Can you believe that we are 2 months down in 2012 already?

Usually I get all stoked when we hit March . Maybe it is all of that teaching PreK of "In like a lion, out like a lamb" that makes me hopeful that spring is on its way. But its been such a warm winter, I don't have that same sense of "whew, I am gonna make it!!!" ;) But I'll still be happy because it means one month closer to gardening time.

Yesterday I was supposed to see my BFF for coffee and run errands, but we had some snow and sleet come in so we rescheduled. I was a lazy bum instead. I scrapped 2 pages. ha!! But I have a lot of paperwork and stuff to catch up on today. Gary has been really ill and cranky and that puts a cloud over the house. Scott is feeling the same and I am worried about him too. I know I have said it a million times before but it is soooo hard to figure out what is normal teen stuff, not-normal teen stuff, Lyme stuff. Man, I wish I had answers to all of that.

My plans for today are to post the new March Web challenge (yay!), I think everyone is going to LOVE this month's challenges, pay some bills (boooo!), clean for a client (boo!) and get paid (yay!!).

My Temptation on Thursday, however, is to lay under an electric blanket with heat pack on my back.

kristy-- WTG on the weight loss! Your weather sounds like ours. Its so weird!

Phyllis- PJ Day!! I used to love those, haven't had on in a while. Ugh about the ID crap. My MIL's card has been compromised liek 3 times inthe last year. Its so crazy. One good thing is that the Credit Card companies seem to be able to catch the irregularities faster and faster. Guess that don't want to be out of whatever was charged fraudulently.

Trudy-- hahaha! Love you Hot Flash Dude. Did you find a good recipe? Can you share, please??

Maureen-- hi honey!!!!! Sorry to hear that the weather isn't great for you, but liek you said, if it forces you to get R&R, its a good thing.

morning all - so much to do today, because I sat like a lump last night instead of doing my weekly home blessing. So I need to make a list, I need to cross things off- must do's and creative do's that is my list for today. HOpe your have great days today!
 
'morning, everyone. today the bedroom carpet comes, AT LAST. maybe i'll sleep in the bed tonight instead of on the family room sofa. the smell of paint in the bedroom was bothering me, but my husband can sleep through anything. even SMELLS wake me up! in the meantime, all the old furniture and drawers are in other rooms, so i'm living out of random drawers until the dressers come. probably in WEEKS.

Chris, i think i got lucky with the weather that was roaring through the MidWest/East. to the west, tornados, and now you're saying to the east you got snow and sleet. we just had wind and rain. and 61 degrees. and ugly-looking. gee. i hope your guys are able to feel better and cheer up. it's hard to function with a dark cloud following you around. wish i could give you some insight into teen behavior. both my kids were perfect kids until they hit their mid-20s, which has led me to believe that i will NEVER understand ANYTHING about raising kids.

Laurie, good luck on your must-dos and creative-dos! i must straighten up my house before the carpet guys get here or they will think the house has been hit by a cyclone.

Maureen, sorry about the rain. Hawaii does seem like a long way to go for a beach! i know i'll never see it. i'm too much a coward to even fly to Philadelphia. i hope you're feeling relaxed. it'll probably be spring at your house by the time you get home.

Morning all!

Weather here will be nice today with temps near 70. Tornadoes around us the night before, but we only had the severe storms and winds. On a positive note I now have a new play yard/swingset in my backyard........most of it anyway!.........until the neighbors down the road come to collect it back!!

Chris- Look forward to the March challenge. Hope your weather is better today too.

Laurie- best of luck on that To Do list and always nice to call them done and cross them off.

Phylis- Enjoy that new carpet and enjoy that new room when it is all put back together.

Morning ladies... Well not much to say this morning, kinda tired, not a good sleep last night. Oh well on with the day!

Chris - Sorry that your Gary is not doing well! Forget trying to figure out teenage stuff, its not going to happen! They become Janet from another Planet until they hit their 20's or later. Your challenge for March looks wonderful my friend!

Laurie - Hope you get your list done and get everything crossed off of it!!

Phylis - Hope you get to sleep in your own bed tonight! Enjoy your new carpet!

Donna - Saw the tornadoes last night on the new... how scary :scared: We don't get those here, but I did experience them in Saskatchewan, not very nice!! Hid in the basement a few times. Hope your neighbors get the swing-set from your backyard!!

Kristy - Your photo challenge looks great! I might have to try that!

Maureen - Too bad the weather is not great for you, it was like that the last time I was in Maui, disappointing!! Hope the sun comes out for you today!!

Morning peeps!
Well still morning here and I'm not in my pjs! LOL I did sleep in a bit after our day of getting soaked on and off. Dick was up much earlier than I was, not that there's anything rare about that. He is taking a bike trip down the Waimea Canyon...DOWN I said. They drive you up and you, certainly not me, ride down.

He left around 8am today to 1. look for a box to mail the used books we got for the boys' middle school and 2. Find his pickup point for tomorrow since he has to BE there at 6am and 3. See if he can rent a bike today to get a short ride in. Bike riding was the whole point of our coming back to Kauai and so far it hasn't happened.

Me? the sun is shining and I'm going to do some stuff on line, and then go sit and read a book, watch the ocean, and just Be.

Sorry to read that so many of you are having nasty weather. It has been a strange year for weather, hasn't it!

Good evening ladies. Chris, I can't believe that it is March. But, that is what the calendar says.

Maureen, pjs sounds fine to me. And I bet that you are enjoying the sunshine.

Today is Syd's 8th birthday so we are sitting at On the Border waiting for supper. My 8 year old niece is with us. So here I am on the iPad.
 
Hi girls -

Chris, I am in the southwest - southern NM to be exact. Our seasons go like this: windy, hot and windy, windy, cool and windy. ;-)

I am seriously tired. I worked 14 hours yesterday and 12 today. My brain is fried. I'll try to come back tomorrow with some personals.
