Daily Ooo's: Tuesday, August 27

I am so excited! I am getting my hair cut and colored today. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I think I am going to get inches cut off. My hair is now well past my shoulder blades but I am getting tired of it. At the same time, I am freaked out by shorter hair. Not that I am going to go "short," only short-er. But still. As long as I can pull it into a ponytail while I am cleaning and gardening. Breathing and sleeping.

Yesterday was one of those days that felt like 500 rolled into one. I did a ton of errands in the morning. I did housework both before and after the errands. Then I went outside on the patio and messed around with the tomato plants. They hadn't been tied up in a while and they were all falling over onto each other. We have so many green tomatoes. Only one has turned red so far. I went with Caitlyn to the vet with Silly Dilly. The vet definitely felt that the abscess is bigger again. If it doesn't get smaller by the end of the week, she will need a different abx and we go back again next week. He hasn't been charging Caitlyn for any of these visits which is a really amazing thing. It is just a lot of driving- he is about 30 minutes from my house. I don't mind going when I can, keep Cait company as well as moral support.

So today is the big day for my hair. Wish me luck!

Nancy- sending you and your DS love and support. I am sorry that your nice day didn't end so nice. I can only imagine how easy it would be to miss a few pages of your Alaska album, considering how many pages that you scrapped for it!
It looks cloudy and rainy for today and tomorrow, hopefully, the sun and heat will be back for the long weekend.


Felis- Caitlyn loves this time of year with the spooky stuff and the pumpkin and spicy candles. Neither of us likes the cooler weather, but what can you do? Guess it is a trade-off. He birthday is Sept 21 and she *always* wants a Halloween themed party. My brain is resisting the idea of the end of year stuff too. Sorry that the water bill got screwed up.

There was suppose to be a cold/cool front coming in last night to cool things down... Didn't happen. In fact it was warmer than it has been. It has been running about 10-12 degrees warmer than normal. So tired of the mid-to-high 90's. More than ready for some cooler fall temps!!

Had a nice long phone visit with my cousin yesterday. She just moved back to her home in FL from her Daughter's after several months. She loves being back in 'her own place'. Would love to visit with her there but the heat/humidity wouldn't be good for me. She is 'my other sister' as we spent all our summers together when growing up.

Have several chores that must be done today... plus need to go to the grocery store. So will be busy most of the day.

Chris, so glad you are getting some of the fall temps up your way. LOL over your 'short-er' hair cut. You are like my DD#1... her hair reaches between her shoulder blades and waist. Her haircut is to take off maybe 1" to get the split ends off.

Nancy, sorry to hear about your son... hope things work out for him soon. Good luck on getting those page printed out.

good morning - yesterday was just being moral support for my DS and he went in to work today. I am not sure what he is going to do after work but he knows we are here if needed. It is just that it breaks your heart when things are going bad and a hug is not enough! Swimming went well. Really not much else going on. My DH is home as I think he is trying to catch up on sleep. Luther and he went on a walk but not until both of my sons had gone to work.

Chris glad you got your errands done and some cleaning too. Hope that Dil gets better! And it sounds like your vet is awesome for not charging. It is fun to be with our kids.

Felis we should be getting warmer as our last summer weekend (Labor Day holiday) is this last weekend in Aug. I love autumn but I really like all the seasons. I just like how in the summer you don't have to wear coats or gloves or hats as I tend to lose them over the course of the winter. So with my album since it is single pages in page protectors in a D-ring album so I just left blank space until I printed my pages and then just stuck them in and now it is done. I will have to upload the final two pages so I can print them out for my sister. Enjoy the sound of the kids! thanks for the photo!

Good morning dears,
Such an awful day yesterday! I had to say one of the hardest NO in my life. It was a time for report so we had to show up at the office. And one colleague tries to use me to take part of the responsibility for her mistake, as this could to ease the situation. I'm do this few times before and it's never ends good for me. My fail was only that I wasn't firmness enough with her in past and people mistake my kindness with weakness. She was hoping that I can repair what she is once mistaken, but it was damaged and honestly I don't have nerves to do this right now. I'm not really sure what I would say if she was come to ask me, if was ask for advice and help instead just to come and told me to do it, as I'm always obliged to fix the things. However the situation got really nasty. I feels awful as everybody likes to be a hero, but the story needs a bad guy too.


Chris, I wait to see the pics with your new hairstyle! :cosmo Hooray for your satisfactory day and the good job done! I hope new meds to gives the result that Dilly needs! How nice of your vet side to not charging you on every visit! Your moral support at these stressful situation is so need and highly appreciated, I'm sure! So did you start to plan Cait's birthday party already?! Oh, and did the puzzle was for this and was you able to find some?

Nancy, hug is not enough sometimes, but it always help to know you're not alone! Hope the situation is not too serious!
Haha, I know what you mean about losing accessories at winter time, I'm like that with the umbrellas. Oh, D-ring album of course, this make sense. Thanks for explaining! So your DH is home whole week for the Labor Day holiday? Luther would be one happy boy! :high5:
