The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Uh oh- I am running late this morning, but for a very good reason. I just had an awesome convo with Scott. Not to get political, but we had a great political/society/future of the USA discussion. For a 15 yo to be so aware and wanting so much to make a difference in the world- warms my heart and makes me proud. See, my reading of the Bill of Rights at the dinner table when they were young has paid off!!!

I was supposed to be cleaning today... just got an email that her house isn't ready for me. Bummer :( I offered to come for a couple of hours and just do bathrooms, hopefully she will take me up on it. If not, then I have to clean my own house

The play date with the puppies was a bust. Ray was so timid and scared of the 2 little dogs, it was hysterical. Then they all slept the rest of the time, while my BFF and I chatted. I guess that is a step in the right direction, if she was truly scared and nervous, she wouldn't have slept.

I am gpoing to post this now, and be back when I have more time.

xoxo!

RAIN RAIN RAIN.................................AND MORE RAIN!!!

Kinda of chilly too!!

I have been up since 2:30 thanks to one little girl....I am not sure why she has such sleeping problems...but I am up a lot with her!! She even takes a medicine for children to calm her to allow her to sleep and she still gets up!! So about 4 or 5 today....yall holler and wake me up...cause I am gonna be passing out!!!

Laurie i just love your day off enthusiasm! being at home ALL the time like me kind of takes the joy out of the day's possibilities.

Chris, bummer about the puppy playdate!

i guess the roofers will be here again today. no rain but REELEE cold. i am getting out of the house today for a lunch date. hopefully nothing in the restaurant will make my tongue swell up. (dealing with some WEIRD food-related stuff lately. i couldn't eat the dinner i made yesterday because when i tasted it, the tongue weirdness happened! so i ate low-carb ice cream and string cheese later.) tongue weirdness. leave it to me to develop some syndrome from outer Space. honestly.

well, enough moaning. i'm going to try to fill up the shelves in my new armoire with some of the clutter in my house.

Splendid Thursday to everyone!

Linda, we posted at the same time! hope YOU have a chance to nap today! why is it that life conspires to turn all women into Night Owls??

Good Morning! Where's the coffee.....Chrisssssss need some of yours.

Hoping today is productive at work and I don't feel too overwhelmed. I can only do what I can do....right, right.....

Mechanic is coming over again before I head out to work and try the test on the car again...this is one time I'm praying it doesn't start right away so he can get a good test and either confirm it's the starter or not.....so we can go on with fixing it or checking out other alternatives......

Later Dudettes, have a great day, will catch up on personals tonight.

Hi again-- Still no word if that client wants me to to do a half day or not. I really really cannot afford to lose a day's pay. I picked up Gary's insulin yesterday-- $181... for *one month.* he is in the Medicare donut hole. it bites, big time. I can understand not fully covering say-- his Lipitor, but insulin???????????? In fact, his Nystatin was $60 and I told the pharmacist that I couldn't take it. better to keep him alive than "anti-fungalized." hahahah!!!

OTOH- its like the cobblers sons not having shoes- my house is a wreck, and with all of the holidays around the corner talk- yup- freaking out slightly here.

Laurie-- enjoy your day! Do something fun for me too :D

Nana- the temps here dropped from 60's to 40's today, cold here too. Hope your babies all behave today and you can get in some nap/chill time.

Phyllis- tongue swelling is never a good sign. Did you call the dr, have any allergy testing done? Hope that you can eat and not have a problem.

omg- I have to post this- Catzilla was at it again on my keybd, so I shut her in the bedroom, but now she is banging at the door to get out, She is going to wake up the enighborhood!

Still no snow! On Sunday it's "julskyltning" here in my home town. That's when the stores decorates their windows for Christmas, and there's lots of specials, and music and lots of things happening .... NO SNOW though. This is so totally weird! I'm beginning to think we won't have a White Christmas this year.

Feeling like I'm getting a cold. Spent almost all day yesterday by the TV - watching New Moon and Eclipse among others. Yes, I know I've said I'm not impressed with the Twilight Saga - but at least the movies are better than the books :) And Jasper ... yummy!

I should be scrapping, I'm stepping down from some teams, and I have some last work to do before that. No inspiration though. Well, there are a few days left of November so it will be fine :)

Chris - with all the medical drama you've gone through I'm sure you've already asked the doctor, but is there a brand of insulin that he can be changed to that would be covered?

Good morning everyone - Mamaw is getting a perm today and its more work in the basement for me today. Didn't find any new treasures but I did find some more scrapbook stuff to take for the sale tomorrow. The oil is changed in the car and the new sticker is on the license plate.... it has 12-12 on it - kind of gave me a big smile when I stuck it on the car.

The gallery gave me another hiccup yesterday - the comments on 1 of my pages I have up are gone. Stupid but I was D mad. There were just a few but I noticed the count didn't change ... and now I'm back to 1.

Maureen thanks for your brilliant idea of going in as a guest and seeing if I see myself in the casket in the gallery ... I do I'm going to reset the pc later today to before I changed the avatar and see what happens.

Morning ladies!!

No rain, but the sun is out and the temps in the 50's today. That seems chilly until I think about what is to come in the next weeks and months so I guess 50's is is a warm temp!!

Headed to exercise and then run to the library for some books for my mother. She is 94 years old and discovered a couple of years ago she loves to read........she reads at least 3 books a week. At the time I had bought her some books, but at the rate she was reading I had to go to the local library and start getting the books. She really needs to learn how to operate a Kindle or one of the other versions.........but since she often has trouble with the cell phone (usually has it upside down!!) kindle probably not on her Santa list!!

Chris-Maybe next time on the puppy date they will interact more. Sounds like a great conversation with a teen!

Laurie-Enjoy your day and accomplish much!

Linda-Hope you find some zzzzzzzz's today.

Phylis-Enjoy your lunch!!

Frani-No one deserves to somehow win a car more then you do!! I hope those wheels get fixed. When the car doesn't run it effects everything in our day and how to get it done. Hope they find the problem and cheaply too.

Eva-Hope you are feeling better.

Enjoy your day!
Donna

Chris - the donut hole is tough - a friend of mine uses canada drugs. com (you don't need the spaces) the month(s) they are in the donut hole.... drugs are about 1/2 the cost. I use it for my allergy/asthma medicene and it helps the pocket book. Debbie

Donna - your mom would get the kindle - you may have to load her books and start her on the next one but it holds your place when you turn it on and off and you can make the text big for easier reading..... as much as the price is going down I'd give it a try

you just might be pleasantly surprised.

Morning peeps...An early walk on the beach til the sun really came through. The weather is great but the sun is hot and I forgot sunblock this am. I believe my skin can take 15 min per side! The sun comes up on one end of the beach and sets at the other so we are looking south. That's how I have the sun on one side of me for each direction.

Once I eat my late breakfast I'm off to a Farmers' Market in Bluffton. I 'thought' we had both planned to go but he wants another bike ride while it's sunny and warm. After a moment of pique, I realized I'd be happier doing that kind of wandering on my own.

Chris - many drug companies supply free, yes free drugs, to people who are caught in your position or who are totally without medical coverage. I would call one of your Federal Senators or your Congressperson, and ask about this. Ask for the caseworker who handles SocSec and/or Medicare. I used to be a federal caseworker, not those areas though, and I had the info then as a resource, but don't have it now.

Back later for more personals.

Morning ladies , running late as usual, but will be here later today! Snow on the mountains this morning, very beautiful as long as it stays there and not down further!!
Personals later :sorry: but gotta :dash:

Chris move to Canada, Insulin is free here too.

I'm with Trudy. In a rush this AM... did what to poke my head in to say brrrrr - it's a chilly 50 here in Texas and I am late, late, late!! BBL!

Have a fantastical day and stuff everyone!!

