GooooOOOOd morning O-fam!!!
Happy Tuesday!! (I won't say how many days until Christmas and freak anyone out needlessly. I did that yesterday at the dr's office and I thought the poor dr was gonna faint. She thought she had another week. )

I am plugging along, woke up at 2 am freaking out about more stuff I have to do. Then after I sort of fell back asleep, I dreamed that I was awake, checking my clock, again and again!

I am off to clean/work today, then I am going to start working on the chair I am refinishing for Christopher. My SIL gave me and old wooden chair of hers and I am painting it for him for C-mas. Today I am sanding it down and tomorrow I'll start the primer.
Has anyone done a project like this? Any tips? I looked online for some How To's but it was mostly the basics. I used to do a lot of crafting -- shelves, stools, etc -- way back when, but they were always for myself so if they weren't perfect, I didn't care.
But since this one is a gift, I want it to be awesome.:D

Other than that, it should be a quiet day? I hope??

Tip on Tuesday:
Check out the O-Shop! I saw the Haps in my email this morning and there is so much new fun and gorgeous stuff in the store!!

Personals from yesterday

...and one from Sunday-- I saw Nana popped in! Sorry that I miss you on the weekend, but I was scared if I showed up, you were gonna hand me a broom and mop! All that dirt! ahhh!!

Laurie- What a nice day-- lunch, a party and not having to stay too late at work!! Yay!!!

Linda S- Next Monday is my gyn appt and I said to Gary that the dr *better* help me cuz this is too much!!
And i love your work schedule!! The next month is going to fly for you!

Nancy- I hear ya on the weather here. Boo!!! Its miserable. But-- it could be worse, it could be cold and snowy!! But even yesterday at 3pm when I took the kids down to their appt-- it looked like it was already night time is was so dark. After Dec 21st, I get all happy to see the days getting slightly longer again!
So happy to hear you had a great time in Albany too!

Heather-- that sounds like a very sweet weekend with the family. Your DD's friend is having heart surgery? Eeep! Many good thoughts to her!

Happy Birthday Jen!!!!! Enjoy a lazy day today. And yes, please hook us up with your blog :)

Phyllis- tee-hee, I do love Christmas. My family very sacrilegiously jokes that we celebrate the birth of Baby Santa. But when I was a kid, I loved going to Mass during Advent and one of my fav carols is Oh Holy Night. Love it!
But yes, there is a special spot somewhere for me, I joke that I am going to be the only Non-Catholic Saint ever.

Trudy!! Awesome days for you too!!!!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling having things getting done and somewhat settled?? Yay!! Hope you get gobs of scrap time in today too.

Hope it is a wonderful day for you all!!

I had the scare of my life this morning! Woke up to the smoke detector going off! This morning was the first day the heater kicked in--guess it was blowing off dust or something because we couldn't find a fire.

I've been in hiding the last few days--long story short--we are going through a family crisis with my niece. She is lost, lost, lost. I have her living with me temporarily--she is separated from the dad of her kid-they were doing drugs and he held a gun to her head-their kid has been removed and is in foster care now---going to court this morning. Keep her in prayer--and say one for me too.

I did get a layout completed yesterday. It was simple but at least I did something!

Off to do a little work since I'll be in court with the niece most of the day.

I sure appreciate the love and support from this O' family.

Chris, i always wanted to have a chair that was painted something like THIS: http://helenheinspeterson.com/pages/helenfr002.htm. i love legs with the checkerboard and other designs. there are probably some other photos of stuff like this online that would be easier, but fun and quirky!

Terry, holy cow! for BOTH of the things that are happening to you. i can't imagine waking up to a smoke alarm. heart attack RIGHT THEN for me! i hope the troubles with your niece works out with the least hurt possible. it's a complicated and dangerous situation. prayers going out for both of you. be careful.

nothing interesting going on here today. housework, laundry, a few errands. big thrill. i do have to bake and freeze my bread for Christmas dinner, but i don't think i feel like it today. i also have to bake something low-carb so that i don't have to think about breakfast every morning. i like to just wake up, shove something in my mouth and get on with the day. i COULD wake up and cook bacon and eggs, but the thought of doing all that as soon as i get up isn't inviting. and since i can't eat any of the NORMAL fast stuff, like a bowl of cereal or a toast, i have to plan ahead. what a pain.:mmph:

enjoy your day. look for a little moment of Christmas spirit!

I just finished my work out and have to hop on it to get to work on time. Have wonderful days- guess I should check the weather to see what to wear!

Chris, I was just telling the kids yesterday that soon it would be Dec. 21 and we would have the worst of the short days behind us.

Terry, prayers going out for you, your niece and everyone involved. What a frightening situation.

Phylis, I have one slice of toast with 1T of peanut butter for breakfast. And, surprisingly, thatngets my glucose off to a pretty good start. I tell you though, it drives me crazy trying to keep it level. And forget about stress or illness...just sends it into the sky.

Good job on that workout Laurie. Someday I will stop in and tell all of you that I have my workout done and you will all faint!

Off to the shower for me.

Morning ladies, off for my 4hr shift today and then home to scrap something, anything, I haven't scrapped a page in ages and I am having withdrawal!! Windy here this morning, hope that doesn't mean its blowing in the white stuff!!

Chris - Have fun redoing the chair, I used to do a lot of that also, and yes I can paint like the one Phylis has a link to. I just kinda got tired of painting, but then when I look at that one it makes me want to start again. I did a great stool for my sister of a cat laying on the seat and the tail winding up and around the the back of the chair. She still has it I think in her B&B.

Terry - Oh how sad for your family to have these worries, hope everything works out at court today, hope they get the help they need. What a fright you had waking up to a smoke alarm going off! Not a great start to an already stressful day!

Laurie - Good for you getting your workout done again! Better get moving or you will be late for work LOL Hope the weather is good for you today and you don't have to dress in too many layers.

Phylis - Hope you find something interesting to have for your breakfast today, I am not a big breakfast fan either, but you gotta fuel the body in the morning to keep it going. Would rather have your day than mine, don't feel like going to work today!

LindaS - Hope that your work day goes by without any stress! Hooray for the days getting longer, I am tired of the dark mornings. Dr. phoned yesterday and told me that I need to start taking Vitamin D supplements, perhaps it will help me with how tired I am feeling all the time?? Have a great day!

Well off to the shower and lets get this morning over with, so I can get back here and get a page or two done today. LOL I will probably fall asleep in front of the computer
Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone!

Good morning - yea the sun is shining with a few clouds so pretty!

Terry I too would have had a heart attack with the smoke alarm, I hope all goes well in court today. Sending prayers

Phylis I dont know what I would do without bread, but you have to do what you have to do.

Chris I always admire those that do hands on crafts. I cannot draw, I dont like messes so you can see why I am a digital scrapbooker.

Trudy enjoy your scrapping time.

Have a great Tuesday!

Have to share this project that I did a few years back, these are my old bed posts from my four post bed, when we got a new bed I begged my hubby to keep the posts, he thought that I was a bit nuts!
