CHEERY O
Hiiiiii, lOvely ladies! Happy Juneteenth, too! ♥

I am going to begin my day with love in my heart and the sun in the sky.
As for the rest of it, we'll see.

My day got a little turned around yesterday. I woke up and my foot was killing me. The top of it, near my toe joints, was swollen and painful when I bent my toes. Yeah, it hurt with every step. I think it's still residual **** from the break and boot. My ankle is 100% fine, but of course the darn foot can't be completely better. *grrr*
I was supposed to clean for my friend after the vet appointment, so I switched to Friday instead. I tried to stay off my feet and ice it as much as I could. Thankfully, I suppose, I wasn't at the vet's for very long. The appt and diagnosis were pretty much as expected. Vet said that if it were an ear infection, she would have shown improvement by now. There is no way to tell definitively if it is a pituitary tumor but all indications point to yes. He gave her a low-dose cortisone shot to minimize the swelling but basically said to make her happy and comfortable. :brokenheart:
He also checked Pigeon's new lump and it is a tumor, not an abscess or cyst. :brokenheart: :brokenheart:
Not great news at all.
Cailyn is moving the babies into the big cage today. Mouse will have plenty of places to hike out from them if she wants. Piggy has been having fun with the little ones. They were squished in a tissue box together and the babies were grooming Pigeon. So adorable. :)

I am working this afternoon, but no hiking so that is a plus. I am helping Lauren with a BSA Merit Badge, this is my first time doing one. Scott is coming for dinner tonight which makes me happy. I miss him a lot. I've barely seen him in almost a month. Maybe more? No matter, it will be great to catch up.

HAGD!

Yesterday was a very upsetting morning!!! Read all about it in the Chatter - under Latest Scam. I did not fall for it but it did scare me so bad I was shaking for most of the morning!!!
I am so glad that DD was OK and that you figured out it was a scam quickly. (wish my dad thought the same thing last year, pfft)
These scams are getting trickier to spot. they really play on your emotions and I'm happy you saw through it.
I almost fell for an email scam- It was from Optimum - my internet provider- and it was sent right before my payment due date. The email address looked correct and the account # looked correct. The only difference was that the amount was twice as much as I normally pay. That got my heart pumping-- exactly what they wanted from me. I almost clicked the link and thank god I didn't. I logged into my account from the website and it was the regular amount. It was crazy how identical the scam was.
I don't know if I could keep calm if scammers were able to clone one of my kids' voices. Mama Bear Instinct would kick in- again, exactly what they want.

The good news was the chairs arrived...
Pictures!!!!!! (please :D)

Its sunny again today. Should be a good day to read outside. Suppose to be low 70°s today. Makes me want to do laundry just so they can hang outside to dry.
You crack me up! If I tried to hang laundry outside today, it would be wetter than before. The humidity is disgusting.
Wow @faerywings Love your green thumb page! good luck with sick rat.
OMG your day at work yesterday sounds scary and so dramatic. I give you so much credit dealing with all those kids and you didn't even loose any.
TY about the LO and thoughts for Mouse.
120 kids are a lot. They were funny, though. They were from an urban school district and were both fascinated and terrified by the wildlife. Lauren announced to them that a mama bear gave birth to 4 cubs last week on the property (OK, I will fully admit, I adore the idea that we have a mom and 4 cubs, but also 100% terrified to come between them). She asked the kids what they should do if they saw them and they either yelled run away or fight them. :rolleyes1:
The kids were so loud that the mama was not going to come out of her den voluntarily. hehe.

Are you feeling the FL-type weather today? Feels like NJ is going to get there in the next few days. I saw we are going to be in the upper 90s next week. Now I don't mind the heat but that is unheard of and is way too hot to work outside.
Good morning ladies. I'm home today, no games, will take the dogs for their yearly wellness check at a new vet so hopefully the dogs like it there. I'll bring treats in case they don't leave any out (but if they don't, that is a strike against them IMO). I will get a scrap page done today and then back to jewelry design. My next market is in 2 wks and it'll be a big one, they estimate over 2500+ people attending. I think next year I will only book 3-4 markets for the summer months so I won't be as busy. I'm a bit worried about how much I sell at this next big one b/c I still have 3 more so might still need to stockpile a bunch more. No complaining b/c its fun and I'm learning lots and making money but still...I need to enjoy the rest of my life too. Life sure isn't boring :)
I am with you about the treats- make the pets as comfy as you can. The vet techs will crumble up a bunch of pupperonis just to get J on the table and then we keep shoving them in her mouth so she doesn't throw herself overboard.LOL
That is a ton of people at the craft market- is it outside or indoors? Lots of good selling vibes~~~~
What places are you thinking about for the next trip?

