The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hi there, O-Fam.How are you doing today? Hope that you are all doing great.

Well, I went to clean yesterday and it looked like she had no idea that I was coming. I left her a note although it was *pretty* obvious that I was there. *wink* I really hope that everything is ok. After I got back home I cleaned my BR and finally got the lightbulb changed in the ceiling fan- it has only been burned out for 7-8 months. As long as the globe was off, I scrubbed it out too and then dusted the tops of the fan blades. This is how I clean my house, with no rhyme or reason. One thing leads to another. It is amazing that I can accomplish anything.
Luckily, I made two birthday cards and started the third. I only will do three, FIL/MIL can share a card ha. Her birthday is the 28th and Dad's is the 29th, which is the same day as Diane's, my SIL.

I have to take W to the vet today, she needs a bunch of shots and a heartworm test. Then I am going to clean a bit more here. I am trying to do one or two rooms at a time and then Saturday will be most of the food prep. Maybe this time next week I will be able to scrap and relax a while. Maybe... :p

Love to everyone!

Kay- Big hugs, it has to be hard to see DD#1 leave again. Will they be back for any of the holidays?
The purse sounds perfect. It is hard to find a purse that is "just right." For me, they are either too big or too little and never the right amount of pockets. The one I got recently is the right size but has 5 compartments and I can never keep track of what I put where.

@taxed4ever I hope that the hike was rejuvenating!

@mywisecrafts I scrap my Christmas cards but I typically don't start until Dec 23rd. Trudy makes a lot of her cards and they always come out stunning

@tanteva Big squishy hugs to you and Marten! Poor baby :(
That is such a long drive to the clinic, it stinks that Urban has to do that drive again today. I would be out of my mind to be in the car that long. Three hours and I am toast. But that's what we do for our kids and furbabies.
Thinking of you at work today, hope that the coworker situation is all good.

@Cherylndesigns Did you not listen to me and overdo it?? Don't make me come over there and get Ava! Why am I thinking that you must have been *extremely* tired to take a nap.
The one skeleton is (was) wearing a witch hat. She fell over during the night and I wish that I took a photo. She had her feet on the chair, but her head and hands were on the floor like she was getting ready to do a somersault. i thought Gary had placed her that way but it was purely an accident. Tell Tex that Braxton says "Hey pardner!"

@nancyr it was humid yesterday and also today. Please tell me that you aren't expecting much rain by you. My area is supposed to get 1-3" but your town probably can't take any more water at all.
So exciting that hockey is starting!! When does the official season begin?
HAGD!

Morning, O's.... a cool morning - 52* right now but will be back into the mid-80's later in the day. We are starting to see the leaves turning so fall is showing her colors in spots. My kids used to call them 'apple crisp morning' due to the cool weather.... think biting into a green Granny Smith apple... tart and sweet with a crunch.

Guess I over-did a bit as I woke up with tight back muscles this morning. Carried out the FULL kitchen trash which was heavier than usual late yesterday. Glad the big trash/recycle bins are on wheels as they had to be wheeled to the curb and were both full.

Chris, hope your friend appreciates that you were able to clean for her. I used to have a 'cleaning' schedule when the kids where young... it was on a Saturday. I would put on The Kingston Trio tape and they knew it was 'cleaning time'. Now I don't have a schedule but clean areas when the mood strikes..... hahahaha
I do like my new purse but realized that I had too much stuff in it that weighed alot- so did a major clean-out after I carried it the first time. As there are plenty of zip compartments, I got rid of the zipped pouch organizers I had been using, swapped out heavy checkbook covers for lighter one, plus emptied change to just a few coins, etc. All told... I got rid of over 2 lbs that I didn't need to carry now. Yes, I weighed the purse before, the items before/after, and the purse after the purge.

Cheryl, hope the nap helped a bit. Yep, find that I am napping more now - the body finds a way to slow us down so it can recover. Don't be in a rush to do things during this recovery period. <<< hugs >>>

Eva, that is a long drive but hope the vet can help with your pet.

Hoping you all have a good day.

Morning everyone! I have been face timing with Heather all morning. The boys are home from school today as they had a major storm roll through their area and the school still did not have power, so it got cancelled. Luckily Heather's power turned on at 4am this morning after being out all night long. So the boys are having a PJ day and keeping each other entertained. My hike yesterday was so beautiful! A new one for all of us through some beautiful old growth forest and trails along a little lake, so tranquil!! We lucked out with the weather too as it had rained through the night but right before the hike the sun came out and stayed out for our whole hike. We must have sent the right vibes to the weather gods LOL. Today I need to get my grocery order in so I can pick it up tomorrow and other than that I will flit between projects that I have on the go. I actually sat down and made my first Christmas Card, yes I do make my own cards @mywisecrafts and it will probably take me forever to get them all made, seems to take me forever to do anything these days LOL.

