This is going to be short and sweet. I am really not doing so good over here. Feeling very very sick and exhausted. I think it is a combo of Lyme, PMS and exhaustion. Its not a pretty picture.

I am going to try to pace myself this morning so I am not totally wrecked by the time I have to leave for work at noon. Yeah, good luck with that, Faery....

Good news is all that snow never hit us here. We had freezing rain a bit and lots of wind, but no snow. Whew!!!! We might get some snow on and off today and tomorrow, but I am hoping not. Oh yeah.... I bet that barometric pressure is adding to this yucky feeling today too. No wonder. Makes sense, eh?

Anyway, I need to make sure I am all rested up and ready to party. This weekend is the big birthday bash!!!

Temptation on Thursday;
Go back to bed with my heat pack.......

Laurie- you did ok with the weather yesterday too? Good to hear that you are getting your knee checked out tomorrow.

That makes sense about the view being so different. Someone told me that before but after riding in the passenger seat for so many years, i didn;t think much of it. Guess it is different when you are paying attention to every detail.

Val- omg what a crazy day for you. Bet you were sooo happy to get home safe and sound. Is that kind of storm unusual for Iceland?

Phyllis- thanks for keeping the snow by you. *ducks and runs*
I think he is going to be ok once he settles down with driving. Two years ago a boy he knew and one of his friends were in a very serious car accident, the boy died and the girl was in bad shape for a long time. I think he is very aware of what can happen when you mess around. Its a fine line of wanting to keep him safe but not scaring him silly, but I think I'd rather scare him a bit more than not enough.

"pretty snow" (its pretty b/c it's not here with me!LOL)

Nana- your kids are going to be in school forever! ack!
Hope your scrap mojo comes back soon!

Nancy and trudy- I am running out of time but I will try to get back for personals to you. Hugs!!!!

awwwww, Chris! hope the heating pad is helping a bit. sorry you feel so badly. i SOO get the barometric pressure thing. would a hot shower help a little? ((hugs))

well, the Big Snow yesterday was actually pretty nice. it snowed like mad through the early hours, then the sun came out, all the snow fell off the trees, andi didn't even have to shovel the driveway again, because the extra inch or so melted away! perfect! i guess i can look at it as a shot in the arm for my well!

i'm going for a long-needed haircut this morning, then gonna pack for a weekend trip to visit The Grandmen. Hubby took off tomorrow, so we're driving down in the morning and staying until Sunday a.m. we'll be doing a little babysitting while The Parents get some time out in the evening. should be interesting. The Grandmen are a bit wild....

Happy Thursday, O-zies. as much as possible.:eek:hwell:

Morning O fam- house cleaning and scrapping today. Most of the snow on the driveway is gone already- between the little bit of shoveling and the sun coming out yesterday afternoon!

It's been a few days since I posted. About all I have been up to is running to and from the hospital to check on my mom and work! The good news is I leave Saturday for Hawaii to visit my daughter and her family. So thankful my sister is here to watch my mom while I am gone.

Update on my mother--she is in inpatient rehab for her hip. She is in a lot of pain and cannot determine if it is from the hip, the back, or possibly the cancer they suspect she has. The oncologist is pretty sure she has multiple myeloma and will do a bone biopsy next week to confirm the diagnosis.

Sorry I don't have time for personals. Pray that each one of you are having a great day.

Morning dear ladies... Foggy morning here, so hopefully that means the sun will come out later on today! Well I survived my husbands flu day! He was actually pretty good at staying out of my hair! I had to get get him a couple of things, but mostly he stayed in bed and slept and eventually came out to the couch and then watched some television. He is back at work today and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I do not get whatever it was that he had!!

Chris - I am sorry that you are hurting so badly today! I hope that you get to take a nice nap with your heating pad today sometime!! It is not fair that you continue to battle with those dam lyme bugs!! Wish I could zap them away for you!! :laser: At least you did not get the snow you were expecting yesterday, that's a bonus!!

Phylis - How nice that you are spending some time at the hair salon today, I love having my hair done!! I too am off to the salon today, but to get my eyebrows tinted to tidy them up a bit. I seem to have these disappearing eyebrows, good thing they don't need to be dyed as often as my hair does now!! I suppose I should really let it just go grey, but I am not quite ready for that yet. Besides who would put my hairdressers kids through college if I stopped getting my hair done? :becky: Lucky you!! You get to see your grand men again this weekend!! I am jealous!! The other grandma has mine for the week, I wonder how she is making out with them? I would FaceTime with her and the kids, but I know that she would not appreciate it (that's a whole other can of worms!) Have a great time with your guys!!

Laurie - Have a nice day off, I will enjoy mine doing some scrapping today too, that is if I can just get my mojo to come out of hiding!!

Terry - Thanks for the update on your mom! i have been thinking of you too as I am sure all of us here have been!! Sending lots of comforting love to you and your whole family! Thank goodness your sister is there to help out! Try to enjoy your visit with your daughter in Hawaii, you mother is in good hands with your sister and she would not want you to worry I am sure!! Looking forward to your Hawaii photos!

Well I better get some breakfast and some more coffee, I plan on being on the computer for most of my morning, hooray!! Wishing you all a day of pain free, creative fun!!

good morning I am happy just like Chris - no snow but this morning just flurries which are very pretty to watch. Maybe tonight 1-3 inches but by the weekend and Monday may get near 60 degrees. With daylight savings coming this weekend spring cannot be far behind. Had a lovely ladies night out for coffee or in my case hot chocolate with whipped cream. Fun catching up with all our latest news. Slept 8 hrs - guess I was tired.

Chris hope you feel better!

Phylis glad the snow did not have to be shoveled and just melted.

Trudy glad your DH was not a pain. And I truly hope you do not catch what he had!

Terry praying that all goes well with your mom. Also have a great time in Hawaii!

Have a great day!

Terry, thinking of you and your mom and hoping for strength for all of you. ((hugs))

Trudy, i'm laughing about your disappearing eyebrows. the opposite seems to be happening to me. this morning i bleached all the excess hair on my face. pitiful! :frusty:

Nancy, you have me dreaming about hot chocolate and whipped cream. could never have the hot chocolate, but i COULD have the whipped cream, if there was no sugar in it! glad you missed the Big Snow. sounds like The Weather Gods aren't finished yet, though....:smow:
