Goo morning to all of you!! How is everyone today? Hope you are all doing amazing! We have one week to go 'til Christmas, is everyone getting it all together?
I wrapped a bit more after work, so aside form a few things that are still coming in the mail, I am pretty much on target.

Its too bad that the rest of my life and house is in utter chaos!! LOL I have over 200 emails to go through, most of them are junk, but still... And I still have boxes and crud shoved into every corner. But I'll get there.

Today I am off to the Lyme Dr with Gary. He is so tired of the IV now. I can't blame him, but seriously, dude. We have invested too much time, money, energy to give up now. Onward, ho!! :yarpirate

Tip on Tuesday:
???

:tea: is my friend.

Quickie personals cuz this faery is running out of steam (already! its only 6:15 am!)

Linda S-- The cake balls sound yummmmm-MY!!!! Are they hard to make, or do you have one of those Cake Baby machines?
Happy to hear you had another easy Monday! Do the kids have off of sports while on Winter Break too?

Laurie- what a very sweet thing to do with the horse ornaments. Its always nice to send things to a good home. You'll have to fill us in on the Amish Wedding. I had no idea that their customs would be so different but I guess that is no different than the different Christian branches.

Trudy- eeeeewwwww, snow!!!!! We are having more and more rain here. Soooo dreary. But I will take rain over snow any day. Saw my gyn yesterday. He said the pains and heavy bleeding are normal for menopause. Really??? All he said to do was to take an iron supp so I don't become anemic. I have been seeing this guy since before Cait was born, so I trust him for the most part, but I find it hard to believe its all normal. Who knows, maybe it is and I am just a big baby. ;)

Nancy-- ITA with you-- women would do much much better in negotiating!

Waves madly at Terry!!

Phyllis- whew!!!! I was so worried about you. I am sorry that your eyes and head are giving you so much trouble :(
If there is anything I can do, just holler!

Time to flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

:faint:

Oops. Didn't see that wall.

Morning O fam- got most of a workout in, before I was sidelined by bathroom pitstops- I think eating the filling for peanut butter balls minus the chocolate before bed was not a good idea!

hahaaa! Laurie, i'm making Buckeyes this morning! i have the worst part done--mixing together the powdered sugar and margarine and pnut butter with my hands and rolling the mess into balls. i am never tempted to sample the stuff, for obvious reasons. plus, i don't reallt LIKE sweet stuff. hope you're feeling better fast!

Chris, i'm glad you posted the Lanza blog post. when i was telling a friend about that article, she mentioned that you had posted it on Facebook. i don't know what your FB page is, but i was happy that someone who has experience with the mental part of this horror chimed in. the mental health industry and laws in the USA are hideous and create trouble like these parents and kids endure. unless someone has experience with trying to get a kid older than 18 HELP, people have No idea how the civil libertarians have hamstrung families and patients and left the public at large open to the dangers of an untreated mental illness. that article is the absolute truth.

gonna get off the computer now. hi to everybody!

Good morning ladies! Quick one here from me. I woke up at 12:30 and was awake until 3:30. So you can guess what kind of shape I am in now! Oh, it will be a very long day...

Good news, I only have one more package to arrive for under the tree. And a bank run for cash...and a stop at the soccer store for Sydney for some shoes to wear outside over socks so that she doesn't get her indoor soccer shoes and basketball shoes outside but also doesn't have to tie shoes after a game. However, unless I think of one more small thing for Shaun, this might be something that she buys with Christmas money from Papa. Because things are pretty even now. (I sound just like my mom! :)

Good luck with Gary's dr's appt Chris! I hope there is good news that give all of you the strength to carry on!

Laurie, the peanut butter balls sound yummy!

Just saw our weather and we are supposed to start getting snow around 10 tomorrow morning and wind up with 4-8 inches. With the heaviest at rush hour. Continuing through the night. I told Brian to plan on staying at a hotel if it gets that bad. And I'm going to leave a little early to make sure that I can get home without event. And, all the way home, I'll count the days to Maui.

Off to the shower...everyone have a good day!

Oh I missed Phylis. Glad that you popped in! The buckeyes sound delicious... And how good for you that you don't like sweets. They are my downfall...

Good morning ladies.....

I had another day of busy busy yesterday....my TO DO LISTS are so long now!!! But I know that will calm in Jan...once Mom goes back to the DR I am cutting my days back to once a week at her house. She can resume the cooking and light duty chores. But I still will go mop and do the heavy cleaning...the only thing I worry over is her going up and down the stairs too much for the laundry. She can do it...but she doesn't need to...as it will just pull her down...so I am thinking if I spend the whole day there once a week and I can do most of it while I do the other work too.

