Yipeeee!! it feels like summer!!! (and I am not prepared LOL)

I think it is going to be around 90* today and I have to get into the attic to bring down summer clothes. I have to check on the paper goods for Saturday so I better do that before it gets too hot up there. I feel bad for Gary, he is going to feel miserable all day.
Me-- I am going to be happy if very sweaty.

My spine appt got canceled. Gary took the call while I was out and the office will call to reschedule. Gary gave them permission to access my x-rays and they said that they would send prescriptions for additional ones if they need them so they can review them before the appt.
It stinks that it has to be rescheduled but works out better since I have so much to do before Saturday. It is sad that I can only plan for one 'thing" a day or I get too wiped out.
I also would like to pop into TJ Maxx today and see if I can find a decent water bottle for Scott for his birthday. He keeps stealing my stainless steel ones that keep water cold for a long time. (brat!). Maybe I can drag Cait with me, she loves that store.

I also have to get my Challenge for June prepped and the lack of mojo is making it soooo difficult.

That is about it here, have a spectacular day!

Nancy- poor Luther. Do you have tile in your house? That always seems like a cool spot the dogs like to lie on. Both of mine, especiallyJaida want to be out in the sun for hours. The bad thing is that Jaida still goes nuts when anyone walks past the house.
OMG! What a mess of a situation for your son. Good for him for taping it all and standing up to the police officer and to her. What a b****
I typically only cook one dinner with the exceptions of making accommodations for Caitlyn and meat. But one day they like something, the next day, I can go through hours of prep and no one eats it. That makes me so aggravated and I end up eating it for leftovers for the next 2 months.

How are you feeling today, Trudy? Not too sore? Was the hike nice? That is awesome about the pool and the parking!
Bunnies are really cute and make good pets but they are a *lot* of work. Cait's Bun was 5 when she died very unexpectedly but she could have lived to about 10. Sad that people don't get that and then think that dumping them is the answer.

Rae- it is an adjustment having your DH home for you and Taz LOL It took me a loooooooong time to get used to Gary and there are days that I know we both get in each others' way.
Hope that you get all of your work done and the laptop ready to go before the weekend.

Hugs to all!

Good morning - Summer has arrived. My DH got Luther out around 5:30am as it is going to be so warm. I figured Luther would not want to go with me around 8am but as soon as my DH headed out the door he was ready to walk. We had a good walk, went slow and he saw two of his doggie friends Loki, the black lab and Stella, unknown. Both of the dogs played with Luther for maybe 5 min and then it was just lay in the grass. They are smart enough to know when it is too hot! Watched hockey and it was a great game. I like games with lots of scoring. Today the USA men's team is playing Finland to see who goes to the semi-finals. Then tonight more hockey. Always fun to scrap with the hockey in the background.

Chris that is crummy about the appt being canceled. One arranges one schedule to make time and then have it canceled. Glad you have a positive attitude about it! Do not bring down all the summer clothes as this weekend we are back to the 60s. What a shock to the system to have these big changes in temps. And yes Luther stays on the cool floor in the kitchen.

Trudy can't wait to hear how the hike went! Glad the pool went well! And yes I saw the bunny brushes. They are so cute! Cant wait to find a photo of Luther chasing his bunnies. My DH said this am that a deer was on the path and just kept coming towards them even though Luther was barking and growling. These deer are afraid of nothing.

Rae it is amazing how much we like our space and schedules and when someone disrupts this, well you know. I know I love that my DH is still working. We have a big enough home that we won't really get in each other's way it is just I like my alone time. Hope the computer comes home soon!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Today is off to a bang. A huge dump of work sent (counting the hours til tomorrow afternoon when I leave until Monday) so will be as diligent as possible to get a lot done before I leave tomorrow. I don't have time to bring my PC in so it'll have to wait until next week. I'm food eliminating for Taz (again) as he is showing signs of allergies (again). He vomited a few times last week (which can happen so I was monitoring him but not completely worried until now). He has been scratching off and on for the last wk and he came home from daycare yesterday with dried blood along his mouth from scratching. I will be bringing back the new food I got for his cookie ball and the other meal enticer dried food I will put in the fridge and leave it for at least 2 wks before trying to introduce it back. It's dificult b/c I'm assuming its a newer addition to his food but it could also be a new allergy to something that was ok for him before. We were told that could happen anytime. So for now, we'll keep him on fish protein food and see what happens. Poor little guy, food is always a challenge with him.

Darrell will be leaving soon for the trailer and I'll have the house to myself tonight. I'll get as much work done as I can and get to the bank later for some US money. I put together a small bin of condiments, coffee and dog food to bring as our dollar exchange sucks so don't want to get all the groceries over there.

Chris - 90...yikes. Isn't the weather juts nuts? We're still hovering around 65 most days but early next week we are supposed to get a few days closer to 80. I just want everything to dry out. I'm tired of the rain so am looking forward to a dry spell for a week or so (unless the forecast changes).

Nancy - yes, Taz like to lay on the cool floor too but then he goes out onto the deck in the yard and lays in the hot sun or lays on the back of the couch with his head hanging down against the window, panting and squinting like he's uncomfortable yet won't move LOL. Silly dog.

Trudy - hope you had a great hike. Did you get some good photos? We had no rain yesterday so hopefully neither did you.

I'm getting to work now. Wish me luck. Hope I can stay focused and get lots done today. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning O-zies!! For some reason it felt like friday all day yesterday LOL! Thank goodness it is Thursday, it gives me one more day to myself before DH starts his 4 day weekend. It is going to be a busy 4 days of hauling soil and mulch and lot of shovelling! The sun never really came out too much for our hike yesterday, but it was a great hike, not too much for climbing and we hiked just over 10k. I felt very good afterwards and not at all tired, thank you Keto lifestyle for giving me so much more energy! I think I could have done another 5K!! Not sore or stiff today at all, but no pool today as I have lots to do around here and I need to rest my body for the onslaught of hard work coming up :becky: Poor DD had troubles with her brand new iPod not receiving or sending messages all day long, no idea why, but all of a sudden after supper it started working again :noidea:

Chris - Well doesn't that just frost you that the appt was cancelled!! Well at least you now have more time to prepare for Saturday ! Its ok to just get one thing done at a time Chris, at least you are doing it!! Yes our bunny population is booming here, dam things are in the garden every day!! I am making a page today about our bunny boom LOL. Hope your mojo returns to you soon so you can get your challenge done.

Nancy - Wow it must really be warm for you guys today, but really back down to the 60's next week??? What crazy weather!! I know the deer are the same around here too, not afraid of anything and sometimes very aggressive, they have hurt more than one small dog, but I am sure Luther could hold his own against one, mind you our Island deer are very small, not sure what yours are like. I hope that you have nice weather for you whole weekend, it looks like we are finally going to get the sunshine we have been craving!!

Rae - Sure hope that you have a lovely time at the trailer!! Enjoy the sun and soak up those rays while reading your book!! Sending positive vibes your way that the border crossing is not too long of a wait!

Well its time to get a coffee and then get into the shower, soon will be time to FaceTime with DD, Mason is in school today. He is enjoying going to school now and is so much better at getting ready in the mornings than he used to be! So nice for DD to get a break for a bit also. She will soon be busy with the new baby on these days and no more time to herself. I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday!! Enjoy the day!!

What is they say about "best laid plans"? LOL

Darrell just got back from the doctors office and has the flu/sinus infection and a fever. So we're not going anywhere this wkend. I'm ok with that. I can do some stuff around the house, do a bit of desk work if I want to ease my load next week, work on taxes and have time to scrap and watch tv. Maybe I'll try another new recipe too. I'll bring my PC in tomorrow so hopefully by the end of the wkend I'll get that back and start loading it up again. Darrell is a bit disappointed but I think he feels crappy enough that he'll just be happy to feel better hopefully by the end of the long wkend. I'll go pick up his prescriptions later and get him all drugged up.

With the gorgeous weather we're going to have, I'll be happy to get outdoors with Taz and go for a few long walks together.

Hello O's. My back is killing me today. Yesterday I went upstairs and cleaned/moved stuff in preparation for my daughters return home. The lifting/bending etc took its toll. I did got alot done. So I took a pain pill and now I am fighting sleep. I picked up a kit from Angie Young and was hoping to get a layout done....if I can stay awake!!!