Hey everyone!!! Quick post for me as I need to start working on getting the house ready for the flooring guys!! Eeeeeek!!! I'm kinda scared that I won't be able to get it all together before we have 21 people descend on us on Thursday!!! But as long as I maintain a good attitude, no one will mind, right?????

love you all!!! have a wonderful THursday!! (You guys know what thursday means, right??? it means tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!! yipeeeee!!!)

Hi my O-Fam, I am back for a bit. I was able to clean- 2 baths and one bedroom. So my two half days for this client worked into a full day's pay yay!!! Still nowhere close to paying that darn insulin bill... grrrrr

But gee! I have offers of people to move in with?? hahahah!! Watch out, Eva and Trudy, you might just find us on your doorsteps, insulin Rx in hand :D

Sally-- you will, you always do. Just don't forget your oxygen and don't forget that this is your family who adores you!!!!

Maureen- hope that you enjoyed the framers market. My mom and I took the kids to a general store in PA last weekend, which was a trip. Rabbits and chickens outside a dog running around inside, Amish butter and jams and fresh fudge and tons of kitschy stuff.
Thanks for the info- we tried to get assistance, but for some programs like throiugh my state we make too much-- others, we don't make enough. really, how crazy is that? I did contact my Rep. and my 2 senetors wheile we were ewaiting for Garty's disability hearing, which was taking almost 2 years to come up. All I get fromthem are campaign pamplets. grrr...

I forgot about Canada drugs- we bought our tindamax there last year. Gary is on humulog/insulin pump and is sensitive to other brands, so that wasn't an option for him, but maybe we can look around again.

Donna- that is awesome about your mom loving to read- and too funny about the cell phone. My parents *never, ever* turm theirs on. Makes my brother and I crazy!

Hi Trista and Fran and Phyllis.... who am I missing? I need the Magic Mirror!

oh man, so my day is over and I'm only just now getting into the forum and I really need to run to bed because i am setting up the parent's Cafe at Kindergarten and have a sinking feeling that I have to be there by 7:30am...

yikes! so this is a post and run, I'm not even getting a chance to read through all the other stuff going on. Some days are like that, aren't they?!

Just stopping by! I really need to go put my exercise video on!! Instead I'll say hi...Hi!! It's been a crazy couple of days these past two days. Tues night my youngest son decided not to sleep...seriously...he wanted to play and screamed every time I told him no. So, I didn't sleep much either...maybe 3 hours. It is so unlike him! Then I hosted two different Bible study/prayer groups at my house Wed and attended another Thursday - whew...now I'm ready for a quiet afternoon (since I think it may blizzard here - it's already snowing and starting to blow) and hopefully a warm Friday, too!

Hello sweet "O" friends!! I'm baaacckk wow this day went really fast!! We are having a big Pederno sale and everyone and their dog is in the store, buying kitchen ware like crazy !! It was nuts in there today :loco: Glad to be home!

Chris - nice that you got a full day's pay! Sorry that it does not cover the cost of your insulin. show up at my doorstep anytime, I'll break out the wine!!

Laurie - lucky you a day off, hope its fun!!

Ohhh Nana, you need more sleep  wish I could help you out!! Hope tonight is better!!

Phylis - Yikes, swollen tongue, doesn't sound good :scared: Hope your roofers finish up quickly for you!

Fran - Hope your day was productive! Too bad you are having issues with your car still, hope they find the problem and doesn't cost a bundle!

Eva - You can have the snow we got today, I am so not ready for winter to be here!!

Debbie - Still having problems?? hope you figure things out!!

Donna - how nice that your mother still reads!! My poor mom was barely coherent at that age, dementia is a terrible thing!! Perhaps if she had kept reading it wouldn't have gotten so bad??

Maureen - Have fun at the farmers market, I get my veggies at our local farmers market every week, so nice to support the local farmers and the food is so fresh and tasty !!

Sally- New floors!!!! How lucky are you!!! I bet they will look fabulous!!

Amber - Wow you sound very busy girl!! Hope you get everything done!!

Sandra - You and Linda should keep each other company when you hardly get any sleep at night. Hope tonight has many more ZZZZ's for everyone!

Well time to get supper on the go... leftovers tonight.
