Good morning! Happy Tuesday to you all.
I need to make this quick again. I have a long day ahead but at least the second half will be fun.

The Drs appt for me went well. She is seeing no clinical evidence of Lyme and co-infections.:whoo: The Rheumatoid Factor is still elevated where it has been for a few years and is most likely just a lasting effect of the chronic inflammation. Gary OTOH is still a medical mess. He is developing many neuropathies, peripheral and autonomic, and she isn't able to determine which ones are Lyme and which ones are diabetic since both conditions cause them. She wants him to go to a neurologist but I am not sure if he actually will.
He also has every symptom of gastroparesis (where the stomach becomes semi-paralyzed and can't digest food properly) and he wants to try a diet for that. OMG-- I didn't react very positively to that when he told me. Not because I didn't want him to give it a try but b/c my brain flipped out when I thought about trying to incorporate more dietary restrictions into the meal planning and prep. :faint2:
It is very restrictive- low-fiber, no fats, most fruits and veggies are out if they have seeds and skin. But if it helps...

Today I am going to go food shopping, then I am off to go to BFF's to swim! I have to dig out my bathing suit. And wear it- ugh!

xoxo!

Nancy- how nice to have a quiet day-no males in your house at all. No, wait, your cat is male, isn't he?

Felis- sorry to hear that you have been busy and not feeling chatty. what is wrong with your cat?

I do have a cute story that will make you smile. I had planned on some grilled chicken breast for dinner and grilled veggies for me. We haven't used the grill in forever. when Gary opened the grill (thank goodness he did that before he turned it on!) there was a little chipmunk nest and a chipmunk in it. He took a video of him to send to Caitlyn. I ended up having to cook everything inside so the little guy wasn't disturbed just yet. ;)

good morning - I actually got my errands done. I prepared spaghetti with sauce from a jar (Paul Newman's) and it was really good as we had not had that in ages. My DH added the smoked salmon and he and my son both loved it that way. Who knew! LOL Luther is still tired from doggie day care. He came home and dragged me to the TV room where I turned on the AC and he crashed. Too funny. I went to my swimming wellness and I am sore today. But a good sore. Glad to be back. Today is pretty low key. I am in the middle of season 3 of Stranger Things. I really is good. I believed people when they suggested this show but just never found time. I should finish it today. Also watching baseball and the Mets and Yankees are winning. Still scrapping my trip but almost done. Then comes the hard part for me going back and carefully reading what I wrote and checking the spelling.

Chris yes the second half of your day sounds awesome. Have fun with BFF. So sorry about the news about Gary and his health. Can your grocery shopping and cooking be more complicated? But if it helps that is a good thing. Congrats on your health continuing to improve! Cute story about the chipmunk! Glad Gary checked first.

Felis your talk with the Witness was very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for looking at my pages. And yes I just could not pare down the photos any more than I did. Hope you feel more chatting soon!

Waving to all! Have a great day all!

Morning, gals. Woke up at 5 AM to thunder and lightening. It has been raining for awhile as there is water running down the streets. It isn't a heavy rain... but has been steady since I got up.

DD#1 and the great-grands came over yesterday morning. Haven't had a visit with her in a couple of weeks so was great to have time together. She brought over her latest embroidery project. It is "Footsteps"... [about Jesus carrying us during the hard times]. She made it for her sister-in-law who is dying of cancer. Lots going on in the family with many changes coming up suddenly. The great-grands start school next week. I remember when that didn't happen to after Labor Day... but now they go until mid-June then back in mid-August! No 3 month summer breaks any more.

I am having troubles with my printer... tried their troubleshooting by cleaning the heads, etc. Not sure if I got a bad cartridge as it will work for a couple of pages then start leaving stripes on the pages. Grrr.... the printer is only a year old so shouldn't be the problem. <<< sigh >>> Debating about replacing it while the back-to-school sales are on. I can up-grade to a mid-range printer that is 50% off this week.

Chris, so glad you got a good report from the Dr.... too bad that Gary's report wasn't so good. Hoping that the new diet will work for him and won't be too stressful on you to prepare for him. <<< hugs >>>

Nancy, I hope your quiet day went fine.

Well, I need to look at the new challenges and figure out which one to work on next. Have a great day.

One just an ordinary day. Except that the car gets broken. And it was something serious because dad had needs from professional helps from my cousin, and usually dad can fix almost everything. They worked till late at night, and today we all feels tired. I played the role of host and stayed around ready to answer and offering drinks or some rag, and other small things, that it's better to bring them at the garage, instead to left their dirty hands to have come and touch inside.

Oh, Chris, this is really cute story! Such a luck that Gary checked on time! The chipmunks are such a sweetie! This is the privilege to live near to forest! I'm jealous! We even don't saw your hedgehog this year  . It's makes me smile, indeed! Thank you for share it! My cat has negative reaction after vaccination. It's happens far too often past few years. Cats are very sensitive to chemicals and street cats are weak. It wasn't easy time.
Congrats for the good news from the doctor! I'm sorry about the Gary's results and hope soon he to be able to boast better results! Please excuse me for this tactless question, but how it's happened that the whole family got sick? I hope this question to not hurt you! Excuse my curiosity! But what they told us here is that Lyme happens after bite from infected tick and gone after two course of antibiotics. I can't figure out how whole family can be affected and why something so serious here is so neglected? Of course if this topic disturb you, please excuse my ignorance and just pass this question!

Nancy, Luther is so funny! But yes this heat is unpleasant for anybody. How nice that he likes AC, he's an urban boy :) . I'm still not watched Stranger Things, but it's on my list too! I hear lots recommends, even from my favorite actress Gemma Chan, who was use it for inspiration on Halloween. On the top of my list is also The A word. But these days I'm lazy and have kind of hope that they will be dubbing, so to not takes me so much concentration.

Kay, hope to be able to find good deal for printer! Hope you'll have the weather which allows you to enjoy! Oh, the embroidery project of your daughter sounds wonderful. It's so difficult and time consuming to embroidery, but the results are so beautiful! (My mom was made one small St Mary in blue dress). So sorry to hear about your friend with cancer!
