The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
helllloooooOOOO! How are you doing today? I hope everyone is having a great day so far. ♥
(Can you tell I am feeling a little less Lyme-y?)
Yup, I have been feeling slightly better the last two mornings. By the end of the day, I am wrecked but I'm not *starting* my day wrecked so :woohoo:
Celebrate even the smallest of victories.
That's my goal-- even when I fail at the big picture things. I wasn't able to finish Cait's book. I got one more LO done, so still two more to go. I was finally getting started on LO#19 when the Weis director asked me to submit the Winter Session overview and topics so she could open up registration now. I had been thinking about it, but nothing concrete in my head. That took longer than it should have with the mashed potato brain syndrome I got goin' on. ;)

It also took me so much longer than usual to make the dog cookies, probably because I used quick Oats instead of rolled oats. That's what I got from the FP so I made do. Ish. The "dough" kept crumbling on me and my puppies were thrilled when I kept knocking the loose bits on the floor. Little Hoovers underfoot. :vacuuming: :dancingdog:

I have to get my food shopping order this morning and then off to work. It's the last day of the session and I'll have a few weeks off for the holidays. That is when I will prepare for the upcoming session and field trips.

I think I scrapped a page for a challenge, but that might have been the day before??
Yup, the day before I did the Same Photo one. :nod1:

On that note, HAGD!! xoxo

BTW, I am attempting to take my own advice, although I am resisting it. I am telling myself that if I can't finish Caitlyn's book in time for the holidays, I can print out one page and wrap that. It is better to take my time and have the LOs look nice than rush through it and be unhappy with the results. Right?
If I can only listen to myself and act on that. LOL!

@mimes1 It's ok to not have the house decorated. I promise! We have the tree up and the lights outside and that is allll we are doing this year. The level of indoor decorating was me taking the few branches that were trimmed from the bottom of Caitlyn's real tree and throwing them into some vases :D
Any news/updates on DD's interview? We are all hoping for the best!

I had a "hit" and "miss" in cooking yesterday
As long as you have a hit and you aren't starving, sometimes that is all you can do at the end of the day. :D I tried to make hash browns (Again. I have tried about every hash brown recipe I find on the web and they never, ever come out good), and man they were a MISS. Sorry to hear that your pie wasn't good, Maybe if you cover it with enough Cool Whip you can salvage it.

Good Monday Morning everyone! It was another whirlwind of a weekend!! I keep wondering if I will get a chance to get anything accomplished here at the O when my DH retires!!
Ummm, do you want an honest answer to that?
:exitroom:

That's awful about the CA Post strike, are they expecting it to end any time soon?
Congrats to Hunter, I have no idea what any of the karate words mean but I am proud of him! As for kits, I can't think of any karate ones, but ViVa has some Asian-themed ones you might be able to adapt.

I had to post that, the site was doing that thing where it was hanging.
Where was I? Yeah, how could I forget this part:
Okay. I'm game. I'll tie you to the desk! *insert wicked laugh* Always glad to help out. :giggle4:
:cuffed: Thanks. I think.
You need someone to do that to you since you probably overworked yourself getting the house cleaned yesterday. :p

Good morning ladies. I'm enjoying my day at home. Other than walking Remi I don't have to go out. I'll be scrapping, creating jewelry, reading a Xmas themed book and watching youtube videos throughout the day. The rest of the week is busy every day so I'll enjoy this quiet day.
I love that this is what you call a "quiet day." LOL! But seriously-- it sounds like a lovely day of puttering!
That's awesome that you and your friend were able to compare jewelry supplies and ideas.

Kay- You timed it all perfectly at the base/pharmacy!
ou are not alone, my friend! Same for me.....blurred last couple of weeks! Still being pretty blurry this week, too!
Sorry that you are feeling the same as me, but I am happy that I have company inside the whirlwind.
:lalala: *skipping over your jingle post*

ugh about the car, again and again and...
I am behind on Event stuff too. It's why I don't sign up to host/be Buddy. I know how kooky I am this time of year.
You got it though and I'm sure all of the Cheery Os are ready to help out!

Any news/updates on DD's interview? We are all hoping for the best!
Good morning, and oh my goodness!!! I thought I told you all!! Belle got the job!! She will be a preschool teacher for 2 year olds, at the school side of the church where I work and worship! She will start in January. Most of her stuff is here, she'll be here for Christmas, then has to go back and work two days at her current job so she can collect her earned Holiday pay. After that, she'll be here. I'm excited that she'll be here with us. We got the tree up last night, will add decorations through the week, and that will probably be it. Work is going excellently, but I just don't have much in me at the end of the day. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you all the exciting new. She heard last Monday! Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts! I'm running out the door, so it's belly button today!

WONDERFUL news!!!! I am so happy for you both!! :hug1:

PS: Quite possible you told us and I forgot it immediately after reading .

Brrrrr!!! It is 22*F outside but feels like 4*F!! :brrr: :cold::brrr: No snow but it definitely feels like winter outside. So glad I got the base trip done yesterday. Think this should be a PJ day! I might finish reading "The Mirror" by Nora Roberts... over halfway done. I bought some Pumpkin Spice hot drink packets so will switch over to that while I am reading. :D The throat is a little scratchy so hot drinks should help. I also have some packets of Hot Apple Cider which is a favorite when it is cold. Decided to not go to the Brown Bag lunch with the gals today... due to the scratchy throat. No point in exposing others to whatever caused it.

I forgot to mention that I found a different/new frozen pizza at the commissary... do you remember the "Hawaiian" ones that used to be popular??? Found one with pineapple/Canadian bacon on a rising crust!!! On, WOW... fixed it for supper and it was almost as good as the take-out ones I used to get! Oh, yeah... those are going on my BUY LIST.

