanwhile, I made several appts for the dogs to get vaccinations and managed to make a mess out of all of them. Lyme Brain is *fun*! /s
On the bright side, I don't have to take her in which is never an easy time.

My other project was to download the wedding photos from Cait's flash drive.
Although I might need to do it again, now that I think about it... She had them organized in folders and they didn't make it to my computer that way... :thinking2:
Welp, it looks like I have a lot of extra time on my hands today since I am not working :/

Wishing everyone a wonderful and warm day! Except Tracy. She gets a wonderful and *cold* day.

Love to you all!

Is it the Timadax (I forget the correct spelling, sorry!) that causes you to crash later in the day?
I finished this round of Tindamax on Saturday, I do one week a month. Three weeks off and yippee, I do it all over again. Hopefully, next month will be a little easier. It usually takes a few days for the effects to wear off. I should be downing a ton of water to help flush it all out but I struggle this time of year.
How did you all do with the weather and ice? I hope the roads weren't bad when you went to the bank. Congrats on being the church Treasurer. Did we know that?

Morning O Fam!

We have until 11 am to decide if we want to stay another night or not. If we go it will be slow going. They are predicting more snow throughout the day where we need to travel. I really want to go home- have been on the road since 12/27. We have stayed in hotels in 5 different cities. I did wash clothes 8 days ago, and will have tons of laundry when we do get home. On the plus side- I got the first kit of 52 inspirations and made a layout about the storm already! If we stay I plan to sort through my digi files and get them in order, perhaps scrap some more! And we have decided to stay one more day.
I understand wanting to be in your own home but I'm glad you decided to stay the extra night. No point in spending all of the extra time in the car when you could be scrapping :D
Safe travels for you today!

Vicky- what a blast you had with Mark's family and all of the Uno games. UNO Stacko sounds hysterical, and UNO Attacks even more so! You're going to have a great time this weekend too.
Also, the service was a special event. The 3 preachers were sons of the late pastor who was at the church before Tim and I came. Two of their sisters still attend the church and the 3rd is nearby. This weekend was their Christmas gathering, so while they were in the pastor had them all preach yesterday. The services began at 10 and 11 and broke for lunch at 12 and then again at 2 for the final sermon! A busy but wonderful time!
I'd say that was a special event! ♥♥♥

I can feel your hugs. DD#1 gets her cast changed to a boot tomorrow if all goes well. But, it will be a few weeks before she can do weight-bearing on that foot. Think that DD#3 will be there for 2-3 weeks. The forecast is for snow on Wed so will try to get my errands done today or tomorrow.
Glad that you got the hugs, I am sending you more right now :hug2:
You have a very special family that your kids are so very close. I know that DD#3 will make sure #1 does what she needs to do to heal.

@bcgal00 How was the marketplace, did you get all of the things you were looking for?
Caitlyn and I were saying the same thing about craving veggies. I used up the rest of the broccoli and Brussels sprouts in a casserole last night. Sure, they were covered with cheese but still vegetables so it counts. :p

where has the day gone???

Oh yeah, in a vortex of cyber attacks on our internet and snow swirling wind blowing laundry has to get done. Hope youre all having a wonderful day!
You just described the inner workings of my mind. :floorlaugh:
I hope that today is a much, much easier one for you.

It sounds like a lot of us have problems sleeping! I hate it. Since hitting menopause I'm lucky if I stay asleep for longer than 40 minutes at a time - and that is after spending a few hours trying to GET to sleep.
If I didn't take meds for sleep I don't think I would get more than a few hours. Melatonin and sleep meditations will help me fall asleep but only for a short period of time. I have to take prescriptions to get to sleep and stay asleep. It stinks but better than being a zombie every day.
I hope that you slept better last night!

sending everyone much love! ♥

Good Morning :coffeedrinker:

Good morning from very cold and windy NJ!

Wishing everyone a wonderful and warm day! Except Tracy. She gets a wonderful and *cold* day.
Well Chris, thanks but ugh! We are warm and windy, opposite of you. I wish this winter would behave normal. Its 36* and been raining all night. Son got sent home early yesterday from work because the roads were pure ice with water on them. I listened to it rain all night long and then the power outage and hubs heard a transformer blow. We have power now and the house is warm. But the other end of the lake is dark and no power. Schools are delayed at the moment because the ice roads. Still raining too. This is a depressing winter so far. More ice than anything. If all goes well, today will be mostly chill. Tomorrow starts cooking at church again and I worry about the roads but we shall see. There's time for the rain to stop and the road to get sanded.
Need more :coffeedrinker::coffeedrinker::coffeedrinker:Have a great safe day!

