Chaos! utter chaos.

Too many little things are piling up and making me somewhat (more)
Yesterday's kookiness involved my brother calling to tell me that my mom told his wife that she sold her jewelry in a park over the weekend.
Sure, read that again. I'll wait.
*blinks*
He called me as I was driving, left a voicemail, then a text. I called him as soon as I got home-- of course, I am in a panicky state at that point. So when he relayed the info that my Sis-IL told him, it took all my effort not to laugh hysterically at him. I ticked off all of the reasons why I found that to be completely outlandish (I used the word "unlikely" with him), and I know he thought I was blowing it off. My mom is one of the most suspicious people I know. She has been talking about selling some of her old jewelry for *years.* And she knows the value of what she has. Any given day, she has a stack of books from the library on her table about makers' marks, antiques, etc, and so on.
My brother asked me to give her a call and find out what went on and jeez - wouldn't you know, I was right. She went to a Vendor's Market at a hotel's conference center. She scoped everything out the first day, went back the next with a few of her pieces, and went through the process of selling a few of them, while changing her mind about a couple that she isn't ready to give up just yet.
My mom and I had a chuckle over my brother's assumptions. OTOH, she immediately asked how he knew, which isn't going to give my Sis-IL any brownie points for telling him. My mom thinks my Sis-IL butts her nose too much into her business, that ain't gonna help!
Yeah, that was about an hour out of my day straightening that out.
I am very excited to be blond again for a couple of reasons. It feels good to cover/hide the grey. I might need the "dumb blond" stereotype for the conference next week.
I recently got access to the Weis staff accounts and when I tried to log in to review some of the presentation info, the password had been changed. Great... :/
It is what it is. I'll just cram as much basic info on moss/lichen/pollution as I can into my head. Hope for the best.
On a happier note, check out my friends:

We had 7 on Monday, 6 on Tuesday, and down to 4 yesterday. The big chonkers step off and I hope we'll see some more monarchs in a week or so.
I have to clean for my friend this morning and then the afternoon is mine! I wrote up my challenge, now I have to scrap it.
HAGD!
