helloO and good morning from NJ! Can everyone say "Caffeine" with me? :coffee1: I am going to need an IV drip to get me through the day.
I had a long day yesterday and another one coming up today. And yes, one more long day tomorrow.
But it is all good and 100% different than the Lyme tired. The old-timers (*wink*) here will remember how I would complain every day it felt like the dump truck hit me, backed up, and hit me again and again. Bone-crushing exhaustion. Every time I have an ache or pain I panic that Lyme is back, I will focus on the fatigue instead and I'll be able to tell the difference.
If I start to talk about dump trucks hitting me-- please tell me to get to the Lyme Dr immediately. For real. Please.

The field trip was great, started a little wonky because the buses were early. The buses are *never* early especially when they are coming from the Bergen County area, right outside NYC. Never say never. :nod1: Then, the bus drivers told us that they needed to be heading back to school 45 minutes earlier than the teachers listed on the initial forms. And last, the two FT staff that are usually the point people had off. But you know what? We pulled it off without a hitch. At the end of the day, walking back to the main building we were all saying how awesome the team is.

Interestingly, we had two "injuries"--one boy in my first group fell on a rock and hit his elbow. He was double over, holding his arm. As I ran over to him, all of the things that I learned during the WFA training were going through my head. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I retained. In the afternoon, a girl in a different group tripped on the trail and landed funny on her ankle. That group leader (also at WFA this weekend) said the same thing.
We had a mini-meeting afterward (which lasted over an hour!) and I found out that I am doing a social media program about macroinvertebrates. Macro Mania, I think they are calling it. I guess they think I am qualified now that I have an official favorite macro? Or maybe that I was practically jumping up and down when a kid found a stonefly larvae. I just crack myself up over these guys!
I also impressed the kids when they told me I had a spider on my leg. I looked down, saw it was a wasp, and instead of freaking out, I used the net to slowly grab him and put him on the log behind me. No screaming necessary :rotfl:

I have another all-over-the-place day today. Grocery and pharmacy pick up, then off to my mom's. Caitlyn had to wear a heart monitor and the cardiologist (same doctor as my mom's) is 1 mile from her house. So "two birds, one handful of seed" as the animal rights activist in my house says.
Back home, dinner, and then off to CPR AED training.

wishing all of you a fantastic day!

PS: Send coffee

@vickyday I hope that you, Kim, and Ilene had a marvelous time together.♥

@bitzee It would actually feel amazing if I got stuff done and the to-do list didn't refill so quickly :giggle4: But isn't that the case for everyone? blech. :/

@BrightEyes Wow, that is a long time asleep, bet it felt great. And I hope that feeling lasted all day long. The temps here aren't awful but the humidity is *disgusting!*

@bcgal00 I saw the baby bird pics! They are so cute and fluffy!

@AK_Tracy Sweater and 50*?? Hahaha! Anything under 60 feels freezing LOL I have not done the challenge yet. Did you decide on which one to do? I'm glad that you soaked up some sun while you could.

@Cherylndesigns How was the RBG movie? I have wanted to watch it but Gary isn't interested and I rope him into many shows he doesn't care about. ((((hugs)))) as you figure out how to start watching TV without Chuck. It has to be the little things that end up so hard :hug3:
Shower planning is down to food and games!
ITA-- humidity is awful.

@Terri M If you haven't found an easy appy to make:
This is my most requested food to bring or have at parties. They do need to be heated but only for 10 minutes or so.

Guess what? I am running late again.
HAGD!!!

I'm sorry for being such an absent O. Busy weekend with the town festival and then getting to meet my scrapping friend.

That @faerywings was an absolute BLAST!! I'm always very nervous meeting new people, because, yes I can hear you laughing already, I am really very introverted. When I get comfortable I'm a total ding dong, which is the sound you've been hearing ever since I got here. She was like someone I'd known forever, I suppose it's been maybe 6 years, but we have tons in common and the hubbies hit it off like gangbusters and just sat there and listened to us and threw in sarcastic comments here and there and everywhere. They were in total agreement about the positions we held at our former scrapping home. She has now moved on to quilting, a hobby leaper after my own heart, and I came here. It was so nice of them to make the trip, and Minnesota showed them the ugly side of spring weather here with big storms and lots and lots of rain. But they did have some nice weather too. They leave today and I think they are ready to get the he## out of Dodge.

I had multiple attacks of stupid on Sunday and I mean STUPID, stupid. It took me forever to recover my database when I finally got ACDSee going again. And then when everything was in order, and new stuff was added, I didn't listen to mself, when self said, now that it's fixed, don't you think you should back it up before you make the change you are thinking about making. Once again I turned a deaf ear to self, clicked 'ok', it was so NOT ok, and blew it up even worse. It took a day and a half to get it put back together.

I've had fits of trying to start a layout about my cousin for the color play challenge, but of course 'needed' to buy some templates and color play kits. I may need to become less anal about cataloging my stuff and just doing something with it. Cataloging is the reason I kit jump so much in my layouts, maybe I need to concentrate on using one kit.

The garden stone came and it is beautiful!!!!!! It looks so good in her spot.

Today I need to pack and later this afternoon am heading to my 50-year college reunion. It's about an hour away and my good friend who I haven't seen for almost 20 years is coming and she is a blast and a half. My roommate couldn't make it which is too bad, but maybe we'll FaceTime her. I wasn't planning to go, the whole 'strangers' thing, but my friend got me thinking about it and she was excited so I took the plunge. I think it will be fun, and she will drag me around.

Did a face-plant in the street yesterday, when the toe of my sandal bit a crack in the gutter and pitched me forward. I didn't hit my face, but the palm and thumb of one hand and my left knee took a beating. My knee is really sore, but ok, not what I wanted for this weekend. They were blacktopping our street yesterday and I had an eye appt at 11. I moved the car a block and a half away at 7 and was heading for it when my mishap happened, of course directly in front of a dump truck driver, who must have thought the flying nun was out of retirement. Of course, I jumped up and looked around to see if anyone else had noticed.

I better quit babbling, busy day ahead of me. Have a great day everyone.

@faerywings That looks like a great recipe, I’m putting it my list to consider. If not today, then next time.

@JeanneMN I have to cross a railroad track in the middle of the woods to walk from my neighborhood to the trail system and every single time I worry I’ll catch my toe on something, fall down on the rails, and not be able to get up as a train approaches. Dumb, but I pick my feet up very carefully on each step, and at least no one would see me fall. Better smashed by a train than embarrassed, ha! I hope your knee heals quickly.

We are going away for the weekend and I have so much to do that I’m skipping my Thursday bike ride, and now I feel guilty. Why is going away for two days just as hard as leaving for two weeks? Off to face the laundry.

Morning all. Going to be a scorcher today... already in the 80's at 9AM... heading toward the 90's by noon and may even hit 100 by late afternoon!!! Tomorrow will be just as bad - the 1st day of the garage sale!!! Just realized that I don't have any sunscreen lotion so may try to get some today. Dug out my big brimmed sun hat along with my cropped pants, short sleeve tee and long sleeve cotton shirt. Dug out the small cooler to hold iced down water bottles and lunch sandwich. Have to stay hydrated!!! So glad DD has 3 fans we can have running and hope that is enough to keep us semi-comfortable. Don't think I will make it back in here until Sunday or Monday... depends on how I am feeling. Think I will make some Mac-and-cheese today so I can have extra for the next couple of days. Know I won't feel like cooking when I get home from the garage sale.

Need to be recovered by June 13th - 17th - for OScraps 18th Birthday Party week. Going to be lots of fun things going on then!! The Birthday Bash is always full of fun challenges and games - and other surprises.

Off to get dressed and do a few chores around the house. HAGD

Good Morning everyone!!! This is what I love the most, coming here with my :coffeedrinker: and catching up with some laughter.

When I get comfortable I'm a total ding dong, which is the sound you've been hearing ever since I got here. She was like someone I'd known forever,
Okay, I love ya Twin but the song went through my head "Ding dong the witch is dead" and no youre not a witch but oh the ding dong :floorlaugh::giggle4::floorlaugh:

Then this :giggle4: Because I totally trip all the time. I was laughing more and more and if you weren't a ding dong you wouldn't have fallen :floorlaugh: Please read all that with laughter and not mean. Cause I just picture you as the ball in the bell going back and forth till you fall. ding. dong. ding. dong. ding. plop. :giggle4: Okay maybe I need to go get more coffee and get off here.

Oh Kay, @BrightEyes stay safe. Those temps sound horrible. I would melt like a snowball in ****. And to work a garage sale at those temps. Glad you'll have a cooler of water. Maybe a sprinkler running along the side of drive so you could cool off by walking through the water.

Terri @Terri M isn't it crazy how it feels like so much work to leave, be it a weekend or month or week. Feels like so much work to do and (at least for me) the men just throw a shirt in the bag and yeah lets leave. They dont worry about anything.

Today is overcast and suppose to rain again. I am trying to relax and just flow with it and not over do it but next week I have to fill in at work all week so it will be crazy. Trying to enjoy the quiet before the crazy and I wanna hoard spoons (energy) but we all know that never really works. Going to attempt more challenges today. @faerywings Chris I did two designer challenges and then a new siggie. Not much but was fun.

Off to grab more coffee. Mentally sending some your way Chris!

Oh darlin', I was thinking of the naughty Hostess treats, which is a whole 'nother kind of witch, if I didn't have the America the Beautiful playlist on Alexa right now, I may have the witch stuck in my head to which I guess is better than the ding dong applied to my hips, which have been over developed as it is. Well, I am packed, will leave in a couple of hours. Good grief, Twin, you are amazing at the number of layouts, I'm going to try to gear myself to simple, I have such a simple mind, and I'm not quite sure why it doesn't apply to scrapping. The challenge with my cousin will have to be extra special though because she sure was. I should have some great/lousy selfies from this weekend and hopefully, some poor soul will take pity on me and take pics for me.

Oh please DONT scrap like me. I love your layouts and all the creativity that goes into them.

As for ding dong, yeah the hostess treat never entered my mind. More of a bell. :giggle4:

You are so sweet, but I would like to get to the point where it doesn't take days to do one. I've been away from it for a week now and have probably forgotten everything I finally remembered. And your layouts are wonderful so don't believe for a second that they aren't. The way you've taken off with the Art Journaling is phenomenal, I look at those and have no idea where to start. We each have our kind of unique, our kind of normal, hard to find my kind of unique in Minnesota, but I just bring it on and they can be happy in gray and navy if that's their normal.

Dont get me wrong. I love my layouts. But I dont want you to try my style as yours is amazing too! Art Journaling was crazy. We did one in ScrapGirls before they closed. It was a follow the rules type layout where we were given an item to add each day. It was scary and I followed the rules, that's where the scrap police came in :giggle4: I was given lots of suggestions to tweak and change and how to make it feel more like I was thinking. We posted previews as we went. So I keep that in mind when I create. However this last one, just leaped out of my head. It apparently was just waiting for the moment to shine and leap onto paper.

Hi my friends,

I'm just getting in here today but didn't want to miss a day.

It was pretty good, Chris - since I didn't even read the credits and finally realized that it was about her - it's pretty amazing to me. I don't normally watch shows like this (to tell you the truth I started watching it because of the title) :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:and about halfway into it (in between my dozing) I said to myself "Ahaa, this is about RGB. For me, that's a good thing. I love to get interested in shows NOT based on anything I already know. KWIM? It's a big deal for me to watch anything. Chuck used to do so much research on shows that he wanted to watch. He used to get so excited when he found something he thought I'd like. He used to say "I have a show for you that I think you're going to love."

I don't think Chuck would have liked it - so Gary might not. It's not a "guy show". LOL

Hi Everyone! I've been a little absent myself. Today Mark went back to the surgeon and has a release to return to work tomorrow. He had shoulder surgery Feb 9, and then hurt it again 3 weeks later when my mom needed help getting back into bed. That slowed down his progress immensely but Mark said he couldn't not help mom and would do it again. So any prayers for Mark to stay safe at work will be appreciated. So tomorrow I will have to myself and find a new routine. It will be my first day really home alone since about forever. I'm looking forward to it.

Ya'll are so funny!! Sitting here reading through everything and I'm laughing out loud and Mark keep saying "What!!" and I try to explain it all to him. He just shakes his head.

My problem with layouts is that I spend all my time in the threads and then I'm too tired to start a layout - so with that said I'm going to stop chattin and start scrappin!!

Hope you all have a good rest of your day!

I'm in my hotel room with a double watermelon martini. apparently I have not grown out of my college days LOL. Actually, I was a studious college kid and didn't realize there were parties until the spring of freshman year. Had fun with my 2 friends who are staying at the hotel tonight. We went to a burger joint for supper & then drove around a town I hardly recognized. Jeepers 50 years makes more of a difference than I realized. A lot of things have grown older & grown up. I'm sticking with the older & skipping the latter.

Glad that Mark is released by the surgeon. Hoping that he stays safe at work and everywhere else. My son is almost finished his PT from shoulder surgery. It definitely is a process. I don't even remember what home alone was like. Enjoy every single minute of it!!