Good morning ladies. I've got a full day ahead of me. I'm heading out to the center this afternoon and then we'll drive into Calgary to pick up a cabinet afterwards. I saw it on marketplace, it matches our end tables and looks new. It'll fill the empty spot in the dining room where the xmas tree goes. It's small enough that it should be fairly easy to move it during the holiday season, its only 15x 15 and about 5 ft tall. Then I grab a quick bite to eat and head out to our monthly ladies meeting so won't be home all day until about 9:30 tonight.

I scored big with my marketplace purchases yesterday. I got two coats, in mint condition, a lightweight med gray wool coat which will be nice for the in-between season when its chilly but not freezing out. The other is thigh length, a heavier blazer type of black/white wool coat that is perfect to wear right now. I got both for $45. I had been pricing them when I went boxing day shopping, so I'm glad I didn't cave in and buy them at the time I saw them in the stores, I would have paid a much higher price. The other two purchases are perfect for entertaining, both new, still sealed in the packaging boxes. I got a charcuterie board that matches one I already have but it also has a matching round tray and ceramic inserts which mine doesn't have. The other piece is a small wooden board with rope handles and cutouts with 8 decorative cups for sauces, nuts, etc. I pulled out things from one of the cabinets to sell or donate. I'm updating my pieces, some of them are 20+ years old. I'm trying to follow my rule of "something comes into the house, so something goes out". That way the house won't get cluttered.

We saw the first 3 episodes of Teacup (sci-fi) last night and will PVR the rest to binge when it finishes. Scott Speedman is in it, I like everything he is in. He is a Canadian actor.

It'll be a nice week for walks with Remi, the temps have warmed up, above freezing and sunny.

@faerywings I ended up changing what I wanted for dinner last night, instead having BBQ chicken with chopped salad greens, carrots and peppers. I only ate part of the chicken breast. I can eat meat sometimes but often after a few bites I've had enough. I enjoyed my salad. I made enough for tonight too and added ranch, mayo and chipotle sauce to it. I'll airfry the green beans tonight with the truffle/parmesan spice and get some sourdough bread. I never used to crave veggies but now I do.

I've been trying to type this for a few hours LOL. I keep getting interrupted with family chats. I'm getting out of here, will take the dogs to the park before I head out for the day. HAGD everyone.

Love to you all!
Are they giving you all a nasty weekend weather forecast, too? We may end up having to cancel our family gathering! Bummer!

Good Late Afternoon!
IBS stomach issues today, so I've been in jammies all day while working on my devotion for next Tuesday.
We may end up having to cancel our family gathering this week because of the weather warnings we are getting for a winter storm! My son in WV and my daughter in OH already have about 9" of snow and ice they are dealing with! Hopefully by Thursday night we will know something definite so hotels can be cancelled.
We are taking Christmas gifts to some of Mark's grands tonight and tomorrow afternoon before church.
Have a great evening!

How did you all do with the weather and ice? I hope the roads weren't bad when you went to the bank. Congrats on being the church Treasurer. Did we know that?
The roads were mainly just wet except for the bridges that were gathering ice. The snow flurries very quickly changed over to freezing rain, but I guess the roads were warm enough with the traffic that it wasn't much of a problem around here. This weekend may be a different story however! They are calling for a winter storm.
I'm not sure I mentioned I became the new church treasurer. Who knows, LOL!
You're going to have a great time this weekend too.
I'm praying we either know by Thursday evening that we need to cancel this weekend due to the winter storm warning.....or that it doesn't hit us!

Good evening- we made it home and I am in do the laundry mode. Back to real life. Hopefully I can scrap again this weekend. I have ideas for the challenges floating in my head. The roads were much better today and it only took 4.5 hours, compared to 6+ if we had tried yesterday.

Glad youre home safe and sound! Hope the laundry mode doesn't overwhelm you.

And, wouldn't you know it, Chris? This NJ girl is visiting her sister in Indiana fight now where it's a few degrees warmer then NJ but we had 12+ inches of snow the past few days! I couldn't believe, it snowed all day and night Sunday and most of yesterday. Normally her part of Indiana doesn't get snow, but this time they got zonked! NJ is looking good right now and I just can't believe it! o_O :floorlaugh:
OHhhhhhh..... And, I so hate winter! :cold:

Then send it back to me girl! We are all rain and freezing rain and its NASTY! No snow! More brown dead grass than snow. Send it back!!!!
Oh WOW Tracy! I thought I saw that you were actually "warm". I will SO gladly send it back. Except this morning it was 18º here! I just can't believe it's colder and snowier than NJ! Sending back RIGHT NOW!!!! :cold: :hug4::heartpumppink:
