Oh goodness, I made it!!!!!!! All of my insanity of Dec seems to be on its way down. Dr's appt's, eye tests, shopping and so on, slowly trickling to a steady river instead of roaring rapids.
Great news re: Cait- she passed her test! I knew she would be find on the track, but the parallel parking was squishy. She pulls up to the line to wait for the instructor, who comes to the window which can't be rolled down because of the broken wire. Then she tests Cait on blinkers and brakes, but Cait can't hear a thing she is saying because - well, no windows. I run over (hobble as fast as I could) to tell her what the instructor was asking, then I head back over to the end of the track to wait for her. My phone rings, and it is Cait asking where I am. I still had to give the instructor paperwork. Run the stuff over, then back off to sit and wait. A few mins later, Cait comes cruising down the road and stops, but is still in the car w/ instructor for what seems liked forever. I see the instructor waving her hands and Cait looking back and forth and I am thinking, yikes, she did so bad that the instructor was telling her all of the things she needs to correct for next time. She gets out of the car and walk over to me and I am so nervous. Instructor tells me she passed and I guess the look on my face was one of incredulity, and she started laughing and asked if she should fail Cait. hahah!!
When I asked Cait why it took so long, she was asking Caitlyn about her lipstick!
Then to DMV-- the place where souls go to wither and die on hard plastic seats.
Thank all of the gods that we get along so well because it would have been a brutal wait otherwise. 3+ hours. I think we had to have been annoying the people around us b/c we were laughing so much.
On our way home, she asked if we could get slices of pizza from Frank's for dinner. They have those yummy gourmet types- my fave is penne and vodka on a thick crust. Thanks to her friends being so generous with the F-W's orders, I had some "extra" money to do that. Good thing b/c I was in no shape to cook.
Today I am off to go food shopping and then wrap some more gifts. And we have to call our insurance agent to add Cait to our policy.
4 drivers in the house. :faint2:
xoxo!!!
