Hello and a happy Tuesday to all of you. If feels much more like a Thursday to me. It has been a long week already haha!
I had funky dreams again last night but I can't remember any of them to shake them off. I cannot wait for spring and fresh air. I think that will help clear the cobwebs out of my brain.
I spent a lot of time at my desk although I wouldn't say I had no distractions. "Life" is a distraction :D
While I was working on the food shopping list (still no dinner ideas UGH!!), Caitlyn and Gary gave all three dogs baths. They were so overdue. Poor Ray was still wet 8 hours later. She looked fluffy and raggedy at the same time. She has so many papillomas that make her fur sticky around them. There is nothing that we can do for it either unless we had them all surgically removed, and since they are caused by a virus they probably would come back. My poor old girl.
The other two crazy girls dried off faster. Not because their fur is short. Nope. Because they were running around the house so fast the wind dried 'em off. They don't call them "zoomies" for nothing LOL

When I get home from the supermarket (will take me a long time today since I will be wandering around trying to figure out what to cook. Ugh. Again.) I have more desk work to do. We got the application for a property tax freeze yesterday which is for Seniors/Disabled homeowners. I don't know if other states do this but since NJs property taxes are insane (Nancy will confirm!), it is a big help since the rates increase much, much more than the Cost of Living increase Gary gets from his SS disability income. That means I will be digging through our income tax papers so maybe I will work on that as well. I really do not want to have to do that. But it isn't like it is going to go away just because I stick my head in the sand.

(Sand. Sand means beach. Means ocean. Means I am where I belong... )

So that is my day. Nothing exciting, several things annoying. Sounds a bit like my personality too. :pound:

make yours a great one!!

Kay- that must have felt amazing to sleep that late. Hope you were able to do that again. I am sorry that you are getting a cold, they are the pits. Sending you some tea and honey :tea: Happy birthday to DD!!!

Nancy- Your DS is so sweet to bring you b-fast. Temps weren't so bad up here either and I bet Luther was excited to be out for a walk with both of you.
It is hard when a team trades players that you like and admire. Are the players the Devils are getting good picks?
I think the ankle pain is more my fault than anything. I have been sick of wearing my sneakers/insoles and have been walking in socks more than I should be but I will tell her tomorrow when I am there.

Felis- :high5: on the To-Do list accomplishments!! wish I could say the same but I am proud of you!! Good luck with the work request. I feel it here too- the world feels "off" a bit. I hope the emotions pass. How are your kitties today?

Hugs everyone!

good morning - my Devils play the Blues tonight in St. Louis. I will hope for a competitive game as the Blues are the defending Cup champions. I watched my former Captain Greene play for the Islanders and it sucked. It sucked because as a Devils fan you really don't like the Islanders. The Isles were playing the Coyotes and the Coyotes won so that made me happy! Going out to dinner with my girlfriend so that is nice. Her DH and mine are both working late. I woke this morning with a bad back. It does not want me to bend over. I have been wondering what is going on and I think it is that I did not have my car so I missed a week of swimming wellness. Now I have a cold from my boys and so I will miss more. Bummed. Made a good dinner last night just steak, roasted potatoes and kale but there were not left overs so I know the boys were happy too. I have just one episode left of season one of Jack Ryan. That will be me this afternoon. My son and I also watch episode one of Outlander season 5. It is so good.

Chris glad you got some stuff done. Good luck at the store. My DH went and that made me very happy. I am sure you will figure out something but darn it is hard. Maybe in the olden days when there were not so many choices dinners were easier and no one could complain but that was all there was.

Kay happy birthday to your darling daughter. Hope the cold has subsided.

Felis glad you got to cross off things on the to do list. And while yes I can see my former players play on their new teams they are now on teams that I cheer against. That makes it hard.

Waving to all. Have a great day!

I've had some good days lately one way and another but today is gray and damp so I've got to get some encouragement to keep it going. DH will do grocery shopping and I need to do some :washing: - not my ideas of fun.

Chris, I'd go nuts if I didn't have a list for the grocery store! Hunting for ideas there is sure to make you crazy. Still actually seeing things is a nice way to get inspired. Good luck with it. Sure hope things get better with your ankle SOON.

Nancy, rats about the Devils trades. I know it is a bummer. That cold is also not fun and maybe it won't really take hold. I am so impressed with all the walking you've done but the back problem didn't need to come along. Makes you see how valuable the water therapy is.

Felis, great that you crossed things off the list. Wishing you a brave face and success in asking for a free week.

