The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
hello and a happy Thursday to everyone!
The temps dropped overnight and now I am chilly. I need to make dog treats today so it won't be too bad with the oven on this morning.

The pups did good at the vet. Both of them were very freaked out waiting in the car. They are all up to date on bloodwork and vaccines so while it was very expensive, they should be good to go for a long time. Ray is doing ok considering she is "like a woman in her 80's" as the vet said. Several times. My poor old baby. She needs to be on two different arthritis meds now. Sucks getting old, eh?

I worked in the backyard a bit, I needed to move a hosta that had gotten covered by a larger plant. While I moving that, I ended up rearranging the left side of the rock edging in the garden. I get started on a small project, and it turns into a bigger one! The rain had ended early in the morning so the ground was soft enough to do a lot of that digging.

Since I ended up spending a lot of time outside yesterday, I have to behave and get the rest of the month's bills paid plus wrap up some things here at the O today.

Also, I know that you are being careful and wearing masks but the news coming out from many of your states is scaring me. A lot. Please please please stay home as much as you can, wash your hands, bring sanitizer and masks when you do have to leave. Tell people that you know in TX, FL, AZ, UT to do the same. Take it from us in NY/NJ- you don't want it to continue to increase the way it is.

Gratitudes:
-sun
-my vet
-my kooky family

Kay- Did you get to sleep a bit later this morning? I tend to wake up around 5.30 as the sun starts to come in. For some reason this morning, I woke up a quarter to 5 but got confused, thinking it was 6. Gonna be a long day.
Oh my goodness, that line sounds awful. I hope the sunburn didn't get too bad. It was good that you were there as early as you did and were home as it got so much hotter. I haven't tried to buy meat in a while, I still have a pack of ground turkey and some chicken cutlet in the freezer, but maybe I should try and get some now if it is going to be hit or miss again.
yay for the eye appt coming up!

Trudy- Aww, what a sweetie you are to make your DH eggs.
Did the weather hold up for your hike? Scott is the crazy one here, he will hike in any weather. me, I like it to be dry and warm LOL
hahaha!! Imagine how much more time we would have if we weren't in constant zombie mode? ITA with Kay, if you were able to get out and hike that will help you reset your brain.
You have no idea how lucky you are to have your Dr. Bonnie. My governor, along with NY and Connecticut's, are advising travelers coming into the area to self-quarantine for 14 days if they are coming from states with hug case rates. They can't constitutionally enforce it since states can't regulate travel/commerce between states but if it makes people think twice about it, I would be happy (ish). But overall the federal govt has been horrific on handling this.

Is it true that people in Canada are still getting $2000/month if they aren't of work? (Was it ever true?) We got the one-time $1200 and that doesn't even cover my mortgage.

Nancy- I am so happy that the baby birds are doing so well!!! Will you be sad when they leave the nest, I know I would be. Silly Luther, not wanting to walk with you but :high5: for going on your own.
Have you been on a bike since you had your knees done? Good luck and be careful!
I have been having dreams of going into stores but forgetting my mask. Is this the 2020 version of walking into a classroom naked? :pound:

Felis- I feel the same, I don't want people to struggle to try and figure out WTH I meant with my posts too. :D I reread my posts sometimes and I have no idea what sense my words make.
One thing I know for sure is that this virus is showing who cares about others and who does not. Sad to hear that the tennis player hasn't been caring.
That has to be a good feeling-- a weekend and days that mean something. Enjoy it!

hugs to all you!

good morning - the humidity has gone way down and soon I will be in the backyard reading. I have my sunscreen on and ready to be outside. Prepared spicy Italian sausage cheese burgers with glazed red onions. OMgosh so good. Had a nice walk with Luther as he did not think it was too hot LOL. I have found a new show to binge Bloodline. I know it is old and was on TV but I never watched it so now I can. Because it was on TV first it is not as violent as some that go directly to streaming services and I like that. My baby birds are still doing well.

Chris yes the day is so much nicer without the humidity and still have the sun and warmth. Hard to stay inside when we don't get too many of these days in the NJ summer. Believe me my sister who lives in AZ knows to wear masks and her office is very particular about how they have to have their masks on. Her family knows this too but it is when those on top in power refuse to acknowledge that masks must be worn that the damage is done. I have not ridden my bike. I need a step through bike instead of a boys bike and since stores are not open I have not gone to try and find one. But I really want to be out by the fall.

Trudy hope you had a great hike! Or if not got lots done on your projects for your sister.

Kay hope back is feeling ok after shopping and standing in line!

Felis I am totally impress how well you do write in English.

Good morning ladies!! I would have gotten here sooner, but as soon as I sat down at my computer I got a face time call from Heather and the boys. We have been talking for quite some time now LOL. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day for our very grueling hike. It turned out to be much more difficult than most of thought LOL. It was almost 12km and a good portion of it was uphill and through some pretty dense forest. The hike leader took a photo of me coming across a large fallen tree to cross the little creek at the end of the hike, its not very good, but proves that I actually made it to the end LOL. I also got some kind of a bite while we were bushwhacking to get back on one of the trails and I think maybe it might be a spider bite. My are is pretty swollen and hot to the touch, so I will have to keep an eye on it today. Needless to say my legs are feeling a bit stiff today, but the soak in the tub last night really seemed to help! It was a beautiful hike with lots of different terrain and we sat by lake to have our lunch in the sunshine. I will try to get a page done of this hike soon. So today I will do some online grocery shopping and hopefully get a pick up time of sometime tomorrow. Saturday will be spend at Butchart Gardens with my sisters for my sister Pam's birthday. Really looking forward to the day, so hopefully it does not rain like they are calling for :mmph:

Chris - Glad to hear that the dogs did well with their vet visit and now are good to go for quite some time! Poor Ray! Yup getting old really does suck!! Yes it is true that Canadians who have lost their jobs because of Covid19 continue to get $2000 a month, however they must prove that they have not been able to work and if caught lying they will have to pay it all back plus they will be fined. At some point the Gov't is going to have to check up on all these people. Some have already paid their money back, because it was set up that anyone who applied originally were automatically getting the money. So lots of fraud. It will bite them in the butt later for sure! Still nice for those who honestly can not find work. Scott would have loved this last hike I bet and ya I don't like to be wet when I am hiking either.

Nancy - How nice that you can get out to the backyard and do some reading! So glad that the humidity is way better for you! Gary and I love the show Bloodline, but after the end of the 2nd season we got tired of it. The first season is the best of course! I hope that you have fun watching it!

Well my banana loaves are ready to come out of the oven, they smell so good! Got to get the bed made yet and then I will be off to the craft room to get some more done on the large sign I am doing for SIL. Have a great day everyone!

I was up early today for a quick trip over to the library @ 9M to pick up the new Kay Hooper's "Hidden Salem" that I had put on reserve. Couldn't figure why it was showing 'On Hold Shelf' in my on-line account for 3 days with no call from them to set up an appointment... so I called yesterday. Turns out that returned books had to be held in the library for 3 days before they can be checked out. Think it has to do with sanitizing them. Then had to stop to pick-up a few things [like milk] before heading back home. Did a happy dance as they had the large white Soft Soap refills back in stock. Can't find the Fruit of the Earth lotion anywhere... and it is the one that works better for me.

I was lucky... the sunburn was light and hasn't been itching at all... just a hint of redness now. Whew... Got a call from GI to setup a phone appointment with the GI doc - will be in mid-July. Waiting on a call back for the bone-density appointment.

May make another apple cobbler or apple crisp as I have several apples that need to be used up soon. Been out of desserts for over a week except for ice cream. It is always so nice to have some in the freezer for when I get a craving for something sweet.

Chris, glad it was a bit cooler and you got to work in the yard some. LOL over how a 'small' chore turns into a 'large' one before you know it. Good save on moving the hostra plant. Glad the vet visit went okay.

Trudy, I know how quickly time can pass when you are having fun chatting with family or friends. Wow... that was quite a hike! Congrats on finishing it but sorry you got a bite. Hope it clears up soon.

Nancy, nice that Luther was willing to go on a walk. Glad you got to sit outside and read a bit. Wonderful that you found a series you haven't seen so it gives you something 'new' to watch.

Need to get a couple of tubs of BBQ pork divided into individual containers and into the freezer. Think I will have a BBQ pork sandwich with candied sweet potato and pecan topping for supper tonight. Sounds yummy - just have to nuke it and indulge. LOL

Good afternoon everybody. It's hot, hot, hot here - feels like 110! Actual temp is only 95! Took my dog for a shorter walk than usual because she gets so hot! We're taking shorter, more frequent walks when it gets this hot. Poor thing, she's walking in a fur coat.

I've been meaning to tell you all that I'm not a morning person - I'm a terrible night owl, so you'll probably notice that I'm posting in the gallery, etc. at all hours of the early morning. LOL The later in the day it gets, the more productive I become.

Hope everybody is having a good day so far. I'm still pretty unsure of what I'm doing but I'm trying to "feel my way around".
