Today is Day 12 of the party! Thank goodness we have all month to finish the challenges, I plan on working my way through them once I have time to breathe. :desk3:
I don't even know what I did yesterday or what I am doing today. It's all a blur. I know I baked toffee bars. Scott came here for dinner. The last update on Sarah was that she was in the hospital, I hope the baby is born by now. Jaida had a good day yesterday. Don't get me wrong, she is still being a big ol' butt but she did some PT exercises- as long as I kept feeding her bits of treats. She wanted to run this morning which she cannot do.
No news if Cait and Tom are submitting an application for the apt.
I also don't know what I am doing today. I forgot to drain the ricotta overnight so I did that as soon as I got settled this morning. I hope it's dry enough to work with this afternoon. I'm also making some of the seasoning for the gift baskets- chili-lime salt and lemon-thyme salt. Plus candied almonds- some cinnamon-sugar and some cayenne-sugar.

Throw in J's PT and helping both of my parents order Christmas gifts online and seriously?? Who needs to breathe?:thud:

@vickyday it rained like mad here Sunday and Monday too. Our sump pump has been running, although not as much today as yesterday. That sounds very delightful to watch the robins taking mud baths.
How exciting to be in touch with your cousin! Does she live near you?

@BrightEyes It's horrible when 23* is not "as cold" as the day before- Brutal! Hope it is warmer today. Did I mention that her bouquet also came in? She ordered a bouquet of silk flowers from an Etsy shop and oh, wow, it is stunning! She wanted silk flowers so she can keep it, plus was much less money than a real bouquet would have been. Esp since she ordered in on Black Friday, she got it 30% off or something like that. It's plum, mauve, and white. Just perfect ♥

@tanteva keep on getting healthier! BTW- Breathing is highly overrated. (see my first post :giggle4: )

BRB-- It's 8am and and time for Jaida's breakfast and medications.

Back for a few minutes and then I have to figure out WTH I am doing! :rolleyes1:

@Cherylndesigns I love the photos and the LO! TFS!! ♥
Where is Adrienne in NJ? I hope she isn't driving anywhere up North Jersey by me. Roads were pretty bad early this morning but anywhere other than way up north should be fine. Cold but dry. And I bet that she isn't up here- no corporate headquarters in the mountains. There is a bunch in Mahway near Cait's job, a lot near where my parents are in Parsippany, and a ton in the Cherry Hill area in South Jersey.

@taxed4ever Congrats on finishing your Christmas shopping!! *throws confetti*
Happy birthday to Jason. I can't imagine how much you must miss your kids. I miss Scott and I see him at least once a week, even if it is for a quick coffee break.
Hehe, you are nowhere close to being a Scrooge. believe me, I am a Scrooge so I know! LOL!!
The wedding is Sept 13 so there is time but it's going so fast.

Vicky- I told Gary yesterday that I am so done with Christmas prep. I'll be like this until the 23rd and then I will be super happy until the 26th when I want to take everything down. :D

@bcgal00 I have missed seeing those furry faces! (But why does Remi look guilty?) I love how bright and airy the rooms are. So happy for you all!

Talk about getting up early!!!! I was awake and out of bed by 3:30AM. Woke up early thinking about the Day 12 challenge I am hosting. Wanted to get my LO into the gallery... So glad I was up early as it was off to a rip-roaring start - several gals had already posted plus had questions about the photo size. I got the link for it so they could get the full size one to work with. I can see I will have to stop by frequently to keep up with the challenge.

Yesterday I called the city to report the street light across the road from my house that has been out for over 3 weeks. Turned out that no one had reported it to them. The man said they would get someone out soon to get it working again. I like that it lit up our end of the block so I didn't have to have my outside garage lights on.

So glad that Cait is pleased with her bouquet... DD#2 had one with silk flowers, too. She put the flowers in a vase afterwards. Oh, I love the colors in Cait's. I was wondering you were getting a lot of rain from that nor'easter storm. Hope the sump pump can keep up with all that rain!!! It actually got up to 57*F yesterday afternoon and will be about the same today... then the storm fronts come in for the next 2 days... with the possibility of snow. I need to pick up Rx's at the base on Friday so hope the roads are clear then.

@bcgal00 Loved seeing the photos of the family room/kitchen area in your new house. Wow... that was fast response from the lighting people... definitely faster than the old place!!! Hope the wanted new lighting will fit within your budget. Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better and are spacing out the work with rest. Yes, Remi does look a bit guilty... wonder what for??

@Cherylndesigns I loved the LOs and the photos. Ava sure does look happy in them. Good that the home health nurse is pleased with how DH is doing. I thought of him last night as I drank a Boost. I haven't tried the strawberry flavored ones... may give them a try next.

