Daily Ooos: Thursday, October 30

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
How kooky is it that it's Oct 30? Tomorrow is Halloween? I feel like I have skipped over October and am already mentally thinking about Thanksgiving. Usually I'm all in for Halloween, but I am just not feeling it this year.

I had yet another financial freakout yesterday, although this one had me giggling a teeny bit. I got the estimate for Jaida's surgery, which was what I had expected. Still way more than I can afford, but what can you do? As I was looking at the itemized breakdown, I saw that they are prescribing her Trazodone 100 mg and the cost will be $15. We have some Trazodone left from her previous surgery and my mind immediately jumped to-- well, I can save the $15 (as if that is going to make a dent :rotfl:). Then I realized that if I can keep my health insurance, my Trazodone Rx (50 mgs) will be $30for one month. I can use up Jaida's leftover Traz for her and keep the extras for me!!
It works, yannow? LOL!!!

The field trip today got canceled due to the heavy rain so I am not working. But Scott is coming for dinner and that will be fun!

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Good morning. Checking in late this morning. I just could not bring myself to get out of bed. So when I finally did, I just needed to get ready to get down to the twins. This is our last day. Their childcare provider comes back tomorrow. I have enjoyed it and I am so happy that I was available to help. But I am tired.

However I have the coffee going strong so I’ve got this!
How did it feel when you got home and put your feet up after babysitting? I hope you don't have any big plans today so you can rest.

And to make yesterday a special day... both DD#1 and DSis called me to see how I was doing. :D
That is sweet!
Yikes, it is cold by you! Hope you snuggled in and stayed warm.
es, yes I did!!! Woot Woot, got it all done and had time to zone out. Hubs helped with grocery shopping and so it went way quicker. Didn't even impulse buy.
Sweeeeet!! I don't know how you didn't impulse buy. I would always see something "on sale" and toss it in my cart. That's why I shop online, I save money that way even with the $5 shopping fee :D
I never bring Gary shopping unless I had no choice. His thing was Entenmann's chocolate donuts.
The funniest thing they said was come back after I put 50 miles on the tires. I was like okay so you want me to come back tomorrow? And they laughed. I was like 50 a day is easy and every day. What a pain to remember to stop and have things checked out but better safe than sorry.
That's hysterical!

The dogs need to go out, better get going!
xo

Good morning. Today is an easy day. Now that the twins are back to their day care provider, I am doing pre-school drop off for the 4 year old. I would start a rant about car seats...but what's the point?!!! We do have health insurance finally...it's expensive and it really only covers catastrophic stuff...but that's the state of the world. I feel fortunate to be able to pay for it because I know that there are plenty of people who don't know how they will make it happen.

Tonight an old friend (both in age and number of years---have known each other since 3rd grade) is taking me out to celebrate my retirement. Am I really retired? Maybe! Must be! Because I got a book read this week. I really do recommend The Restoration Garden.

Today is a day when I need to get to Target to pick up prescriptions and then I need to get some sour cream. Shaun wants Party Chicken for supper. So I'll fix that for him and Brian and pop it into the oven before I leave to have dinner with my friend!

Need to do some clean up on my Cheery-O stuff. I can't believe that I have been back less than a month. I am so grateful and looking forward to having a clean slate in November. Also going to get my desk cleaned up so that I can put my big monitor here. Plenty to do today. Wish me luck!
