Happy Tuesday, my O-Fam!
I just adore this weather. I mean, right now, I am frozen but it is going to get to 60* again today. We had temps of 65* yesterday and had the windows open for fresh air. And I got to spend another hour in the yard uncovering some ferns and lilies of the valley. :D

Gary took the lights down for me so I didn't have to climb up and down the ladder. All I have to do is put them in the attic.
Caitlyn was in a better mood and we hugged it out and are ok too. Her wackiness of the day: She is working on a research project for school that "Busts Myths" on vegetarianism. It is a PowerPoint presentation so she is working on photos and images for the slides. She asked me to take pictures of her in her "natural habitat." As in- sitting outside, taking a pretend bite from a head of cabbage. I did that and they are funny. Then she sticks the head of cabbage under her shirt and has me take a series of photos of her in the typical pregnancy and post-birth poses. So she is gazing down on a cabbage-bump, then holding the cabbage up looking dazed, and then sitting down, looking lovingly at her baby-cabbage.
That girl is BONKERS!!

The not-so-good part of the day was trying to give Floyd his fluids. He was having none of it yesterday and as Gary was holding him, he peed all over his legs (Floyd peed on Gary, for clarification ;) Then he bolted from us and got no fluids at all. We have to try again today and will wrap him burrito-style. I hope that he will let us do that.
Felis or anyone-- if you have any helpful advice, I would love to hear it. He has to get the fluids and god knows, I can't afford to bring him to the vet to have it done.

Off to food shop today. I had weird dreams about Shop Rite last night and how it is under construction. How sad that this is what is in my subconscious mind. heh!!!

Enjoy the day, sweethearts!

Nancy- I hope that you and Luther had a great day outside. My dogs were whining to be out all morning and Gary kept bringing them out and then they wanted back in and then out again. PITBs  Although I think W would have been very happy chewing on sticks all day long even if that meant sneaking them inside.
I hope that DH's finals go easy for him and his students.

Jean- I wish we knew which library Quilliam was in beforehand, it would have made the break-in much easier for us :spy: :pound:
How was your birding adventure?
My LLMD can tell if I was re-infected based on my titer levels in my blood work, what infections that I have that was new, and my symptoms. She thinks that a lot of the nerve and neurological issues that I had last summer (all of those MRIs! ) were "new" to me so not a flare but new infections. It is complicated. For sure...
This time of year is actually the worst because the nymphs are so tiny-- less than a poppy seed, so how can you see them? I shower and scrub my skin as best as I can right after being outside but obviously not successfully enough. Hmmph. There is also a theory that once you have a Lyme infection, the blood changes (due to antibodies perhaps?) and that also attracts ticks. I wish the CDC would spend as much money researching Lyme and other Tick-Borne Infections as they do for West Nile.

Cait sent me a bunch of pics of the rats at the lake so I will scrap them at some point. If I ever get my scrap mojo back, that is. :(

Trudy- How did DH's Dr appt go? I hope that he doesn't need surgery. For some reason, I don't think he would be the easiest patient. *winks*
Heather and Jonah must have had a blast going out on a date. They need that. Stinks that everything has to be so expensive though.
You and your Gary sure were busy in the yard (this is why I think he would be a difficult post-op patient ha!!) and I hope that you didn't get sore from it all.

My turn to get in the shower so I better go.

Have a fab day!!!!

Chris, burrito is the best, but I'm not sure how staible will be, because his till his neck is opened. Ffirst try to calm down him and distract with food and toy.
If nothing help check here the cat restraint methods. This one is worked for me,

but if he is decided to not allow you maybe you'll need fixing with leash which should not make without vet nurse or tech.
Good luck and come back to say what is happen!

good morning and to Rae and Trudy I cant believe that terror has come to Toronto. I am so sorry for this horrible event. and it is gorgeous again but puffy clouds are showing up and rain is on the way for the next two days. It was mid 60s yesterday and lovely. Made an oregano chicken last night. Too much oregano I think but still it was good. Watched hockey and cheered for Boston but I think the Maple Leafs felt they needed to win for their city. I cant argue with that. Took Luther on a walk and OMgosh everything really is in bloom. Today is the first no hockey day of the playoff season and it sucks. My team is clearing out their lockers today so that is really sad but it was a fun season. I am also in the middle of the Jane Hawk series by Dean Koontz - what a scary set of books. I so hope this is all imaginary. But love the fact the main character is a woman!

Chris your photo shoot with Cait sounds so fun! I loved having fun with power point but now with photoshop but I realize that power point is more for lectures but the creativity with photoshop. I am sorry about Floyd. I can imagine on somedays he just does not feel like being held. Hope today goes better.

Trudy so sorry about the Bruins. They will win game 7. How fun for Heather to have a date night. I hear that he puts on a great show. Of course they charge a lot for drinks and parking - it is sad. Great job on the yard cleaning.

Jean it is nice to have some warm weather to look for birds. Hope you see a lot. I am cheering for Bruins and Golden Knights. Of the 4 teams left in the West none of have won a Stanley Cup so any of those teams would be awesome.

Rae sending hugs! Saw the photo of Taz on Facebook and he is a cutie!

Felis those are good options for Chris hope she find the burrito to be the easiest method.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... A very sad morning for Toronto and all of Canada yesterday! Although so far they do not think that it was a terriorist act what kind of a Maniac mows down all those people with a van on purpose?? What a sad state of affairs the world is in!

Yesterday was so beautiful and warm and the whole afternoon was spent outside. I cleaned up the yard of a million pinecones and broken branches, while DH power washed the back deck of all the green goo and pollen. It looks brand new again! Then DH cut the lawn and I cut back a few of the low lying cedar bushes that were starting to cover up my azalea bushes. The Azalea are just about ready to bloom, so it should be much more colourful soon in our yard. Another lovely morning this morning and it looks like it might actually be a great day for our hike this week also. I am off to the pool this morning and then getting my hair cut and coloured in the afternoon. It will feel good to have that done!

Chris - OMG you are so right! My DH will make a terrible patient!! Sadly the Dr. did say that he will require two knee replacements but wants him to wait for a while yet before doing it. It will be a last resort and wants him to try to tolerate the pain as long as possible before the surgery. I guess that knee replacements don't last forever either so he thinks DH is too young yet to have it done. My poor Gary he is not a happy guy about the news!

Then to top off that his Bruins did not win their game last night, it was the sour topping on the day. Oh well like Nancy says they should win the next one. We will keep our fingers crossed. Glad to hear that your Gary got the lights down for you, its not fun going up and down those ladders! I bet you had a great time with Cait taking those photos! She is funny and I bet she does great with her power point presentation! Sorry that you hate going grocery shopping, I don't think it is my favourite thing to do either, but everyone at the store knows me and they are all so friendly, it makes the experience more pleasant for sure! Good luck with getting Floyd his fluids that he needs, looks like Felis has good idea for you to keep him a bit more still for you!

Felis - What a helpful link you provided for Chris! I hope that you enjoyed a great day yesterday and got to be out in the sunshine !

Nancy - Thanks for sending the kind words for what has happened in Toronto, so very tragic and hard to believe as we are still trying to get over the deaths of all those hockey players. Thanks for cheering our Bruins on last night also. I think you are right the Leafs wanted this one badly, however I think that the officials helped out with the win, especially during the faceoffs. :tape: DH always says that when a team is finished playing for the season, then its time for them to get their golf clubs out. LOL Nice to hear that your walk with Luther brought you lots of blooms to see! Enjoy your day!

:hello: to Jean and Rae sending you both lots of good wishes and hopes for a day filled with sunshine!

Off to get my swimming bag ready and probably will have a facetime chat with Heather and Hunter before I hit the pool. Have a lovely day everyone!

Hi again,
SO sorry for the happened in Toronto! Mad world!

As for me, like every big love in my life this with the Nature is unrequited too. Now when pollen is everywhere my allergy going really bad. My throat and lungs feels like burn and because I don't want to rush with poisoning myself, so I'm not take any pills yet and I'm in some kind of blurry condition. Hope my immune system will can get over it fast! But for now I have to concentrate on regular tasks inside.

Chris, got that Gary is do that with the lights! I'm happy that you are cleared the situation with Caitlyn and you are fine again! She's so lovely girl, and this presentation sounds great. I hope that someday she wouldn't be disappointed as me, when realize that vegan is just a propaganda. I believe that world needs from idealist which to make it better!
Your anxiety over ticks is totally understable. I was wondering why you don't wear dog collar as a leg bracelet. I saw scouts children to wear similar kind for mosquitoes. I hope today's fluids gone well!

Nancy, I'm happy for the good weather you have! At the day we was wearing dress to, but night is rainy and pretty much like summer storm.

Trudy, oh, to bad for your husband required surgery! But what a lovely story about the basketball stand! I was happy to hear about the date night too, so charm! Yay, finally hike time! I'll keep my fingers crossed rain to not come in your area!

Jean, definitely make a page about the owls puzzle! I want to see it! On Easter my sister made one with girl clown and her black cat, very difficult. Maybe you are saw this puzzle series Misty Circus by Victoria Frances. I hope you had fun on a birding!