P...I am sorry you had to quit Anna's team. I really hope this eye thing gets straight so you can jump back in!!! But very happy to see you here!!! But I know what is wrong with you...................you said you DON'T like sweet stuff....good grief woman!!! YOU NEED SUGAR!!! it's a girl's best friend :becky:

Well...I am off...I need to start wrapping presents and get some work done....hope to pop back on later!!!

LOTS OF LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling ok again after 2 days with sneezing, sniffling and fever. Good thing - I need to go shopping today. Luckily my sister needed that too, so she's picking me up soon. DH is home sick from work too, and today John complained about not feeling well either. A family should share things, right?

Other than that, I'm busy knitting. Made a scarf for mom for Christmas, and one for my sister. Now I'm working on a pair of wristwarmers for dad.

Woke up this morning, checked my email and have such a sad email from a friend of mine. I tell you, my heart is breaking for people. Between my niece, my friend, all the people in CT---I'm sad.

Going to a prayer vigil tonight. The church I belong to is hosting a prayer vigil for the families affected by the CT shooting. This is probably just what I need to day---time in prayer.

Hubby and I decided we are getting away--leaving on the 26th for a few days. Need to get the heck out of dodge!! He had an oncology appt. scheduled for the 26th. I called yesterday to change it. The girl kept telling me--well, he really needs his treatment. Shouldn't put it off too long--like the next week. Well, the way I figure it --he hasn't died yet from this stuff, what's one more week. Good grief!

Sounds like most people are winding up getting ready for Christmas. Just remember to not stress out and enjoy the season.

Morning "O" lovely ladies! Looks like we got a fresh sprinkle of the white stuff during the night again. So I guess I will be taking MG to work with me this morning, I told him he needed to put on his snow tires, but he didn't think we would have any snow this winter (I hate to say I told you so, oh I guess I just did LOL) Short day for me today and then the next 2 days off. I am so happy to have these hrs back!! Pretty much done all that I can do for Chirstmas, just a matter of picking up stocking stuffers for MG as that is all we are doing for gifts this year. Thinking of maybe planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta soon. We will see.

Chris - Hope things go well at the dr today! You will get your house in order soon I am sure, baby steps! I am not sure about the heavy flow as being part of menopause? Mine just started to slow down and disappear as the years went by. But you have a good dr. so I am sure he knows best! Hope your day goes without any troubles today!

Laurie - Oops!! Hope you don't have to make runs to the bathroom all day!! Hard to complete your workout when that happens!! But I bet the sampling was good at the time!

Phylis - So glad that you are able to pop in once in awhile, but sad that you had to leave Anna's Team!! Hopefully you will get over this migraine stuff and will be able to join us more often! feel better my friend! Our mental health laws are not that great here in Canada either, there is no place for these people to get the help that they need.

LindaS - Uggh on the non sleep!! Hope that you make it through your busy day ok! It will be long one with that little bit of sleep you had! Hope you all make it home safe and sound before the snow hits hard!!

NanaLinda - Sounds like your Mom is doing a bit better! Glad to hear it! How great that she has such a great daughter to take care of her! I bet it will be a happy day at your house this Christmas with all the kids! You really should get the mother, daughter and Nana of the year award!!

Eva - Have fun shopping with your sister and hope everyone feels better in your household soon!

Well gotta get some breakfast and get this morning over with so I can get back home and do what needs to be done around here. Have a great day everyone!

good morning I had a great evening last night. One of my favorite restaurants held a special night of caroling by our high school madrigal singers. Dinner with my girlfriends and Christmas carols sung live and great food! It was such a fun time. They also collect for Toys for Tots so I also got to give! And I when I got up this am my husband has finally put the lights on our tree so it can now be decorated!

Phylis - thanks for popping in! hope you swiftly get over this migraine/computer thing. Mental health has such a stigma attached to it and it seems to me that before we can make credible changes people have to realize this is a true disease. I am sure Anna is going to miss you on her team.

Chris good luck at the doctor's today! sounds like everything is coming together!

Laurie sorry about the mulitple bathroom visits.

LindaS - I woke up at 12:30 and almost got up but luckily went back to sleep. Hope your day goes well

Linda nana - sounds like you have a great plan for being there for your mom but not hovering.

Trudy yes you can say I told you so. I would like a little snow if I have to have grey days which is what it has been like for too many days here in NJ. Have fun on your days off!
