Oh goodness, I made it!!!!!!! All of my insanity of Dec seems to be on its way down. Dr's appt's, eye tests, shopping and so on, slowly trickling to a steady river instead of roaring rapids.

Great news re: Cait- she passed her test! I knew she would be find on the track, but the parallel parking was squishy. She pulls up to the line to wait for the instructor, who comes to the window which can't be rolled down because of the broken wire. Then she tests Cait on blinkers and brakes, but Cait can't hear a thing she is saying because - well, no windows. I run over (hobble as fast as I could) to tell her what the instructor was asking, then I head back over to the end of the track to wait for her. My phone rings, and it is Cait asking where I am. I still had to give the instructor paperwork. Run the stuff over, then back off to sit and wait. A few mins later, Cait comes cruising down the road and stops, but is still in the car w/ instructor for what seems liked forever. I see the instructor waving her hands and Cait looking back and forth and I am thinking, yikes, she did so bad that the instructor was telling her all of the things she needs to correct for next time. She gets out of the car and walk over to me and I am so nervous. Instructor tells me she passed and I guess the look on my face was one of incredulity, and she started laughing and asked if she should fail Cait. hahah!!
When I asked Cait why it took so long, she was asking Caitlyn about her lipstick!

Then to DMV-- the place where souls go to wither and die on hard plastic seats.
Thank all of the gods that we get along so well because it would have been a brutal wait otherwise. 3+ hours. I think we had to have been annoying the people around us b/c we were laughing so much.

On our way home, she asked if we could get slices of pizza from Frank's for dinner. They have those yummy gourmet types- my fave is penne and vodka on a thick crust. Thanks to her friends being so generous with the F-W's orders, I had some "extra" money to do that. Good thing b/c I was in no shape to cook.:)

Today I am off to go food shopping and then wrap some more gifts. And we have to call our insurance agent to add Cait to our policy.
4 drivers in the house. :faint2:

xoxo!!!

Kat- nope, not ready for another driver. When Scott started driving on his own, he took Cait to a friend's house 5 minutes away. When he didn't come back when I thought he should, I started to worry. (who, me????) A few mins more and I am looking out the window. Another 10+ mins and I listening for sirens. Turned out that there was construction and he was detoured to a road he didn't know and he had to loop around to get back here. I was baout to have a heart attack, not sure if I am ready to do that again!

I know all of you moms of drivers have BTDT!

I hope that your body is readjusting to EST. But on the good side, the weather change won't be too much of a shock to your system. They are predicting 60-70*F for the holidays!
Your mom sounds like a piece of work, and I mean that in the BEST way possible. :)

Nancy- How cute to see the kids at the Star Wars show. Ray and Jaida are the same way with toys. Whatever toy R has, J will go right up and take it from her, even if she has the same toy too. Hope that you had a nice calm day with just you and Luther. When does he go to get any stitches out?

Sandra- you don't know how happy that makes me to hear that you are scrapping again. Hope that you can post her some more, it think the support from us will do you good, I know how it helps me.

And yes, with all of my :blah: I am late!
TTYS!

Morning!! Starting to get my groove back - a little more sleep last night helped with that, although trying to get out of bed this morning was a bit of a chore.

Yay Cait!! I hate parallel parking on my test, too, and still can't do it properly LOL Managed to do it just well enough to pass my test, but that was about it.

Quiet in the office - I'm the only one here. Kind of eerie, but can get a lot done in the next hour. Mind you, some of my employees at client sites are already online and working, so the emails are already starting to trickle through. Today's the last day for my payroll person. We have a replacement already lined up as the current gal wasn't going to cut it. Nice person, just not the right fit for what we need ... that means I'll be one my own for two weeks until the new gal starts. Thankfully, it's a somewhat quiet time - well, for a few days, at least ;)

Sandra, welcome back to digiland!

Chris - Hooray for Cait!! Tell her Congrats from me!! Don't worry she will do just fine driving on her own! Had to laugh about the place where you go to wither and die on plastic seats!! I can't imagine waiting that long anywhere!! We are so spoiled here! That pizza sounds so good, glad you had the extra $'s to do that!

Kat - Nice to have you back and glad to hear that you are getting your groove back! Hope you have found a great new payroll person enjoy the quiet of the empty office for a bit, I am sure it will be very busy for you soon!

Claire - So sad to hear that your computer has crashed and that you won't be able to scrap for a while, hope you continue to visit with us though! We will miss your beautiful art!!

Hi to everyone else  I am beat and on my way back to bed, hope to be here later today!

Good morning. A quiet day yesterday. Two good walks with Luther but he is starting to want to chase squirrels and whoa he is strong and fast. Had a good dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter. And her daughter wanted to visit Luther and he was a real charmer. Today my DH got up early and took Luther on a walk. Good for the puppy. Got the last presents bought so that made me happy. Today will be low key for sure. Oh yea I also got my Christmas cards done.

Chris congrats to Cait. This first year is the most worrisome.

Kat so glad you are feeling more normal.

Trudy you are up way too early.

Sandra welcome back to scrapping

Have a great day. So glad days are getting longer.

good morning! I'm up and it's almost lunch... have things to do but had to sit down and pop a phenegran and drink some sprite before I try to go out in the car... this mysterious illness is driving me nuts!

Today I have to go shopping... gonna buy some things to make candy to take to Mom's on Friday... I need to stop at the Dollar Tree and pick up some stocking stuffers too... I got a gift card to Cracker Barrel so I may have to stop by and pick up an order to go... this will be the first time I've been out of the house since Saturday!

My car will be ready on Monday (it's been in the shop since my accident). I'm waiting on my support check so I can pay down on it, but the ex's employer holds it for a full 7 days before mailing it so with the holiday I'm sure it will be late ugh...

Chris - so glad Cait passed her test! I'm happy to be scrapping again too... the support I get from you guys is the only thing that helped me when Daddy died... I have missed you all so much.

Thanks Kat and Nancy - it's good to be back!

Morning Trudy!

Okay, I'm off... have to finish my grocery list and then get moving... have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Just popping in real quick to say hi and then have to go. I have lots to do today and won't be on the computer much. I know I'll get everything done but I won't get sitting down to relax much until Xmas Eve. Lots of little details to finish up. I just finished charging and loading some books onto a kobo for my GD. She is probably going to cry LOL. Other than my mother and I, she is the only other family member who is an avid reader. She reads every day. Her and I have always shared our love of books and would often go shopping for new books together, would swap books, hang out at the library, discuss the books together, etc. So she will not be expecting this gift from us and is going to be so excited when she opens it. I told my hubs to not buy me anything else, let me spend the money on her. It's well worth it. I am so excited I can't stand it.

Anyway, gotta go. Chris - so glad Cait passed. Yay!

Have a great day, everyone. I might get to check in later tonight. I can't believe it's almost Christmas!

Afternoon O fam! Wanted to stop in and wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We are heading both to my son's and then the beach and who would have thought it would be this warm. I have been offered the job, however have not been given a wage- waiting to hear on that. I must say that this year without being around very many people is the first in several years I have not been sick at Christmas- I will take it! Okay off to take a walk and enjoy the nearly 60 degree weather!

Yay Laurie - that's great new son the job. Hopefully the salary is within the range of what you're hoping for ... what a great way to start out the New Year!

Sandra - hope you feel better.

Trudy - WTH were you doing up at 2:30 am?! I have an excuse with the jetlag LOL
