Daily Ooo's: Tuesday, April 18

*sighs* I hate Lyme, don't ya know. I am not sure what the heck happened to me yesterday. Every once in a while, I get these intense muscle spasms that run from the back of my neck down my arms. I had two of them on Sunday and the pain spread up to my jaw. I had two more of them again yesterday morning and was just not feeling right, a little dizzy, short of breath.
I started to worry that what if this is some sort of heart event. I mean, I see flashing lights, headaches, weird blood pressure and heart palpitations. Lyme can cause inflammation in the heart and it hard to determine some days what is Normal Lyme, what is Flare Lyme and what could possibly be not Lyme related at all.

Gary and I debated whether or not I should go to the ER but settled on going to my GP for an EKG. Everything came back normal (always does! LOL) but the NP did some blood work and gave me a referral to a cardiologist and for x-rays of my neck. I did make the appt for the cardiologist and today I guess I should make the appt for the x-ray.

One thing that frustrates me about Lyme is that it mimics so many other health issues but when you are tested for them, they are always "normal." Before I was diagnosed, I was having strange pains, heart palpitations, severe fatigue. I had a slew of tests, nuclear stress test, ultrasounds, gobs of blood work. Everything was normal. I didn't even have anemia to explain the exhaustion. It was unbelievably frustrating. But that leads me to the place where I am now, how much is Lyme and how much is something else? Toss in the fact that so many Drs don't believe in Chronic Lyme that every time I explain that I have it, I get lectured or dismissed.

Today, I am going to take it easy. Yesterday, I ended up napping for well over an hour. Gary wants me to do online shopping this week so I might do that. Makes sense even if it costs more.
It is all just one big PITA.

The sun is out but I am not sure if I will get outside or not. Maybe I will just spend some time walking and taking pictures. I love having my camera again! My mom is popping up at some point today to bring some of the leftovers from my brother's. He went on vacation for a few days and sent stuff home with my mom that was going to get thrown out.

Nancy- I like buffets so I can eat as much as I like of my favorite foods and taste new things too. That is neat that everyone got there at the same time. and that you had fun. I knew you would relate to the "boys!" story.

Trudy- I am guessing that by the time you get home next week, you are going to be exhausted! LOL I hope that you have a wonderful time with the kids and Storm.

Rae- what a gorgeous photo of you three! Jen looks so much like you! Bailey too- you have the same smile.
Taz was a crazy dog who pooped himself out? Can't believe that at all.

Sending good healing thoughts for your knee, Sharon. As someone who lives with pain most days, it is so frustrating and exhausting. How is your dog (Luna?? sorry I can't remember) with the heartworm. She goes to the vet soon for her next round of Tx?

Lyta goes back for her 2nd and 3rd injection tomorrow. She stays overnight. Keeping her quiet with contractors in the house is hard.

Good morning, ladies. Back to a full work schedule today, plus one boss decided to do a bunch of backlog so I am swamped with work before even tackling what comes in today. So, I need to be focused and on the ball today to keep up with everything. I won't be on the computer much, at least until later tonight. I also want to work on my challenges too if I get time today.

Chris - so sorry to hear how poorly you are feeling and yes, it's always frustrating to not know exactly what the cause is. I hope today will be a better day. Darrell is going to call his doctor today to see if the CT scan results came in. He's not getting any better and after about 6-8 wks of this, he is getting so frustrated with the pain and tiredness b/c he can't sleep too. Enjoy the leftovers. We had our leftover ham last night, it was so good and there's enough for me to have a ham/cheese omelet for lunch today.

Sharon - Glad the knee is improving. Hugs to Lyta for her shots and overnight stay. I can only imagine how hard it is to keep her still with so much going on around her.

Trudy - enjoy the week with the kids and dog. I'm sure you'll take lots of pics!

Hi ladies... I was in here very early this morning, did a huge post here and when I went to post it...poof it was gone grrrrrrrr!!!! Internet is looney here at my son's so I am saving this post so I won't have to do it again! Not going to say as much as I did this morning. I have been busy getting all the laundry folded and put away, there was a ton of it! DIL leaves very early tomorrow morning, so then I will officially be the head honcho here LOL. Took Storm out for a long walk in between rain storms and it was actually nice and sunny. It is pouring out now! Storm is napping and I am trying to get my photoshop loaded onto DIL's computer , but not having much luck. I am determined to do it though LOL. I have vacuumed and put all the clothes away, made a batch of mini banana/choc chip muffins for the kids lunches and washed the very dirty sliding glass door out to the backyard. Storm uses his nose and paws to let us know when she wants in, so it gets very messy. I am sure this could be cleaned every day!

Chris - I am so sad for you that you are feeling so terrible these days! I hope the visit from your parents will brighten your day and that you are soon feeling better! So frustrating for you when you can't tell if its that darn Lyme rearing its ugly head, or something else ! Heather had to go to the ER yesterday, she had some bleeding, but dr says everything is fine, baby is fine too! Whew!! Guess sometimes as it gets closer to due date the cervix can bleed a bit. So glad she went in to have it checked!! Wish I could have been there for her too!! :sad:

Sharon - Glad to hear that you knee held out for your walk and that you dear pup will be getting some quiet healing time!

Rae - Ugh so busy and not fair that this extra work came without warning! Hope you manage to get it all done! Hope Darrell will find out his results today and that he can get some much needed sleep without pain! Enjoy whatever free time you have today!

Ok I am waiting for DIL to pick me up to get the kids from school, so I can find out exactly where everything is! This Grandma has a tendency to get lost, so wish me luck! Thank God for google maps!! :becky: :wave:
