First off, I have to apologize. I have been doing a lot of posting quickly and then running off into the ether. May is non-stop!:faint:
I have so much stupid stuff going on, and everything takes more time than I expect. Stupid things like getting ready for Scott's b-day today. hehehe! That makes me proud. 19 years old! Damn!
Everyone is home today. No school for Cait- long weekend. Scott asked for eggs and coffee cake for a family b-fast. Then my parents are coming up for dinner tonight. I am in charge of dessert, and Gary is making his yummy penne and vodka. I am going to have to remind him when to start cooking it, the sauce takes a long time to simmer.
My IL's are having dinner with us on Sat. and the boy Cait babysits is their great-nephew, and his mom is their niece, so we will have her stay when she is out of work. My BFF's birthday is tomorrow and I still haven't made her a card.
Not much time to rest yesterday either. had to go food shopping by myself, since Gary was not feeling well. My BFF Across the Street's DD had knee surgery (she is 16, like Cait) and had to be left alone, so she asked me to check in on her. I texted her a few times during the day. Then cait texted me to ask me to help her work on a Short Story she needed to write for Creative Writing. She was in the Computer Lab at school and was working in Google Docs, so I was able to log in and add some ideas in real time. Some tech frustrate the crap out of me (like how texting interrupts me non-stop) and others, like this, kind of amaze me.
I finally had some free time but then Scott and I had to apply for his Financial Aid for next year. I have no idea why, but this year, his estimated Grant is only for $1000. Last year he got $5000. I hope that I entered something wrong and that it can be corrected b/c I don't know what he/we are going to do about that. I really don't get it. We have such little income, next to nothing in savings, stupid medical debt, and he only is eligible for $1000? Thank God that he goes to Community College. Can you imagine his student debt if he went to a 4-year college?
I swear, i literally (yes, using it correctly) wake up and one of my very first thoughts is how the heck am I going to pay bills? I got 2 more medical bills in the mail yesterday that I have to figure out WTH to do about.
Blerg. I am blabbering on again.
Let me shut up and finish this off on a positive note:
QOTD What three things are you grateful for today:
1. My son!!!! I really cannot believe it was 19 years ago. He is such an amazing person (stubborn as a rock, like his dad hahah!!!-- did NOT want to be born, I tried to push him for 4 hours, the dr eventually was able to suction him out!) and my goodness, my heart just SWELLS with love for him.
2. Jaida!! She makes us all laugh!!! This morning she was trying to catch her tail and somehow ended up on her back with her head on the ground and her tail in her mouth. It was like some strange yoga pose!
3. Coffee. 'nuff said :tea:
