See ya and don't let the door hit ya on the way out
Man oh man! What a *year!*
*blinks a few times, shakes head to see if anything else is loose up there*
This was an absolute rollercoaster of a year. Some of the best moments of my life along with some stressful ones. I can't complain though, even most of the stressful moments were "good stress." I got a new job, got a new son-in-law, planned a bridal shower, and helped with a wedding.
(I also got a relapse of Lyme but that will be tossed into the crummy stress bucket and then be ignored. At least I didn't get Covid. *knocks wood since there's still time left in the year* )
I don't do resolutions or retrospectives, that up there ^ is about as deep as I go. However, if you want to share any of your thoughts on 2024 or 2025, I'd love to hear them. ♥
My day didn't have the best of starts. My goal of yoga in the morning-- pfft. I was getting dressed and I opened the door to the small linen cabinet in my very small bathroom. A bunch of the shelves had fallen on one another. At first, I thought the brackets had broken but as I started to unload the stuff on them I saw the entire side of the cabinet had separated from the back and wall. It couldn't be fixed from the inside but Gary was able to screw a block of wood to the outside of the wall for support. Not how I wanted to get my day rolling, but what can you do? Then I *had* to take the ornaments off the tree. We have a naked tree and I cannot *wait* for Gary to feel well enough to put that darn thing away. (When I am done with Christmas, I am *done* )
the rest of the afternoon- who knows what I did... laundry, played with the rats, (my goodness they are sooo cute!), and started to scrap a LO with one of the photos I took to send to Caitlyn. Since Cait and Tom weren't home, I cooked the rest of the frozen salmon I got from the FP and mashed potatoes. Good dinner.
So far this morning, I already placed my grocery order for pick up this afternoon. I wanted to schedule for Thursday but there weren't any spots open in the morning and I am working in the afternoon. Yoga is going to be the first thing I do after I log off from here.
I was hoping to have a PJ day but that's not going to happen. Maybe tomorrow.
All of my love and best wishes to all of you for a wonderful, happy, healthy, and fulfilling new year!
