Hello dear O-Fam!
I have had Christmas songs stuck in my head since last week. The one that has been in the background for the last few days is Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas. I don't even like that version.:eek:hwell:
But the good thing it isn't annoying me at all.

The *best* news is that I finished my ILs album yesterday!!!! Go me!!! I really hate Shutterfly because they get you so hard on the shipping. I ordered a free album and a free desktop plaque- those 2 things -- the shipping was $18. But in the long run, it comes out that three people have gifts for $18 so it is a good deal. When I was finished with that, I had to go out and rake leaves. I needed some fresh air and to move a bit.

I also got the letter from the State regarding my health insurance. Both kids and I are covered but it doesn't start until Jan 1. The kids have plans right now so they have insurance, but I still don't. I have no idea why it doesn't start immediately. I guess I have to call and find out. It is so crazy.
But I know that we all have health insurance in the future so that is a huge relief.
And..... I have even *more* good news!! The babies are coming! The babies are coming!!!! It will be fantastic to have rats in the house again. As you can imagine, Cait is *very* excited!

The rat that had abcess surgery will be cleared medically on Sunday, so Caitlyn and Brendan are going to CT to pick them up and bring them home!

I am off to food shop this morning and then I am going to paint some more ornaments and make some dog treats..no wait. Dog treats I will do tomorrow morning. Maybe I will go in the attic and start bringing down some of the baskets and decorations for Sunday.

I hope that all of you are having a fun time at the Party- I am not able to scrap anything yet but the games are lots of fun!

Hello girls!
Yesterdays the 12 Days game about the million, reminds me something I was thought about at the past few days. I see you aren't much active in Instagram (except Nancy ;) ) , so maybe you aren't noticed, but this November there was full with giveaways from different brands. So If you are inventive and stubborn you could win expensive Christmas gifts for your family. The first disappointment for me came from the fact that they are only US opened :( . And when I finally found great boots with worldwide delivery allowed, the snare was that you have to pay for the delivery, which actually is too expensive to worth it. In my country people mass play lottery, but we don't have many free giveaways as at US.
At least at the grocery store have one in which we play and will see did Santa thinks we are been naughty or nice ;) .

Chris, awesome for the album! And I just told the same about shipings . Have fun outside!
Hooray for the babies!!! This is awesome, for them as for you too! Can't wait to see the layouts about them! Kiss Cait, this wonderful crazy girl!
Ups sorry, I posted before your personals!

Nancy, ohh, this is absolutely cute and romantic story about your husband preparing you special meal that you love! Have fun with the hockey!

Angela, happy belated birthday to your son and best wishes! Thank you so much for the answer! If you make page about the play have to reminds me to see it! I would love to do that!

Trudy, good that your son don't know about this forum or you would spoiled the surprise :D . This video is great idea, by the way. I definitely have fun at the 12 Days scrap, but have to start spending time into the gallery too! I saw lots of great LO at the topics, so have to go give some love to them.
And yes, hehe, you planted this idea about the donkey in me and I have to found the answer. It's annoying to know this stupid joke about the a** meaning donkey, but nothing about the fate of this so important in my understanding supporting character.

Zanthia, how strange that they allow you to contact with the fosters. I never saw where my babies go, but at this way organisation prevent both side foster and owner, from future blackmail between them. Also I hope it's not rude to share my point view, excuse me if sounds rude! But it makes me bad impression how many gifts they offer you. If a new owner isn't ready to take the whole responsibility about the pet needs, this increase seriously possibilities to abandon this pet at first case of financial burden that happens. I totally don't mean you, of course, I know how strong was your love and that you still suffer!

Kay, I can see what you mean about the stress and re-read books, it's as you're going back to familiar place. In my case I read books about main characters who also are in grief. Oh, sorry to hear about your issue with the banking account, sounds really worrying! Especially with all this online shopping during the holidays, always exist risc. Good that the bank is reacted on time!

Rae, I hope you'll can find at least few minutes 'me' time to relax at this busy schedule! The holidays are soon, so stay focus on that :) !

