C'mon Girl, where are you?
*waves more chocolate around to entice my brain to come back home*
Has anyone seen my mind? I think it's still missing and I'm not sure how to get it back. It's gotta be *somewhere* around here, right? Right???

I won't bore you with any details because I have to take Gary to an eye dr appt soon. I thought if he was up to it, we could walk around BJs afterward since we will be close by. I don't think I have it in me to do any Christmas "wandering." Not today. (not ever, really -- but at some point, I don't have a choice) I spent way too much time on Etsy yesterday afternoon but I found a cute campsite welcome mat with Scott and Sam's names added to it. I am so spoiled by Amazon Prime when the shipping came to $12, I practically fell off my chair. The mat itself was on sale for $14, so shipping was almost as much as the item. Whatever..... *throws hands in the air in resignation* It's too early to toss the gift budget out the window but Idont; see many options at this point.

Wishing everyone a happy and stress-free day!

Good news-- the fire is now 50% contained!! The smoke is much worse though and my eyes are burning.
You have a LOT going on ... add to that the coming holidays ... it is easy to see how you are stressed. Maybe you need to take a break ... or two ... in your day, if only for 15 minutes, and do something you REALLY enjoy doing to give yourself a reset!
Love that your HSchoolers are enjoying while learning! You have some great ideas! I love how you engage them in the thinking process!
Aww, thanks! I wasn't sure how much these kids would know about the scientific process but felt that cause and effect and predictions and outcomes would be good places to start. Not to mention, anytime kids get to play in the dirt-- it's a good thing LOL
So happy that you are leading the widows group! ♥

@bcgal00 The fire is more contained today. It would be so helpful to get some precipitation -- I'll even take snow and you know how I feel about snow :giggle4:
Hope you had a wonderful time with the ladies!

@BrightEyes I hope that the wind didn't blow you away yesterday- It is finally cold here, 26* right now and high in the 40*. That's much more normal yet it won't take me long to complain about how I miss the warm temps LOL
Very pretty necklaces!

Dont look Chris, it says its 8* today!!! Our high will be maybe 25.
The "Real Feel" here is 16* -- not too far off from you :brrr:

Dont worry, your mind is right next to mine. They're having a good time together. Dont worry they'll return in the distant future.:giggle4:
Is your mind bribeable with chocolate? Maybe you can ask your mind to tell mine that I need her back!
Thank you for the reminder to breathe- I haven't been keeping up with yoga and I can feel the difference, not having a voice primed in my head to breathe properly.

I wa somewhat successful - and today I have more errands that will drain my wallet. I hate this. There always seems to be more month left than money.
And it is only mid-month! Yesterday was Gary's Social Security deposit day, and *poof* it's gone.

You're not going to believe this, Chris (well, you probably will). I couldn't find my watch yesterday ANYWHERE and tried the Find My app from my phone. No luck because my watch was dead. So apparently, you're out of luck if your device is dead. I finally found it last night - under a pile of clean clothes that I had put on my bed ro fold. Yep, it was completely dead. Of course, the minute it got any charge, it started making that obnoxious sound.
Hahaha!! Of course, I believe it! I live it, every darn day! Where is X? Where is Y? Where is my mind? All day, every day! :lol23:

Hi Chris, oh it's awful by you and you have much more forest to burn. Yes, we had barely any wind today, the Livingston fires are still burning but contained to the middle, so not a danger at the moment, the helicopters left but all are on alert. My friend said like all over, they won't stop burning until we get a good drenching rain.
Today when I took my little friend Julianne for a walk I could smell the smoke again and they said it was much worse in the morning.

Hoping that your containment numbers go up and up. The numbers of burning acres are astounding, I still can't believe it's NJ.
It seems to be getting better. You can tell because now my local FB page has gone from "support the fire dept/#WM Strong" to "why hasn't the Governor/federal govt/local reps/random person shown up to help?" LOL

@taxed4ever Oh no!! Your fence! "Good" time to fall if you can look on the bright side.
OMG all day long I thought I posted the above message!! Move over @faerywings I have lost my mind too dagnabbit

:floorlaugh:
Can your mind find mine and Tracy's and send them back to us? Bribe it with chocolate or wine if that helps :D

Time to put my contacts in-- my eyes are not going to be happy with that but I have to see if I am going to be driving.
HAGD! xoxo

Good Morning everyone! We now have a lovely new fence where the old one was, Hooray!! Those poor guys worked hard all day long in the sunshine at first and then the pouring rain. The neighbour that we share this fence with was upset that the workers were not very friendly to her and didn't want to answer some of her questions. she txt me and complained about them. I told her that they were there to get the fence put up and get the work done, not to chit chat with her. They were very nice men, but were there to do a job for Greg the owner of the company and if she had a problem, then she should contact them. Anyway at the end of the day, she was very happy with the end results. Oh boy the drama!!! So today I have to run out to Hope Farm and grab some eggs and then get the blackberry pies made. I worked on my Calendar yesterday while the workers were here and got one completed and halfway through another, just a couple more to go :yesss:. I should be done soon! I also got a couple of t-shirts made for my grandson Isaac, with some Rune symbols from a game he loves heat transfered onto the shirts, hope he likes them as a Christmas gift! I am hoping that our son will have room to take them home with him as Canada Post is threatening a Postal Strike and I might not be able to mail them. Damn them!! :rollingpin1:. Well I better get into the shower and get on with the day! Hope that you all have a wonderful Thursday! :waving3:

I am hoping my mind will wander back to me eventually also! My neighbours drama kind of threw me for a loop yesterday and I was in a bad mood all day long!! Hope that you and your Gary have a nice day together and that you get to wander around BJ's and see what is new in the store. So happy to hear that the fire is getting under control! Sorry that there is so much more smoke though!! Any chance of rain anytime soon??

Morning, all. The high winds didn't hit until last evening so I was able to get all my errands finished and back home before then. :yesss: I bought a pair of fleece PJs at Kohl's but have to take them back. I got large and I should have bought medium!! Forgot that since I lost 20 lbs last year I wear a smaller size now. :floorlaugh: Need to do that today - before the sale is off. Also on my errands today is going back to the library.... the County Tax Office is holding an outreach program to pay property taxes for 2 hours this afternoon. It is just over a mile to the library - better than driving the 25 miles to the County Tax office!!! :yesss::):yesss: A couple of years ago, several neighborhood mailboxes were vandalized and mail was stolen. My tax payment and many others were stolen. Didn't know mine was stolen until I got the 2nd half of taxes due in the spring along with a penalty for not paying the 1st half. When I got to the tax office there were about 10 of us there who all had their payments stolen. Now I always take my tax payment to the tax office and get a receipt . Glad they are doing the outreach program this year.

All 7 of the books by Susan May Warren I had on hold at the library came in yesterday!!! She is a "new to me" author. I just finished reading her 6 Montana Rescue Series over the weekend. Love being able to read a series from 1st to last at one time. I devoured the 1st book of 3 of the Sky Ranch series last evening. @AK_Tracy - I thought of you as I was reading it... It is set in Alaska near Denali. Not sure how realistic it is but made me appreciate how challenging it is to live in the back country... especially in the winter!
@taxed4ever So sorry that your fence was blown down... but glad that the crew was able to come and get it repaired quickly. Had to shake my head at your neighbor getting upset because the workers wouldn't answer her question... DUH!! They were there to work not talk!!

DD#1 is calling. BBL

Good Morning!
From work. sigh

IM HERE!!!!!! ***drooling**** GIMME the chocolate and no one gets hurt. :giggle4:

This drives me nuts. Why do they do that? Sale price dirt cheap but your gonna pay way tooooo much for shipping and you know they're shipping slow boat. Or at least here they do.
The "Real Feel" here is 16* -- not too far off from you :brrr:
We're warmer than your real feel, by a degree. Its was 17 when I left for work. Were down to 15 now and a snow/blow storm due in two hours. So we shall see. Winds already blowing.
Thank you for the reminder to breathe- I haven't been keeping up with yoga and I can feel the difference, not having a voice primed in my head to breathe properly.
Get back to Yoga!! You know you feel better and I bet you find your mind if you do. :heartpumppink:

Oh my gosh. This made me laugh. Why do people wanna talk to workers and ask all kinds of stupid questions then get mad when they either answer them all and get behind or dont stop and talk and get the job done. Drives me crazy. Glad you set her straight telling her they were there to work not talk. And if its raining then they really want out of there.

Ooooohhhhhh this sounds like a good series. Gonna check it out. I am sure there was some added drama but near Denali is rough. Some of the roads are closed because snow and winds make them impassible and they cant be maintained. People still try every year and sadly we loose people every couple years because they think the can make it down the highway and get snowed in and no one can get to them. No cell reception and so they cant even call for help.

Today is a work day. Until the 22nd I will be at work but for Sunday. And Wednesday cause I am not giving up cooking. Told them someone else had to do that day so my trainees will be here instead. Should be interesting.

Off to answer phone and work on the SOP I need to finish (start).