Well, back to checking out my challenge. HAGD

Quick in and out today as I overdid it with my wrist yesterday! I did commenting in the gallery yesterday on Day 10's Gift to the World submissions and it was too much, so my wrist is very stiff today! And I got the laundry caught up, so that didn't help!
Heading out to go to lunch with Mark in just a bit. I need to stop at the PO to get Christmas stamps for my cards I'm sending. Other than that, I'm not doing much today! Plus I woke up with another headache! Someone just shoot me! JK. ;)

Morning ladies... quick in and out of here from me this morning also. I am heading out on a mission to find Skor Bars for the dessert that I was asked to make for Christmas/Boxing Day dinner. We are having Christmas Dinner on Boxing Day with SIL Sharon, her family and the In-Laws in Victoria. Christmas Dinner will be with Mark and Linda at Linda's place, so hooray for me I don't have to do any cooking this Christmas!! The dessert is Death by Chocolate Trifle, something that DH and I will not be able to eat, but the others love it so that is what they wanted me to bring. Skor Bars are not so easy to find anymore, so I am going to Walmart and the Dollar Stores to see if they have any. Not sure what I will do if I can't find any?? :(. Wish me luck!!

@faerywings - I hope you find a few minutes to breath today! Yes there is no need to worry about the 12 Days we have until the end of the month. You think you are behind on things here?? I still haven't gotten the coupons out for the November Challenge winners :giggle4: They can't use them until after the 12 Days are over anyway, so I have bothered with it yet. Glad to hear the Jaida is sort of behaving better for you! She will be all fattened up for Christmas with all the treats she has been getting!! Caitlyn's bouquet for the wedding sounds so pretty!! What a great idea to have silk flowers instead of real ones!!

@vickyday - Uggh on your headache and stiff arm today! Hopefully your lunch out will help with feeling better??

@BrightEyes - Ohhh nooo not 3:30am wake up!! That is way to early!! Sounds like you will be very busy with this last challenge day!

@bcgal00 - Your new place looks amazing, hope everyone is settling in and that you are starting to feel much better!

Ok I have to get my hair dried and slap on a bit of makeup before heading out, have a great morning everyone! :xmas-sheep:

Good afternoon all.

Still quiet here with Adrienne and Roger gone. Ava's coming over today then she leaves Friday. Alyssa leaves tomorrow. Wish us NO emergencies. We will have Aly and Casey if anything does come up. Adrienne and Roger will be home Sunday and Ava will be home Sunday, too. I got some of my decorations out today, but most are staying in the boxes for next year. Remember the palm tree Chuck surprised me with when I got home from Floriday last December? I wrapped white twinkle lights all over it this morning and moved it to the front window. It looks so pretty. The left-over lights trail along the floor to the outlet. I love those lights and might keep them on the palm tree all year.

Chris @faerywings Adrienne is near the city, that's all I know. She flew into Newark and they Uber everywhere, so she won't be driving. She says there's no way she would try to drive there. She called me when the plane landed and said it was pretty cold. I told her it was 55 here. She only has to go there about once a year, which she's glad of.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the pictures I posted. Drake is a cutie and they seem very happy. The one picture was from a 5K run they did recently. They're into all sorts of athletic activities and he's a scratch golfer and she's tryint to learn to play. Good luck with that. She's way too impatient for that game, but I didn't tell her that. She's a typical new golfer - they think they think they can learn that gam in a couple of weekends. :floorlaugh: I told her three things: keep your head down and keep your eye on the ball and don't look up the minute you hit it. Repeat: keep your head down.

Kay @BrightEyes Chuck prefers the strawberry, so you should try that. It also flavors his smooties more. Yes, the nurse was pleased with what I'm giving him and not concerned about his weight as long as he doesn't lose more. She's due back tomorrow or Friday.

I didn't tell you girls that the administrator from the VN Group calls me about once a week. I told her about the smooties and she asked me to send her the recipe. She wants to share it with other patients who are having a hard time with their appetites, and she thought it was a wonderful concoction that I had come up with. I was so flattered that she wanted the recipe. The VN actually wrote down the ingredients too when she was here last week.

I'd better get off of here and get my mess picked up. I've got stuff all over the LR. I'm getting ready to post the "Gift to the world" challenge LO. Boy, did I think long and hard about that one. Hint: it has pictures of Ava and her Lab on it. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Love and hugs to @vickyday @taxed4ever and @bcgal00

Did you check Amazon for the Skor candy?
The headache is a bit better this evening, but I've been trying to get the scrapbook done from the baby shower and my arm is achy again tonight! Tomorrow I will be with Ilene, hopefully, away from the house, so that will be better for me, LOL!