Jean, actually I really think that new vacuum cleaner is exciting thing! Clean House, Clean Mind, Clean Life, they said and why not to happens easier.
Oh, and thank you for the nice words about my comment into the yesterdays game! It's idea I considering from a while. Maybe if I had realised it when I was younger and more believer and vigorous, I was even to try find support to make it happen. But now I'm too tired, too discouraged, to make something. I just hope that someone else will do this sooner or later!

OK, better to go now, because I work on mine scraplift page. Have a lovely and lucky day, you all! :cofbath:

Felis- Snowy and muddy weather is the pits. I hope that your internet didn't give you too much trouble although I see you were able to do personals. I will share the photo of the dogs and us as soon as I get it :)
heh! Yup, if given a choice between jewelry and autographs, I know what Nancy would pick every time.

Nancy- OMG-- how cute is that the little girl was unhappy that they weren't seeing a hockey game. How old were your boys when you started taking them to games? Were they always into it?
Your DH is a keeper!! Thanksgiving dinner-- he knew you wanted that turkey! Caitlyn's last day is the 18th and I think Scott's is either the 18th or 21st. This semester went fast.

Angela- do you have any pets? We are like a zoo over here. 3 dogs is a lot but they are worth it. We have only one cat at this point, we had 6 for many years. When Floyd passes on- hopefully not for a long time but he is older and has kidney disease- we won't get another. I don't think it is fair to a cat with the dogs making him hide so much. We had another cat that stayed upstairs with him but she died earlier this year.
Happy birthday to your DS!!!!! Tell him we all wish him the best!

Trudy- pfft... sleeping until 7.30... sure, rub it in!LOL You had a very busy weekend but very festive for your SIL.
That is a wonderful idea to make a video compilation for DS's 40th.
I think one of the pictures that was taken was of the back of W's head which was blocking most of mine. It is all good and I can't wait to see it too. :D

Stacey!!! Good luck with the Slumber Pawty-- omg how cute is that name! I hope that Dory is a good fit for you. It took us a long time to get W acclimated to us. She was a stray when we rescued her and was pretty crazy. She and J got into a couple of fights, and even a year later she has a few accidents in the house. But-- she is honestly the smartest dog we ever had and that made 100% of a difference. She is very easy to train and very eager to please. I hope that Dory is able to do the same for you. Do you know any of her backstory? Keep us posted!!

Kay- that is maddening about the suspicious activity. My mom had the same problem yesterday. After dealing with your bank, I think I would have felt the same as you are: SSA. One issue at a time... Good luck with all of that today.

Rae- I *know* that Taz will be a much better sitter for you than my crazy girls- he is such a handsome boy. Hope you got all of your work done and had some time to relax.

Jean- we are grey and dreary today. Did you find a vacuum? I love our Shark Navigator. My neighbor has a Dyson and the Shark does a much better job IMHO and is a lot lighter and easier to maneuver.
Huhn. I never put the 2 and 2 together for a crawl space to be named that. 50 years old and I am still learning some obvious things :pound:

xoxo!!

Good morning, ladies. Got a workout done with weights then hopped in the shower and now will get dressed and get to work. Its too cold and icy to go out jogging this morning (27°) so working out with weights indoors was a better idea. Taz thought that meant playtime and was hopping and jumping around me as I was trying to do the routine LOL. When I got down on the floor to do some arm lifts, he thought that meant to pounce on my face...silly boy. So I ended up stretching and playing with him at the same time as he was so excited I couldn't ignore him :)

Yesterday was very busy as is today for work but I'm happy with my productivity. I've been able to focus well in the morning, mostly staying offline and thats been more productive. I only had to work an hour after dinner and then was able to hang out with D and watch some shows for a few hours. I picked Kay to scraplift (12 Days Of Christmas) and can't wait to play later this afternoon probably at lunch time when I take a break. I'm glad my virus is finally going away and I have more energy. It was only a week and a bit but felt longer (I don't make a good sick patient LOL).

Chris - so happy for C that the rat babies are coming. Glad the insurance will kick in soon.