Got my Day 10 - Border Challenge LO uploaded to the gallery (I am hosting it). I am loving the LOs that are already posted there. Hard to believe that it is only 2 more days of 12 Days of Christmas challenge/games. Of course, the challenges are open until the end of the month but the games close on Dec 13. The days are flying by. Got to run and do a bit of commenting on challenge LOs. BBL

Morning ladies... it will be a quick post from me again today as I am headed out the door to pick up a few things. Still searching for some illusive Christmas stocking stuffers and I am starting to panic about it!! Tomorrow is hiking day and our hike group, Christmas luncheon. DH is taking his flex day off to join us on the easy hike and then a fun get together with lunch afterward. I finally got my ugly Christmas Sweater finished and I will have to post a photo for you when I put it on. I better get outta here, sure wish I had more time for the 12 days of Christmas, it is such a busy time for everyone and I have lots to get done. Three more Christmas get togethers over the next week and a half, but it will be the final ones with DH retiring. I hope you all have a wonderful day and if I get time later on I will pop in to catch up with all of you! :waving3:

Good Morning!!!!

(Can you tell I am feeling a little less Lyme-y?)
I'm gonna start with sorry. I read this and my mind went :giggle4:
Blimey Chris isn't as Lymey
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I crack myself up!!!!! Sorry guys, I need more coffee. The day is only 20minutes old and yeah it started with bad jokes.
LOL!
You can do it!!!! If I can, you can. I had to come up with a gift for friend who's like family and I couldn't think of a thing. So I thought oooohhhhh scrapbook. He loved the idea. I told him to get photos and stories together and I would make it after Christmas. There was no way to rush it, two days is all we would have had to get it printed and shipped in time. So he knows what's coming but we wont have actual book to open. A beautiful page is an awesome idea if you cant finish it without rushing. Or print the cover so they can see that.
:cuffed: Thanks. I think.
You need someone to do that to you since you probably overworked yourself getting the house cleaned yesterday. :p
I was so good yesterday!!!! I only did the laundry and one set of dishes. I started the laundry, scrapped, swapped laundry ate lunch, read my book, swapped dishwasher and then scrapped. Laundry, scrapped, made the bed, scrapped, and then had hubs make half of dinner and I did the other half. I did good!!! And I feel good. Its not often but I am learning to sit.

I cant wait to check this out!! Its crazy to think its almost over. The daily downloads and daily fun has been so fun. Will be strange not to go check it all out first thing in the morning.

@taxed4ever Cant wait to see your sweater. I bet you look adorable. Have fun today and good luck finding the items youre looking for!

Today is another day of staying home. I might vacuum since I didn't yesterday. I might make that cheesecake I didn't yesterday. I might just sit here and wait for new LO to look at :giggle4: I have packages that need picking up but guess what! I told hubs he needed to get them as I wasn't leaving the house! TWO DAYS in a row I haven't had to leave!!! WOO HOOO

Okay, more coffee needed. HAGD

Good morning ladies. Created two bracelets last night. Tonight I'll work on a few small bead bracelets, getting the wire stringing done and then tomorrow morning I will attach the findings to finish them off (isn't that a weird name to call the things that attach/connect jump rings, clasps, etc?).

I am jumping in the shower in a moment, then will walk Remi before heading over for a dental cleaning. Then I'll come home, pick up Darrell and go play cards for the afternoon. After dinner I'll watch tv while making jewelry.

I'm very busy until the end of this wkend so won't be around too much but will pop in here and there.

@faerywings Glad you are feeling somewhat better. I know you enjoy your fieldtrips/classes but I'm sure you'll enjoy the break and you can enjoy finding things to teach in the new year.

@taxed4ever Darrell has been a couch potato since moving here but lately he has been getting off the lazyboy and doing small projects (aside from me getting him out for games/socializing). I hope your G doesn't take so long to find his groove once he retires.

@AK_Tracy Two days of a more relaxed schedule...good for you!

I have to get going, I need to shower and get dressed in 15 min. HAGD everyone.

I've been reading everyone events. Full speed ahead for Christmas.

My short news After my ambulance trip to hospital with xrays showing no breaks or brain bleed. I went to my ortho 5 days later and they found my shoulder dislocated so that is why I was in so much pain. They put me out and put it back in place , I still have pain but less. I start PT to thursday. So no christmas decorations here. Good thing I done mailing to CT so it's ok. Friends down here will make it a fun friends Christmas.

I want you all to know I have been following along but cannot type easily.

It is so weird to me how I can remember things from 30 years ago.....like the TV jingles.....yet I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.....or if I actually ate lunch!

I meant to ask if you were planning to sell your creations or if you are making them as gifts for now.

I've been reading everyone events. Full speed ahead for Christmas.

My short news After my ambulance trip to hospital with xrays showing no breaks or brain bleed. OUCH! I'm glad the ortho found out why you were still in pain! PT!.......we olders could make that our occupation! ;)

Good afternoon,
Got back to the house at 3 after leaving at 9 to go to the widows' meeting. Everyone said they enjoyed the devotion about the widow, Anna, from Luke 2:36-38. Our song was "Joy to the World" with a bit of bg information on Isaac Watts who wrote the song.

Haven't really been home to do anything but feed Asher and catch up on reading this thread.
I still have not gotten any more Event challenges done! Tonight I "intend" to work on that! And tomorrow is going to be a pj day, along with cooking for our dinner at church and more scrapping, hopefully!

Time to get started! No word on the car yet.....
Have a great evening!
