:hurt:
More insanity!!! Is there ever a way to get around it? I don't think so.
This time it is my FIL-- Campbell genes (read: stubbornness) run strong. My ILs had a tree fall down and my FIL is trying to cut branches off of it and to replace a bracket connecting the electric wires to the house. Right now, the wires are dead, but WTH happens if they become live? Ugh!
We told them to come up here but they are insisting that they are all good. My parents still don't have internet/phone/cable but at least they have electricity.
When I was done with cleaning, Gary and I chatted with the kids- Scott's birthday is next Monday and I want to know when we can at least have b-day cake for him. He has plans this Saturday, Sunday is Leah's graduation, He is working all day/evening on Monday, and he is supposed to go to PA to help my dad with the yard on Tues/Wed. Then back to working 12-hours shifts on Thurs and Friday. He insists that it isn't a big deal but I guess Finelli genes are strong in me (I get this from my mom ound: ) that I can't simply ignore his b-day.
The family then played Cranium which was really fun. The kids kicked our butts again. Scott joked that he didn't think that there was such a thing as "Sibling ESP" but now he is convinced. They guessed things that there was no logical way they should have. He even guessed one thing before she even started to draw. We decided that next time we play, we are breaking up that team to see if they are just as good separated.
Today Gary and I are bringing J and Floyd to the vet. Floyd needs more bloodwork and J needs an exam/vaccines. Should be fun. (not)
After that, I am going to work on cleaning out some clothes and my closet. It has been a long time and needs to get done. Might as well do that since I have no scrap mojo at all. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
Love to all of you!! HAGD!
