Hey there, O-zies! How are all of you this morning? Aside from being cold, I am actually feeling ok. I slept well, did a morning meditation with positive affirmations before I got up. I had two yummy mugs of coffee and have nowhere I have to be today.

Yesterday's passport excursion went smoothly. I always worry about having the right documents for things like that and I tell to being more docs than needed. But the apps are sent in and we should be all set in a couple of months.
On my way in with my two kids, I had a sweet flashback to when they were little. A mom was walking in front of us, she was holding a little girl, prob 2 years old and her son- probably 3-4- yos old was next to her. He was walking holding a box in front of his face, telling her, "I can't see, you have to guide me!" That is *exactly* what my life was like. That is something that Scott would have done and I would have had no choice but to roll with it. I told Gary the story at dinner and he agrees-100% Scott, who thinks he remembers doing something like that. Would not surprise me in the least.

The rats seem to be adjusting to each other quickly. Cait had them switch cages for a few hours in the morning. That was hysterical- the babies were running all over the big cage- it has four levels and they were *everywhere.* It reminded me of toddlers checking everything out with new toys. The BGs were running through the little cage, digging and smelling every corner and tunnel and hammock. Then she put them in the tub again, this time with the wheel and the LOs were loving the wheel and were climbing on the center spoke and then falling when the wheel rotated. The BGs who typically don't care about the wheel naturally had to be involved. At the end of playtime, all 5 of them were squished in the bottom of the wheel, all on top of each other. I think that they are going to be bonded very quickly. I am so proud of Caitlyn, she really works with her babies and you can see the results.

It is also good bonding for us four humans too.

I tried to do online shopping for the past two days but the website kept crashing on me. Hopefully, it will be working today. I can use the app on my phone but it is really hard to see things with my old lady eyes.
I am going to make my mom's birthday present today too. I was hoping that Gary could engrave on one of the seashells that I brought home from the shore a few months ago but the engraver didn't work on the shell. Instead, I am painting the last slats of wood from that wood palette we used for Xmas gifts and gluing the shells onto it in a heart with "Spring Lake 2019" in the center.
It should be a nice "puttery" kind of day.
I hope you all have a great one too!!

Kay- I have done that too with losing Folders and it is frustrating. I use ACDSee and when I scan photos I put the year in as a keyword. There are some photos that I can't date, and it makes me bonkers. I should know these things, right? Don't you tell yourself that you will always remember those big moments in your life? :D
I loooove lightbulb moments! Hope yours makes it loads easier to find and label!
Did your DD get to come and visit?
Cait said that you can train rats to recognize their names but she never did, it isn't like you need them to "come" like you do with a dog. ;) But she doesn't think that they automatically register say, "Cordelia" as their name.
Ugh- I hate passport/DL photos. Scott took my first one and there were shadows on it, so I took one as a selfie. After I uploaded it, I realized that the selfie mode has a filter because the bags under my eyes and the forehead/smile creases were gone. Darn, that photo looked much better than the one I had to use. :pound:

My BR is purple too, but a lighter blue-toned purple and my comforter is grey and lavender. I love that you have that for your MB and bath is done is those shades, bet it is all very pretty!

Trudy-how was your "puttery" and crafty day? I always missed my kids when they went back to school but I breathed a sigh of relief at the same time. How was Facetime with Hunter?
Is the tummy any better today?

Rae- the time off for you flew by, didn't it? I know that you will keep your schedule of nature photos and Taz walks to keep your balance as you work.
The babies are really cute to watch. Makes me so happy!

Nancy- did your DH get to talk with the Dr yesterday? It is going to be cold up here the next few days but weather.com is predicting we will hit 60* on Sunday!! Same for you?
How nice to have the house yourself and Luther again. What is Green Book about?

xoxo!

Yesterday I really struggled emotionally. Between PMS or approaching menopause and my son headed back to college today, I was a mess! I planned to take him out for breakfast, but he just wanted to enjoy his last day relaxing at home. I did make him a birthday cake since we won't be able to celebrate together on his actual birthday. I am going to need some scrapping therapy!

good morning - today is a do nothing day. I was going to the NJ Devils game but I am not feeling too well. Very weird. Every once in a while I get this spinning sensation. But other than that I don't feel sick. I had gone to the bathroom around 4:30 and my son realized I must be awake so he came in and had me cut open his pants pockets on his new pants. I had showed him how but "I forgot". Then he came back to see if the shirt and blazer went together. I did not want to be up. Oh well. I did go back to sleep so that was good. But I am still tired. No my DH and his doctor kept missing each other so still not sure what he should be doing.

Chris enjoy the puttery day! So glad the rats are doing so well together! Cait is a good mom! Glad the passport applications went well! I always find it like passing a test very stressful. Have you gotten your new NJ license yet - the one you have to have to fly if you don't have a passport? I just saw that they are now allowing us to set up appointments.

Cinda it is hard to be a mother! Hope you feel better soon.

Kay hope you foot is feeling better and that your daughter was able to make it over for a nice talk!

Trudy hope your stomach is behaving. Not fun when it reacts!

Rae have a good first day back. At least your back does not mean you have to leave your home. I would have like a job like that.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Quiet day ahead with desk work, doing laundry and making spaghetti sauce for dinner tonight (noodles for D and spaghetti squash for me). I was having puppy longings last night. In one of my groups, I saw that a pug/chihuahua pup was for sale as the owner is moving and can't bring him with her. I had to talk myself down, stop myself from contacting her. I don't know that another dog would be good for Taz, he's friendly but not really social with other dogs, just doesn't care to interact with them much after the initial hello. So as much as I'd love a second dog, not sure if it would be a good thing for Taz. Hubs looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe eventually but if I do, probably this kind of mix isn't right for us. We don't like dogs that incessantly bark and that mix can be prone to it. So for now, I will refrain.

Chris - the rat stories are so interesting to hear. Did you take pics of them all lying together? That would be so cute to see. Hope you get your online shopping done.

Cinda - hope scrapping helps take away the blues.

Nancy - hope the dizziness passes quickly.

I'm getting to work for a bit now. Hope you all have a great day.

Been a busy day for me already. No, DD#1 didn't make it over - by the time she bought her groceries and a few other errands yesterday, it was too late. Then I was gone most of the morning... did some banking business, picked up a few books at the Senior Citizen Center, then to the Bread store to pick up some buns. I was so glad to get back home and put my foot up. Wow... it was cold - work up at 6 AM to 24 degrees and it was only 30 when I started running errands! Now I am home and getting a couple of loads of laundry [sheets and towels] done.

Chris, glad the passport stuff went fine. Think I may join you in having the rest of the day being a "puttery" day. Don't feel like doing much.

Rae, you were wise to pass up the opportunity to add another dog to the family... especially if it one that may bark or yap alot.

Cinda, it is hard when the birds are leaving the nest especially if it 'that time of life' for you on top of it. <<< hugs >>>

Nancy, that spinning you are feeling might be positional vertigo. I get it occasionally. My doc told me I 'need to move the rocks in my ears'... as she grinned at me. Then she gave some exercises to do to help with it. Sometimes I need to take motion sickness meds for it. Hope you get over it quickly and feel more like yourself again.

Kythe/Karen, I sure hope your are getting better. A pinched nerve is a PITA!

Off to put the foot up again - as soon as I shift laundry loads around. CYL

Hi Ladies... wow really late getting here today, but had a great swim at the pool and there was hardly anyone there. Then a facetime talk with Heather and Hunter and off I went to have lunch with SIL Linda. After lunch I had to go to one of the galleries to pick up the paintings that did not sell and now I will really have to work on getting my facebook business page up and running with these paintings added to it. It is taking me for freaking ever to get this done! I wish I was a bit more savy about it all! So anyway, I will not be doing personals today, but instead will be doing some much needed commenting etc. in the gallery. Hubby will be home soon and I still haven't finished making my sister's birthday card! Yikes!! why does everything seem to take me so long to do?? Just wanted to pop in and say Hi to you all and hope that you all are keeping dry and warm today! TTYL!!