Kay, I too hope you had a good sleep and improvement with the foot. Lots of reading may help get you through.

Trudy, how nice you got into that new painting and will soon start that exciting scene for the commission.

Rae, wishing you lots of opportunities with the birds and critters for photos and nice weather.

Morning, gals. So happy to say that I slept in until 7 AM...and that was after falling sleep at 9:30 PM which is my normal sleep time. Hope that broke the waking up way too early cycle. Looks like the 'cold' is just a sore throat with a cough - no stuffiness in the head. Glad about that. So will be living on hot beverages.. coffee or hot tea with lemon and honey. Yesterday was a PJ day - managed to get most of the laundry done. Will do the last load done after I get my shower this morning. Did a little bit of scrapping but read most of the day as I had no energy. Ended up getting up-dated author's book lists which lead me to trying to find a couple books that I knew I had... somewhere! Finally found them. I really need to do an up-dated list of my collection. Somehow I lost the data-base of my books - during one of the computer crashes. Right now I have the paper listing with lots of write-ins of books I have obtained since the list was printed [probably 12 years ago]!

I finally decided that since it will be awhile before I move over to DH's computer, I should go ahead and install PSE2020 on my computer. Did that this morning but then realized that I need to install all the styles, actions and fonts, etc that I have installed as extras in PSE19. That will be several days worth of effort as I figure out what are 'extras' and get them done. Hope I can find all of them. Know I am not up to struggling with it this week. <<sigh>>

Got a call yesterday afternoon from a dear friend. Her hubby passed away 3 days ago. We have known them for 20 years... they were realtors and helped us find our first house here and the one I have now. Plus they helped DD#1, DD#3 and GD all find their houses. I knew he had some health issues but didn't realize how bad he was. DD#1 and I will be going to the funeral next week. My heart aches for my friend.

Chris, hope you get the property tax freeze paperwork done soon. Glad that is available to you as those can really hurt when they shoot up. DS is going to sell his rental house in CA as the Prop13 tax freeze looks like it will be revoked next year. Know that those taxes will skyrocket once that happens.

Oh, Nancy... hope your cold improves quickly so you can get back into your swim routine again. Sorry your back is giving you fits today. <<< gentle hugs >>>

Ah... just got a fresh cup of coffee. Will drink that and then grab my shower and get dressed.

Morning everyone! Surprisingly I am not too stiff and sore today, maybe it will hit me hard tomorrow! We worked very hard yesterday, falling the Maple tree that was pretty much dead and then DH and his Dad used the power saw to cut it up into workable sized pieces so that we could use the splitter and then stack the wood. We started work at 10am and finally finished at 3pm. It was a beautiful day though and the lake was like glass and the skies were blue! It was so nice to be outside all day! I suppose I should get to the pool and get my laps in so that my muscles don't become stiffened up. We both were in bed by 9:30 and slept like the dead LOL.

Chris - I hope that you don't end up wandering around the supermarket all day today! I do that sometimes when I am trying to figure out what to make for supper :mmph: Hope the dogs did not knock anyone over as they ran around the house LOL! Poor Ray having to stay wet for so long! Good luck with the property taxes!! Ours are very high too!

Nancy - It sucks to see your former players on a rival team!! Wasn't Outlander so good!! Can't wait for the next episode! Sorry that you got a cold, hopefully it will not hang on for too long and you can get back to your water therapy! I guess if you can't be at therapy then you will have time to finish off your Jack Ryan episode and start watching something else too. Get better soon!!

Jean - We were so busy with working in yard at MIL's that we did not get a chance to even talk about the family tree. Perhaps a good thing as I am sure there would have been an argument between MIL and FIL if we did. Hope that MIL can get a look at the book that we are having transferred from the library in Courtney to our library here in Duncan. Perhaps it will shed some light on what she is wondering about. Yes I am excited to get going on the new painting, just hope that I can do what he wants and make it look good LOL.

Felis - Keeping my fingers crossed that you can get the week off that you want! Glad that you are getting things off of your to do list!

Ok I best get my bag ready for swimming and get going before it gets too busy at the pool. Have a great day everyone !!

Rather late in posting... sorry
I had my physical fitness assessment today. My daughter has set me up with a personal trainer. He works both online via videos files and live video chats as well as in person at his gym. I go in to Vancouver (45min drive) once a week for a month or so until I get the gist of all the exercises I am to do. He will send me a complete personal workout routine for my needs and the program records my progress.

Apparently I am not as bad as I thought I might be. Mind you, tomorrow will tell by the number of aches and pains I have from today.

Hope you are all well.