Felis - saw your scraplift (will pop into gallery later to comment) and its gorgeous. Here in Canada we don't get the promotions/contests that the US gets either. We have some giveaways but never anywhere like the US can do. We are often excluded from them. I always say I'm ready to win something big....b/c so far I've never really won anything much. You never know though right? My time could come :)

Better get to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning ladies... I am late arriving here this morning! I was up at 3am :mmph: but decided to read for a bit instead of getting on my computer. DH was up super early too so I made him some breakfast and then slipped back into bed for a bit more sleep  It is really frosty and cold here this morning, but everything is covered in a blanket of frost and very pretty! Another sunny day today, it is nice to have some sunshine to brighten up these chilly days! I really want to do some scrapping today the 12 days, but I have lots of other things to get done also, so will try to get everything done one thing at a time. First I need to get this parcel out in the mail or FedEx or Purolator which one is going to be the fastest and least expensive. It took forever for DS's gift to arrive here ( I got him something small that he has been wanting)so now I can finally get these all sent out to him along with the Canvases that I did for the kids. I need to go and look for something to wear to the Hiking groups Christmas Party this weekend too, I don't have anything nice to wear that fits me anymore, except my dress that I bought to wear to Paris and that is too summery. Wish me luck!

Chris - Hooray for finishing the In-Laws gift!! It must feel great to be done! Hooray for the arrival of the rats too! Cait must be so excited!! We are all so happy for her and for you too!! Hooray for the good news from the Insurance Co. too you just have to make it to the end of December without needing it! However that is crazy that the kids are Insured but not you ?? See I paid for rubbing it in about sleeping til 7:30 LOL thats what I get for shouting my big mouth off!! Hope you have a great time painting your ornaments today! You certainly have been a very productive faery!!

Felis - LOL yes it is a good thing that my son does not know about this forum (as far as I know anyway) Hopefully most of my family doesn't know about this forum :becky: I really need to get more active with Instagram too! I need to find the app that I can use so it is more user friendly with my iMac. That is why I don't post there because it is such a pain to upload anything to Instagram with my Mac.

Rae - Isn't it frosty out this morning! With the lovely sunshine comes the much colder weather and we have so much fog here every morning at this time of year! Glad that you are being so very productive with your work, but I see you are finding time to have fun scrapping too so that is great! I will have to hit the gallery at some point today and catch up with all the wonderful layouts here!! Hope you get to have a nice walk later in the day with Taz!! Watch out for those slippery spots! Looking forward to seeing the puzzle thanks for the feedback!

Jean - Hope you found a great new vacuum! I would hate to go without one, I love clean floors LOL.

Kay - Ugh about the suspicious activity with your bank account! Good thing that your bank was all over it! Hope it never happens again!! I don't know what I would do if someone got into my poor bank account, they would be able to get much if they did LOL.

Zanthia - sounds like you adopted yourself a great little dog! Hope all goes well with Dory!! What a sweet name!

Ok ladies I have much to do and the hours fly by these days!! Have a wonderful day today! Enjoy the 12 Days happenings around here!

Running late getting in here again this morning (afternoon!!). Ended up calling SoSecurity Office and have an appointment on Dec 24th to take my paperwork in and get things straightened out on the Medicare premiums for next year. Glad I didn't drive up there as I would have still had to come back for an appointment. Can't believe the office is opened on Christmas Eve but am glad to know it is. Yes, I am so relieved that the bank was on top of things and protected my account. So I am feeling much better on both of those fronts.

Still don't have a lot of stamina since my bout with the flu. So trying to space out things 'that must be done ASAP' and let those 'things that can wait' slide until I can get around to them. I did finally dig out my wreath for outside on the front door and put it in place. That is all the decorating I am doing this year.

The family hasn't decided when we will have the Christmas get-together but think it will be on the 25th as several of them have to work on Christmas Eve.

Haven't taken time to eat yet... so am off to have 'brunch' as I missed breakfast.

HI all -

chriss- great that you ar e finally getting the rats - would love to see photos

felis - perhaps its different where you live but thats the advantage of going with a dog that is fostered - you gt ot meet the foster family and find out so much more about a pet that if it si just in the shelter. I did fostering in seattle and the future family always came to our home to visit the dog.

bad news - not getting dory tonight. She went to vet yesterday and is still having discharge from her spaying . Not sure when but I would think she would be going to the vet again ( most likely a week) before she can be released. She was taken off the adoptable list yesterday so no one else can express interest in her.
