Holy macaroni, it is TOO COLD!!!! My hands are numb. All of the windows are closed and it is only 65* in the house. I hope the kids are packing enough blankets for camping.
They have everything spread out in the house but I think that for the most part, everything is ready to go. It is going to be too quiet here without them. The house just "feels" quiet, I don't like it. What in the world am I going to do when they move out? I keep going back to the week I got married. I got married on a Sunday and left for my honeymoon on a Tuesday, which was the same day my brother closed on his condo. I don't have a clue how hard that must have been for my parents.
*shoves this concern to a remote corner of my brain and closes the door* I don't have to worry about that just yet.
I spent a long time in the backyard ripping out all of the weeds that were making it a mess. I got to see so many of those little toads this time. I always worry I am going to step on them. I also brought some of my houseplants outside, gave them all a good rinse and some extra soil. I will leave them out for a day or so to get some extra sunlight since the house isn't very sunny. The garden is starting to really produce the tomatoes and I made tomato and mozzarella pasta last night for dinner.
Today, I am going to have to stay out of the way until the kids are ready to say goodbye. They stress out while packing so the last thing they need is Mom looking over their shoulders.
Have fun today!
