Such sadness to hear the news about Notre Dame yesterday. :( I am seeing some reports that all religious artifacts were saved as well as the stained glass windows. Lots of money is being pledged to rebuild. It is weird to think of Paris without that cathedral so my hopes are that they will be able to do all of that.

So... my appt went good yesterday but I think I need to call the office today. I am all unbandaged and that feels wonderful! But I still have the stitches in. I thought they were coming out but he didn't do that. I was looking at them last night because I thought that maybe they are dissolving? But I don't know for sure. I go back in two weeks for one last recheck but that seems like an awfully long time to have them in.

The good news is that I am mostly cleared to do what I want with some conditions. I need to wear compression socks for a while if I am going to be on my feet for a long time. Doing any yard work, my ankle needs to be covered to keep it clean. No hiking just yet. I have to slowly work my way up to wearing sneakers over the next 5 days, so I am still hobbling around in that surgical shoe.

ATM, I so tired. I woke up at 3 am and it felt like it took me a long time to get back to sleep and then for only another hour. My head is very fuzzy. I have had to huge mugs of coffee and it isn't making a dent.

wishing all of you a happy and sunny day today!

Kay- it feels great to have everyone enjoy a meal that you cooked, especially one that takes a long time to prepare. The family time together must lift your spirits -- along with those wonderful temps! Bet the GGDD's laughter made you very happy.
That must be so frustrating for SIL, but a brace is better than surgery. I hope the next 3 weeks go fast.

Nancy- what a relief to get those taxes done and in the mail! Ha!! I tell my family the same, put what you need on the grocery list or it won't get bought.
The wind here has been bad too, the temps dropped like crazy during the day yesterday.
We finished the first 8 episodes last night and I was so happy when they got married :D So much foreshadowing too- I loved seeing little Roger Mac!

Trudy- that is such great news for Heather! I know all too well how it feels to get medical supplies covered and the worry that they won't be like with Gary's insulin pump. How sweet that Hunter can fly, little superman!
Your birthday dinner sounds *perfect!!* who wants to go out when you stay home and be comfy!?
My Gary is liking Outlander too. We watched the flogging scene last night as well as the wedding, so he knows by now it isn't all just mushy romance stuff.:p I don't think I was able to breathe during that one scene- well. maybe both :pound:

Karen- If anyone can find a way for dogs to not kill grass they would be a gazillionaire.... A pee rock area sounds like it would work well, fingers crossed that it gets approved.

Love to all!!

Morning ladies... A smoky haze is hanging over the lake at the bottom of our hill. Wish people would stop burning their leaves etc. Really there are places you can take all that stuff without cost :mmph: It still brings tears to my eyes when I watch the news about Notre Dame!! It sounds like the people of France are a strong bunch and will rebuild but it will never be the same  Yesterday I got a new painting done, after a failed one. This one I am very happy with and hopefully it will dry perfectly and I can get it varnished and put in my Etsy shop. Although I might have a hard time letting this one go LOL. The rest of the day is a blur as I kept watching the news and texting with our son who was very upset by the fire also. We are not a religious family, but the loss of the history is just so tragic! Today I will go to the pool and get my laps in and tomorrow, my sisters are taking me out for lunch and a pedicure for my birthday. It will be so nice to spend the day with them! It seems my Gary spoiled a gift they were going to give me, as they purchased a DNA kit for me also LOL It turned out ok though as my sister Pam will keep the kit for her Granddaughter Bella. :sorry: sisters !!

Chris - You and I are getting different news about the fire, I am hearing the stained glass windows are most likely not saved. I like your news better LOL. Sorry that you still have your stitches, they must be the dissolving kind, that is a long time for them to stay in if they are not. At least you can now get outside and do some dirt therapy as long as you keep your wound clean! So happy that you are enjoying the Outlander series!! Too bad we did not think of getting it from the library a long time ago

Well Heather and Hunter are facetiming so I gotta go for a bit, back later to catch up!! :bolt:

Hello girls, I'm so tired and depressed :behindsofa: , and I've missed so much here, that is difficult to me to get back on the horse. :wait1::elephant
With additional to my bad mood this was most shared pic in my IG story today

and it's so sad.
The home of God burn few days before Easter and he didn't do anything. What more eloquent sign that he's not care about us anymore.
"Notre-Dame de Paris" is emblematic book, if I remember correct it was part of the literature schoolbook, and even if you aren't christian, the cathedral was part of the culture heritage of the whole humanity.
I'm so so grumpy. So I promise to come back later with personals who are more observed, than I'm able to do now.

On a personal note, I'm sitting here stunned and writing on my "dead" Surface computer that suddenly came to life this morning again. It has gone out once but came right back. Obviously not doing well, but I got all kinds of additional things backed up so that is wonderful for me. Yikes--it just cut out again but saved the beginning of this message. Guess I'd better be quick.

Chris, seems strange to still have those stitches. Hope you got the right story on the stained glass, but in any event it is such a shame to have all that heritage burn. As Trudy said, not religious and don't see any philosophical side to it, but art and heritage are important. You'll be so happy to get a little dirt therapy!!

Trudy, interesting that everyone wanted to give you a DNA kit. They are exciting to do, but a lot of work if you want to connect with your matches to see where the ancestry goes back. Fun week for you it seems.

Felis, sorry you were feeling down even before the fire at Notre Dame. Hope you can focus on your furry friends and the life spring is bringing to the plant world.

May be the last time to write from my little friend, but so wonderful to have this second chance with my little computer.
Cheers, all.

Popping in to say a quick 'hi' to all.
Rats! the pee rock was turned down. As it is a city boulevard it has to be kept as is - meaning all grass. So I guess I have to replant and try to retrain Joe to pee elsewhere. ugh that will be a challenge. lol

Not much other news.

I've missed few days of comments here, so better concentrate on personals now!

Kythe, sorry that Joe now needs new pee rock! :D

Jean, this about the art class is so awesome! Good for you to try something you love in different ways! Hope to get the stimulation you was hoping for! Sorry for your broken Tablet, hope fast to find new on deal! Did you was able to save the whole information this time?

Trudy, I saw your new painting on Instagram, and it's gorgeous! I have to remind you to put your Etsy Store link in your instagram bio too, because you said: "it will go up for Sale", but people can't see where. Good news for the Heather's scooter! And the intimate dinner at home sounds as a lovely way to celebrate your birthday! Did I'm the only one who still is not watched the Game of Thrones?! I know I'll love it, but for now here it's only on hbo, so no chance for me to watch it! Hope after the last season other channel to buy it! I'm doing a happy dance, because one of the channels in my TV package bought "Riverdale", so now I'll be able to watch it, without to have ask my friend for favor. Will be much later than on Netflix, but will be duplicated and better late than never! Sorry to hear about your MIL's pinched nerve, and wish her fast recovery! I can understand why she don't want anybody to help her with the Easter Dinner, she want to show that isn't hopeless and is also too proud to give up from the control, but maybe will accept some help as a assistant, because "holidays are lonely time and you want to spend some time with her instead to feels as a guest", or something like that! Be creative proposing help!

Chris, this week 52 kit is created for you! Start slowly your turning back to the routine! Why you should go back to sneakers?! Wear flats and just cover it very well with a gaiters above the compression socks. I'm happy to hear your weather is finally warm! Here is raining now , but no complaining at all! Show us Cait with the new hairstyle! How exciting about the cruise!

Kay, your cabbage rolls was looking so delicious! We made it traditionally in clay casserole. How sad to have yard without to have any grass! Sorry about that, hope that the lawn service will can help! With my dad we watch one TV show when the lawn service bring grass on a roll, live green grass on a roll and can replant it everywhere. Lovely!

Rae, hope that the garage sale was successful and you have your place free for new supplies!

Nancy,WOW, 1.7 miles walk, very good! And how adorable about the turtles and robins! Sorry to hear about the Luther's ear infection and hope he is improving fast!
I hope you and your town is safe after the thunderstorm and tornado warning!

I'm so tired because of the spring fatigue, but this is something I'll keep for tomorrow, because today post will be long one.
So my weekend was as a usual, with exception of one disturbing story which which totally screwed up my mood. I had a very unpleasant experience in one of the social platforms. Karma's a Bit** and she never misses a chance to show it!
