Good morning Astrid, how are you? I know that feeling all too well with the car stuff. Last month, I had my car in for brakes and I ended up needing $900 worth of repairs. Not that there is *ever* a good time for that, but I have not been able to work since January and we are having a really tough time of it.
I hope that they didn't find anything else wrong and that the repairs are done quickly, if you had to leave it there.
It is always *something.* :mmph:
I just checked our weather, and the next few nights are going to get down into the 20*F! We have the heat on at night, (one of the benefits of low oil prices!), but I don't like this weather at all. Sounds like you don't either.
I made it through yesterday's "fun" and only screamed and yelled and stamped my feet for a few hours. LOL Not really-- it was limited yelling. It took me an hour to write the letter to the Drs office, laying out all of the dates etc. Then I ran over to the post office to send it Certified- an hour of my time and $4 in postage for something that I shouldn't have to be dealing with. blergh.
I get home from food shopping and there is a note from Gary on the counter to call V. at the Cancer Care Center. This is the drs office that had been billing me from last year and I had all of the referrals re-sent to them. My heart drops, like what else can go wrong with this?? When I speak to V. she tells me that the referrals are the "wrong kind" that they need to be on a special form. That there is no way that they can accept this as a referral and that b/c it is from a year and a half ago, she doesn't think that my PCP will be able to write a new one. I ask her as politely as I can manage why the office wouldn't tell me all of this when I brought them in on the day of my visit?? :frusty:
She puts me on hold (no Hold Music, thank goodness. that now has me conditioned to be angry) and then comes back and tells me that she will be able to waive the bill but if I need to come back to make sure that I had the proper forms for referrals. I joked with her that whatever health plan I chose, I will gladly pay whatever premiums that I have to in order to get one that doesn't require Referrals.
Hopefully this is the end of these issues for a little while. I am not dealing with anything medical today. I should be making an appt for an eye exam but I don't want to speak to anyone about medical/insurance etc!
Today is National Grouch Day! This is a special day for all the grouchy people out there to celebrate. Grouches are typically miserable, grumpy, and irritable. They thrive off of others’ misfortunes, and only then are they “happy”.
National Grouch Day allows all grouches out there to celebrate their way of life. Not a grouch? This day also gives all the normally chipper people a day to complain for once! For those everyday grouches, here are a few ways to live a happier life: do a fun or silly activity, allow yourself only five minutes of negative time, do something to benefit others, or enjoy some healthy foods.
Celebrate National Grouch Day by being pessimistic, cranky, and irritable, and then be nice tomorrow! You can also celebrate by watching an episode of Sesame Street in honor of Oscar the Grouch, or by sending one of our
free Sesame Street online invitations for an upcoming party.
yesterday was Grover's B-day, and today is My Special Day! hahahah!!!
::grouphug to all!!!
