*sings* It's gonna be a good day!
It is a pretty day outside, sunny and it will get warm too. I get to drive to see my BFF. Perfect!

Yesterday was as boring as I predicted. It did make me "happy" to get some of my normal routine done. Folded laundry, food shopped, washed dishes. I was able to get the compression sock over the incision site and wow, they made such a difference. I had very little swelling at the end of the day.

Not much else happening other than what I mentioned up there^ I can't wait to see BFF, and she will be able to see me too- the gas bubble in her eye is gone!
We will be able to share battle scars and stories. hehe!!!

HAGD!!

Trudy- did you have any luck with appliance shopping? And bite your tongue, Girl!! No talk of more things breaking.
Caitlyn texted me yesterday to say that she got a 93 on her Research Methods and Data Analysis exam. She didn't think she was going to do that well. So smart.
Yeah, I am sure you know which Outlander episode that I am talking about. I started to think ok, sure- the worst of it is over. But nope. Not really, not by a long shot. I am going to wait a bit before I put Season Two on Hold. I think Gary needs a Brain Cleanser before we move on.

Jean- How was your meeting yesterday? years ago, we watched the Apollo series by Tom Hanks and it was crazy how many fatalities there were. One day, I would love to see Hidden Figures, bet that is a fascinating take on the space program.

Nancy- how exciting to hear about your son's FIL's reasearch. Congrats on the GSO! I will have to go check out your LO!
Ugh... Now that I can drive, I guess it is time to make my mammo appt too... (do I have to??)
Oh man!! Just read your line about having to reschedule your mammo. Ugh, ugh ugh!!!! Did you find out why you lost power?

Felis- I get lost on the O Store too, so many pretty spring kits! I hope that you can use the April Showers saying. Get some great pics of your lilacs! I haven't seen Automata. I will keep my eyes open for it.

I am off for some b-fast now- hope you all have a wonderful day! xoxo

good morning - the weather is going to be perfect today - no humidity and near 75. I am happy! The power outage was so problems at substations. Only 90 mins so not that bad however the only instrument at the imaging center that did not reboot was the mammogram machine LOL. So I go later today. Went swimming and then came home and watched hockey. The Capitals and Canes will have a game 7 on Wed and Dallas Stars defeated the Predators. So far it is a round of upsets. Three of the 4 conference winners have been defeated. Tonight there are 2 game 7s. A late night for sure. But fun to watch. Also watching the USA under18s play. I like watching the kids because then when you watch the NHL you can see the extra skill the NHL players have.

Chris so glad the ankle is behaving and yes those compression socks do work. Have fun with your bff. Congrats to Cait! That is awesome. Yes I thought Outlander did an amazing job with all the stuff in the prison. I did not like the second season as much as the first and the third. I found all the stuff in Paris boring. But the second half of the second season got much better. And really liked season 3 and 4. And you have to watch hidden figures. It is so much more than a how to get a man to the moon movie.

Trudy hope you found a good wall oven. Go Bruins! Just hope the refs call a good game.

Felis the genealogy studies did not effect my son's FIL at all. They all felt there was something different and are glad to know. Also the stuff they found out was about family members that have passed on so the knowledge does not hurt them. But you are right sometimes this stuff can hurt people. I have not seen that movie Automata so I will have to look for it.

Kay hope you are feeling better. EHD decluttering is not fun but congrats on finding the files.

Jean how was the meeting? glad you got your stuff backed up.

Have a great day all!

Hello girls,
it's cold and gray again :rain:, and weather just like to play on ping pong with us! Absolutely nothing new happens here.
But I read Veer's topic and something comes in my mind. So I have this question for you:
When you are on dog walk did people stop you and talk with you (I mean absolutely strangers who start conversation about dogs and weather) ?
It happens very often to me, but maybe it is because my dog is always dressed, is that happens if you are with big dog too? I have long list of big dog pets, but they are always been yard's guardian and this is first that go on walks, so I don't have base for compare. What I'm thinking about is if you are depressed teenager who feels invisible, to receive so much attention maybe will be encouraging. The other side are people who are scared from dogs and talk rude with you and kids who laughs on you when you clean after your dog, which could work very destructive on the fragile psyche. So what is your opinion about dog walks and adoption on dog as way to be more social?

Chris, have fun whit your BF! Congrats for Caitlyn's excellent results, but they was predictable! I forgot to comment Scott's tick bite, it's awful! Hope to not have complications! In this weather is tick's kingdom. I have to treat my yard soon, but can't till it is still rainy. And just in Saturday, I was play barefoot at the grass. I'm never barefoot, even take shower with thongs, because of my microbes phobia, but I try to control it, and when the grass is more clean than after so many rains? I read this article :humble: and wanted to be more spontaneous. But now it looks kind of irresponsible. I miss the time of my childhood when we was able to be free without fears!

Nancy, have fun with the hockey! The mammogram is only routine, right?
'Automata' is for robots, but this is on first look, actually it is about the destructive nature of the human and have very touching moments. The big guy who shot to all AI is our very famous actor, I know this is only one character, but I'm so mad to him, that when I watched him in theater in totally different role, he still disgust me, silly me! But the movie is american, just have few of our stars play in.

Wave to the other girls, my post was last yesterday so all personals are there.

Morning ladies... DH is back at work and the house is blissfully quiet! :bliss: LOL really he was pretty good for having so many days off and stayed out of my hair for the most part. He is bad for always wanting more coffee than I can drink in a day though and it seemed like I was continually making another pot. :mmph: I think he is glad to be back at work though. We had an expensive day yesterday and picked out our new Wall Oven, nice new stainless steel Maytag one. Now all my appliances match with stainless steel. It won't be delivered for another week so I will have to use my toaster oven in the meantime. Had a lovely visit from SIL Sharon and her man Scott. Scott helped DH get the old oven out and down to the garage. We borrowed FIL's dolly so that made it much easier! Sharon loved my triptych paintings so much she decided to purchase them, so yay!! My first sale since starting these fluid paintings. So I had to take those ones off of my Etsy Store.

Chris - Tell Caitlyn how very proud of her I am!! That is an awesome grade on her exam!!
Had to laugh about Gary needing a break from the Outlander series, it kind of bothered my Gary also. Oh I just got a reminder from my Google Home mini to fill the hummingbird feeder so off I go for a couple of mins. :bolt: back soon!

Ok I am back. This post is taking me a long time to get done. Heather and Hunter called and caught me up on all the happenings over the weekend. We did get in a bit of a facetime call with everyone on Easter Sunday, but it was chaotic there and so did not talk for too long. It sure looked like everyone was having a great time though! Now Heather is busy with laundry and cleaning up a bit. Hunter is very cranky and tired probably from trying to keep up with the older kids. Poor little guy!

Chris - So happy that you are able to get outside now and visit your BFF! Have a wonderful time with her and enjoy your freedom!!

Nancy - GO BRUINS! I'ts do or die tonight and I know that my DH will be anxious for the game tonight. Hopefully they play well and the officiating is not as terrible as it has been! Enjoy your lovely sunny day today! Hope you and Luther get in lots of walks! Good luck with your re-scheduled mamo today too! Not a pleasant thing to have done, but like you say it's necessary!

Felis - Sorry I can't help you with the dog walking question. I think that is mean though if kids laugh at you for picking up your dog poop!! How rude! Would they rather it be left for them to step in instead?? We had rain all day yesterday too, but I am happy to see the sun today although it is very windy and the wind is chilly still. Hope that it warms up for my hike tomorrow! Yes I know that I have to patient with my Etsy Store and I need to get a few more paintings uploaded to it sometime today.

Well I better get my swim bag ready to go and hit the pool this morning. Then I really need to get caught up with things here at the O! I have been a neglectful Cheery'O this month :sorry: I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I highly recommend "Hidden Figures". It is on the top of my movie list. That and the "Imitation Game" with Benedict Cumberbatch. Both are insights to what really happened during those particular times.
The BBC Sherlock Holmes series he did is the best ever of that story.

Have a happy day everyone.

Today would have been our 64th anniversary. DD#1 and DGD came over for coffee this AM and spend some time talking about Bill and giving me loving support. They wanted to take me out to lunch but I wasn't up for that. I plan on spending the rest of the day with my memories. Will be back later on this week.
