Administrator Crazy about the "O"
Good morning everyone... late arriving here and have been MIA for the past few days. It's been an interesting week to say the least. The Municipality had to come again to our neighbours who insist that they do not have a leak in their irrigation system. They took them to their water meter and showed them that they had gone through two months worth of water in the past four days and that if they did not shut off and fix their irrigation system they would be getting hit with a $1000.00 water bill. Yikes!! that got their attention! The woman started beaking off the by-law officer saying that it was an underground spring and not them LOL. We haven't had rain in three months how could it possibly be an underground spring???? He told her she was wrong and if she wasn't quiet she would be slapped with a $300 fine right then and there. So she went back in the house. They have since shut off the irrigation system and Voila` the flooding into our property stopped and dried up, its a miracle LOL If they were good neighbours they would have come over and apologized to us, but nope, and we won't hold our breathe waiting for that to ever happen. Then on the weekend when were heading out to celebrate my bothers 70th birthday, we discovered one of our hot water tanks had burst and we had a small flood in the crawl space. We moved what we could and thankfully nothing was damaged, but the flood would have to wait to be cleaned up the next day. We are expecting the plumbers to come here today. Yesterday was my hiking day and it was a nice long one, almost 12 kilometres. My feet were sore and very hot by the end of the hike! Today I am going to start on a page for one of the challenges and I also need to get to the bank to close an account that has been dormant for some time. Wish I could just do that on line! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and that you do something fun today!

Good afternoon all.

Trudy @taxed4ever FINALLY!! That's great news that the flooding has stopped! So they tried to blame it on an underground spring? They must be pieces of work. They deserve that fine, too. Hope the rest of your day and week goes really well after this.

Not doing much here - scrapping and trying to get caught up. It's still hot here - 90 during the day but getting cooler in the evenings - fall is coming. My annuals are starting to look puny - it's that time of year. I'm just trying to keep all of my ferns looking good for a few more weeks, though. They'll be fine until the frost comes. I wish I had a way to salvage them through the winter, but our house is just too small for 4 huge ferns. I used to save my ferns but they're really messy after they've been outside all summer. They drop dead fronds every time you brush up against them. I'm not into cleaning up plant messes in my house anymore. Haha

Have a good day and hugs all around.
