I am not getting off to a good start this morning. Scott left me another form to fill out from Financial Aid. So at 6 am, barely caffeinated, I am trying to go through more banking information. I don't know what more they want from me and don't want to screw up his info. And I don't want to screw up Caitlyn's info either. So now my brain hurts, I already had 2 big mugs of coffee and that isn't doing a darned thing.

We ended up getting about 6" of snow yesterday. Thankfully, the sun has melted it from the street and driveway although the grass is still covered. That should be gone today or tomorrow. Just in time for more snow showers later this week. Really.

Cait has the meeting with the prosecutor all set for next Tuesday. We were able to get it in the town my mom lives in so we meet her afterward if she is around. I am not allowed to be at the meeting itself but I will bring a book and kill some time that way.

Today, I am food shopping and then will try to relax or something. Or something. I need a vacation. hehe

Much love to all of you today!

Nancy- a lot of the schools around here are on break but not my town, their's is next week. But they ended up closing so they will be going until August at this point. JK but I bet it feels that way.
How nice for the family to have a house on LBI!!!! *jealous* Not even pretending. Totally jealous LOL
Yay for the Devils!!!

Rae- so smart of you to recognize and implement some exercise and self-care. I would hate to see you give up scrapping but your health is important for the long term.
I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to see and hear B say thanks that are mean, even when you know it isn't her. When Gary was really sick, my kids were little, in 1st and 3rd grade when it began. Once we knew that it was Lyme, I was able to differentiate Real-Dad vs Lyme-Dad. We would go over things that he said to them and point out which "dad" did and said what. But it really leaves a mark, even if it isn't visible.

Trudy- awww!! How fabulous it must be to see Mason and Hunter interacting.
Mulch is a much nicer thing to shovel than snow. Bet your yard is coming along nicely. My crocuses got buried.
Love your advice and support for Rae

Felis- Spring has made your moods worse? OMG-- I am so sorry! I would gladly trade with you. As you have heard me say before, I miss the old me and the life I thought that we would have too. But recognize that you are stronger-- even when you don't feel that way.:hang in:

hugs!

good morning - well I only have 2 more home games for my NJ Devils tonight and Thursday. I need my team to win tonight against the NY Rangers and for Nashville to defeat the Florida Panthers. This is an exciting time as the team tries to go to the play offs. Yesterday we got Luther to the vet and sure enough an ear infection. But she said we got it early so that is good. Poor boy. Between allergies and ears feel so sorry but he never seems out of sorts so that is good. My DH had him out from 6-8 am this morning. Today my DH is staying home to get the stuff ready for the accountant for him to do our taxes. Yes we wait this long as we pay in the end. I don't think any one wants my id as I pay taxes and never get a refund. LOL. The snow came in heavy and we ended up with about 5-6 inches. My DH shoveled so that was sweet and the sun melted the rest. It would have been so much snow but the storm moved and left really fast. The sun came out and it was off the trees by afternoon. My son said his commute in was slippery. He is in charge for a while as his boss lost his dad unexpectedly this past weekend and he seems to be doing the job so I am proud. Made an interesting dinner - pork burgers. The burgers were mixed with ginger and black bean sauce. Then made a black bean sauce and mayo to spread on the bun. Then topped with marinated radishes. Who thinks of these combos. My son thought it was one of the best. I loved it too. Today is errands. But hockey to look forward to.

Chris I heard no more snow but lots of rain. Yuck. It was amazing driving yesterday as the forsythias are in bloom and covered in snow. And the red buds with snow to see that pink and yellow shining through the snow. Just beautiful. And did not hurt anything. Yea! That is interesting as to when schools have their vacations. Hope you can take some me time in between all the forms for the kids.

Trudy how fun to talk to Mason too on FaceTime as he had the day off. Again I am counting on your Bruins to help my team. And as much as I need them to defeat the Panthers I saw that Marchand was fined again. But it looks like Marcus Johansson has been cleared for practice and is off injured reserve, finally. Have fun with the mulch and enjoy spring.

Rae so glad to hear you are taking some me time. And yes you need to do the exercises. After all the work you have done to lose the weight you need to keep that up. Sorry though that you have to hear such mean words. It is not easy even when you know it is not really her speaking.

Felis have fun in the garden. Sorry that spring is making you feel worse. Maybe your gardening time will make it all better.

Jean waving hi! Hope you got your baseball in as both the Yankees an the Mets were snowed out. Today they are probably going to have delays due to rain. Why you would have games up north in April ???

have a great day all!

Morning O-zies!! I slept in a bit today and it was nice to wake up and not be in the dark LOL. Today it feels like it should be Monday as DH was home yesterday and we worked most of the day in the yard. It was chilly, but the sun was shining and the it was good to be in the fresh air. I have a bit of a sore back today from the shovelling and bending over in the garden. A quiet day for me today, with just a bit of housework and a parcel to mail out to Heather. I haven't decided if I will go swimming today, I will have to think about it as I really would like to just spend the day scrapping and catching up on things here at the O.

Chris - OMG when is the snow ever going to stop falling in your area!! Come on already, it is SPRING isn't it?? When we were up to the In-Laws on Sunday, it got very cold and rainy and then it turned to snow, we were all shocked to see the white stuff again. It did not stick to anything, but still sheesh!! NO MORE SNOW!! Sorry that you have yet more forms to fill out for Scott and Caitlyn, wonder why they are not accepting what you have already done?? Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well for Cait and her meeting next Tuesday! Hopefully you will get in a nice visit with your Mother then also!

Nancy - You are right, who thinks of these amazing meals that you are preparing? I would never have thought to put those ingredients together. Glad to hear that your son is doing so well with his job! You must be very proud of him! Awww poor Luther with another ear infection, sounds like he is getting his exercise though with your DH having him out for 2 hours already! Hope that our Bruins will do good for you, funny DH did not say anything to me about Marchand being fined again. He really is the player that everyone loves to hate isn't he! We love what a great player he is, but he really does get himself into trouble doesn't he! Glad to hear that your snow is not sticking around and hopefully it will not snow anymore this week for you!

Felis - I am sorry that you are feeling bad effects from the changes in the weather! I too somedays have wishes that I could go back in time and things could be the way they used to be. But sometimes life throws things our way and we have no control over it! Try to be thankful for what you do have and concentrate on that. I hope that you will feel better very soon and that you can enjoy getting your garden work accomplished!

Jean - I hope that you are having busy and pleasant days and that you are enjoying spring like weather where you are!

:hello: Rae, you are constantly on mind these days! I am sending you lot of hugs and good wishes!

Ok I better get going with my day, lots to do here at the O today also. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I had a hot shower to loosen my muscles after weight lifting yesterday and then later will do some core exercises and stretching. I didn't do them this morning b/c I popped out to the Langley VV which is one of the bigger stores and always have a great selection. I came home with two grocery bags full of hoodies, capris, tees and yoga pants. I'm enjoying the exercising. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started doing it again. It feels good to have sore muscles, knowing I worked my body in a good way. I'm going to have to get heavier weights soon as I can tell the 7 lbs should now be 10 & 12 lbs, now that my muscle memory has kicked in and I can handle more weight now. I am going to buy a set of barbells to vary my routine so will be checking craigs list for a used set, hopefully I'll find some over the next couple of months. Today I'm putting chicken, tomatoes, spices and veggies into the crockpot for dinner when we get home from the hospital tonight. So far my day has been well organized and I am on top of everything.

Chris - glad the snow is melting quickly. Hope the forms get all filled out. I hate doing that kind of thing too and always procrastinate as much as I possibly can. Hope today is a peaceful calm one for you.

Nancy - poor Luther, another ear infection. Good that you caught it early. I know I saw it a lot, but....you sure do make some interesting meals! Hope your family knows how lucky they are :)

Trudy - thanks for your kind words and thoughts. I do try to remind myself that things hopefully will improve over the coming months. We too need to get out into the yard and clean up but I'll wait another wkend or two.

Felis - its ok to complain....that's what so great about our daily chats, we can share the good and the bad with each other. I love spring with the arrival of budding flowers and greenery but absolutely hate the amount of rain we get. I think we'll both be happy when summer comes :)

Jean...hope all is well.

I'm getting another coffee and then getting back to work. I want to finish up before we head out to the hospital this afternoon and then can come home tonight for a late dinner and relax in front of the TV for a few hours. Hope you all have a great day.

I have to check back and see how often I has these pessimistic episodes. The irony is that I have exactly the life I wanted, just not expected to be so painful. I feels like my actions don't make impact to the world. And I'm so tired. Nevermind! All will be fine soon!
I'm so angry today!!! Without to ask me my father is removed the whole hedge. It was planted by my grandma and I really loved this green wall! It was precious memory for me and I try to replant it few times. He told me he will cut only the part, because have to check the quality of the net under it and when I go home today, he shows me the whole hedge miss. WHAT?! I'm pretty sure we talk about that and I warned them that I want to keep it!!! We created a plan how to take it off, so to can put it back after that. But no, no one listen me. They repairer and remove, replaced memories and sentiment signs as like the past is never exist! I'm so so disappointed! I really don't get it, why we discuss everything more than seven times, if in the end everyone makes what he want. Of course mom told she don't care, no matter that this plant was on her mother. She just prefer to not take a side. I'm so tired! And it's just a beginning of the Spring. I mean it's not just a plant! It's not like to remove something that you are plant previous year, it was memory.
Thank you for the kind comments and the understanding, girls!

Rae, you are so kind! I think I'll be happier when autumn comes and whole outdoor and fostering tasks are over. But I strongly hope that summer will bring to you happy events! I see that the things happens slower than you want, but be patient! Trudy was said it so good yesterday about the brain and it's mysteries. So good that you makes exercises! I was stop my yoga previous month (with no reason), but started it again this month.

Trudy, good that you are had quiet day out! Sounds like you're enjoy on it. Hope you can go to swim, especially if you are not to tired from gardening.

Nancy, congrats for the excellent presenting of your son at the work! Bad that this sad occasion is being reason, but next time will be for longer. Important is that he has received recognition!

Chris, good that the meeting of Caitlin is in your mom's town, so she will have double support! Hope you are resolved all these banking information! Sound so complicated, I'm wondering how illiterate and ethnic group in your area do it?

OK, now I'm really worried for Jean! Where have you gone, girl?

Good night, my dears! I hope to can wake up in better mood and can scrap finally!
