One day down, 4 more to go! Unless you are in Australia, then you can change the numbers there as you see fit:)

I am breathing a sigh of relief. It looks like the storm that is coming tonight is going to stay out to sea and we might get an inch or so but nothing major. Something about the cold air pushing southward.... :blah: Looks like I can be happy about the "Vortex" so for something.
Wouldn't "Polar Vortex" make a neat carnival ride? Imagine the Gravitron but with bursts of freezing cold air and snow.
Yeah, I wouldn't go on that either.LOL

And I know, I should *not* be doing this, but I keep checking the weather for next Monday and now they are talking about ice in the am. Hit me over the head :fish: to remind me how weather forecasters are wrong most of the time.

And yes, I know, I am totally bonkers that I am more worried about the weather than the surgery! :loco:

Off to work today and I *still* want to scrap.......I was hoping to yesterday but I ended up taking a much-needed nap. I have been a bad Cheery O this month and I want to catch up on some of my duties here. I also have some funny pics of Scott and the snow banks I want to use.

Oh and not that anyone truly cares-- No, I know you do, I just am feeling that my posts are an "All About Me and My Medical Issues" (they really are, but that is pretty much what my life is ATM LOL!)
anyway--- I decided to go ahead an order one week of my IV abx and I should be able to get started by the end of the week. The dr's office let me know that I did not get an outright denial from the insurance co, but that are sending it along to "Medical Management" so we shall see... No idea of how long that will take which is why I am going to go week by week for out-of-pocket stuff. *fingers and toes are all crossed for that*

Is it any wonder that I am totally nuts???

Tip on Tuesday:
Everyone *must* have at least a few rice/bean/whatever they fill them with microwaveable heat packs. I live with them all winter but mow my kids and hubby have discovered how awesome they are and now we have to fight over them. Mom always gets first dibs! :p

Phyllis- fellow Geek! I am glad that you got my goofy joke about Wil Wheaton. A lot of times, at dinner, I make a joke and no one gets it....
How are you and hubby feeling? Cait told me that everyone at school is sick and I have become a GERM-A-PHOBE this week! Hope that you are better. And damn, Woman, look at you with the kitchen cabinets... I hope that you are taking before and after pics cuz I want to see them!

Chris, are you SURE your fast is only for 6 hours? i never heard of such a short fast for bloodwork.
Oh yes, I double-checked that, you know I take my Caffeine Consumption *very* seriously. hahah!!

Nancy- are you counting the days until your Devils games? So exciting for you to get back to the ice!

Trudy- oh YUCK!!!!!! Hope that your snow goes away quickly. (although you did *not* hear this from me, the Official Snow-Hater, your photo is very picturesque and pretty with the snow)
What kind of soup did you make? I love soup!

Oooh P-- We are starting to see some "grass" over the septic, its a good sign, right?? LOL

hugs and love!

Tropt- so happy that you are joining us here again! How is Zoey doing? Bet she is adorable in spite of the work. Both of our dogs were rescues and approximately 6 months old when we got them (not really sure on their ages, the vet kind of guessed) so we missed out on the "worst" of the puppy stage- like teeth! It took Ray (Lab mix) at least a good year or so to stop chewing the furniture. If I ever went into my house as a stranger, I would think that the owners were crazy-slobs. Between claw marks from the cats and the chewed furniture by the dogs (add in some glitter glue on the ceiling from an art project gone horribly wrong by Caitlyn). :faint:

Thank you for the good thoughts and prayers-- I would say to pray for my sanity, but that is long gone! :hurt:

good morning got up and made French toast. I had no cereal so I decide how hard could this be and of course it wasn't. I used cinnamon swirl bread and OMgosh was it good. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Got in a good walk yesterday. Walked around our local park and even with all the warm weather we have had there is still so much snow still left still to melt. Though I am sure if it all melted at once there would be a lot of flooding. Read that all my Devils players were back on the ice practicing so that is good news.

Chris glad to hear that we are only getting a little snow. Glad you are getting everything set up!

Phylis you may not want to be the Elf but at least you know you will finish. My DH on the other hand usually does not finish his projects. He finally took down all the Christmas stuff this Sunday. Hope you are your husband are feeling better!

Trudy your snow photo is so pretty! I bet it melts fast.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... well our snow has finally stopped and instead of rain we are getting sunshine today!!! hooray!! So this is the scene from my kitchen window today, the reason why it has taken me so long to get here this morning. It's hard to not just stand in front of my window all day and enjoy Mother Nature's beauty!! I am blessed, even in winter!!

Chris - I don't blame you for being more worried about the weather than your surgery. You have no control over the weather and can't trust the weather man to be accurate. I will send you all my positive vibes in hopes that the winter will finally be over for you!! Don't feel bad about your posts being all about your medical issues, it is what is happening with your life right now and to share it is good therapy!! Of course we care!!!

Nancy - Your french toast for breakfast sounds really yummy!! Glad that you were able to get in your walk yesterday, I had to do a stint on the treadmill, not as much fun as being outside, but oh my the snow was falling thick and heavy all day yesterday! To slippery to walk outside right now, but hopefully later on today will be safe enough. We will be happy to see the snow melt, but we really needed it, now the reservoirs will be full again and everyone will be happy! Enjoy your next hockey game! I am sure you are looking forward to it!!

Hi Phylis, Sara and Tropt

Not too much planned for today, I have a rock I have to finish painting for my sister. Her DD's cat died quite a while back and she wants a picture of the cat on a large river rock for the headstone. Sounds morbid, but she actually has quite the animal graveyard at her place. I will have to take photos the next time I am up there. Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!!