@faerywings - Chris I bet your friend will be very grateful that you came and cleaned for her! I hope that everything is ok with her also! I really need to get some deep down cleaning done around here too! I was looking at all the baseboards and thinking that it is time to slap another coat of paint on them. Really should get that done before Thanksgiving as we are hosting Turkey dinner this year. Thanksgiving for us here in Canada is one October 11th, so yikes I better get busy!!

@BrightEyes - Kay it sounds like you are definitely into the fall weather! The trees are all changing colour here also, but a lot of them are so stressed from all the drought we had this summer that some have just died. :( Hope you can rest up and get your back to feeling better today! Yes good thing your garbage cans are on wheels!! I stopped carrying a purse years ago and now only carry a nice little wallet that is big enough to hold my phone and all my cards that I need and a bit of cash. (not that I use cash much anymore). It has a great strap to wrap around my wrist and I can attach my car keys to it. I haven't had any back issues since, best thing I ever did for my back!

Here is a photo of my card I made and one of the sympathy card I made for a member of our hiking group who lost his wife recently. The whole group signed it. There were 21 of us on the hike yesterday.

Just popping in quickly to say hi - too tired to even read what you all been up to. Worked today and it was fine. Mårten is still at the vet's. He's been peeing & eating (if he's fed). On pain meds & antiinflammatory meds. We'll probably make the drive tomorrow to pick him up. The vet thinks this is stressrelated, and the only thing we can come up with is that we changed the litter. Not sure what to do, cuz we had to change the litter due to the fact that Discord was coughing so much of the old one.

Any way - I'll probably be gone for the whole day tomorrow. Just so you know.

Afternoon all.

Chris @faerywings GUILTY AS CHARGED!! I HAVE been overdoing it - you might need to come out here and get Ava. I definitely need slapped upside the head (insert emoji slapping herself). How did you know that taking a nap is definitely not normal for me??? I just got exhausted yesterday.

I was laughing so hard trying to picture your skeleton doing the "ditty wa ditty". Are you sure she and Braxton didn't get into the liquor??? ROTFLMAO I'll have to watch Tex to make sure he doesn't nip into mine. I sat him on my kitchen bar and he loves it there. Tell Braxton that Tex says "Hey back". Haha

I go back to the ortho next Tuesday, so I'm anxious to see what he has to say.

Trudy @taxed4ever what beautiful cards! How nice that your whole group got to sign the sympathy card. Wow, 21 of you on a hike? How fun!

Kay @BrightEyes sounds like you overdid it, too. I was smart enough to listen to my body for once and as you said, it helped. My hubby was shocked to see me laying down in the middle of the day. I might do it again today, before I overdo it.

One of the dumb things I did yesterday was to not put my halter on. It felt so good not to have it on, but I realized later that I'm not quite ready to go totally without it. The dr may tell me to phase it out, but I'm going to wear it (except while I'm sleeping) until I go back next Tuesday. I even put my sling back on yesterday.

I made two layouts for the pre-releases yesterday. I had some energy when I got up from my nap. I was really hungry too - I ate some instant mashed potatoes right out of the little container. I think I also needed that.

Hope everybody has a good day. Eva @tanteva hope your kitty is feeling better. I would certainly drive that far too if that was my only option.

Esther @mywisecrafts good to see your smiling face. Don't let Chris's @faerywings last minute habits rub off on you. J/K - or am I??? BWAHAHA

Waving all around.

Friday morning here and we're waiting for the vet to call. They said to Urban yesterday that they would try and call as early as possible since we have such long drive. Just hoping he's started eating, but I guess we'll get him anyway and will have to feed him a couple of days til the meds really does it's thing.

Will just try and scrap a bit while I wait. Creativity is good for the soul. The Fab Friday releases are amazing this month!

Will check in tonight and let you all know. Then I have a plan for the weekend: me, the sofa, Netflix & Mårten on my lap!

Me again. Vet called. We will pick Mårten up this after noon (after 4 pm). Then the drive home - will be home again around 9 pm (about 10 hrs from now when I'm writing this). It will be a loooong day.