:crying1: :D You're right! I feel like a big sopping mess no matter what. This morning with the humidity and peek of sun at 5:30, I pullied up my shade and the window was totally fogged over, my goodness.... And here we go with the heat now. :waving2::heartpumppink:
My windows are all fogged up too! The upcoming heat wave sounds like it will be brutal. I honestly don't think Its even been predicted to be 99° here. I get a free membership to the pool that is partnered with Weis but I don't think they are open during the week until July. Too bad, it would be worth going to cool off.

xoxoxoxo!

Yes! The humidity and fogged windows it unreal and yes, predicted to be high temps today. My town pool has been open for weekends since Memorial Day but almost all days have been a wash. They open on Saturday for summer session and then Monday for the summer. But, not until 12pm, by then I'm melted.
I'm sorry your pool opens so late, that's crazy, come on down! :beach2:

Good morning Lady O's warm sunny day today.

Wow when I said I was bringing heat from Florida to the Northeast I didn't mean this much.

@faerywings I'm so sorry that foot is causing you so much pain..I hope it improves and doesn't flare up again.
4 baby bears===wow like Bear 399 in Yellowstone/Grand Tetons I just posted a page of the bear from my trail-cam from our last campsite.
Sorry for the bad news about the rat.

So @OBirthdayfairy posted a chatter about nuts then @Amandajk put a pic of a pistachio muffin so that's all I could think about. Yesterday we went to grocery store and 2 fell into the basket...it's delicious.

Yesterday it stopped raining so Reed was able to mow the lawn here so when he was done he was allowed to ride his quad so he was so happy. Last night we met granddaughter for dinner and we had fabulous pizza --pizza and bread in Florida is not great they say it's the water so I love it up here. After dinner SIL texted us to come over for a drink and chat so we did..what a fun time with them and oldest grandson. Tonight we have plans to meet old marina friends for dinner so that will be fun we haven't seen them in 2 years.

Got to get my day started. Best to all

Good morning ladies. I am off to a ladies luncheon today and then will head to the grocery store but first need to figure out what I need to get for the potluck dinner tomorrow after mexican train at the seniors ctr. We get very little rain here in southern Alberta but for a few days we are expected to get more than I've ever seen here. Other than getting the dogs outside, I'll stay indoors this wkend. Jen brought some of our old jewelry into Calgary yesterday to a gold buyer and came home with $1000 for us. It was old stuff I haven't worn in 30 yrs or so and didn't think it was worth much. Darrell and Jen went to Home Depot and bought a new fancy electric charged lawn mower. Since Jen does the mowing for us, she was thrilled. It is a self propelled high performance mower so she's very happy about it.

I gave Jen some gold necklaces that I had from the 70's and she is going to enjoy wearing them. I kept 3 gold bracelets that I am going to add a few charms to and will wear those along with my beaded bracelets, should mix/match nicely.

I'm still getting the meal delivery kits every wk to supplement my cooking and its working out well. I also am enjoying the produce delivery I get every wkend too. I hardly ever have to go to the grocery store now. I discovered that I like bok choy, I halved it and sauteed it in an asian flavored oil. I mixed it with baked baby potatoes, carrots, snap peas and green peppers, sprinkled with nutritional yeast, garlic, red pepper flakes and honey. I haven't been eating meat much, only once or twice a week so have really upped my veggie intake and have been eating more fruit too. I put pomegranate in my salad and really enjoyed that so am looking for more salad recipes that incorporate that.

@faerywings Enjoy the dinner with Scott. No hiking sounds like a good plan and hope the foot feels better soon. We haven't figured out where to go yet but possibilities are the British Isles, Norway, Iceland, Portugal, Greece. What may help decide is if we get a good sale. Everything is so expensive now so we have to be smart about our trips. We'll figure it out.

@BoatLady Enjoy your fabulous summer plans.

Time for one more coffee before heading out with Remi. HAGD everyone.

Morning, all. It maybe a US Federal Holiday (Juneteenth) but trash and recycle pick-up is happening today. Banks and local libraries are closed today. I missed going yesterday so will have to do that tomorrow. Had the yard clean-up guy came by - gave me a quote that I can live with - he will be back next Thursday to do the work... :claphands: dance4:girldance: So things are moving right along on that front.

Here is a photo of the new chairs around the kitchen table... They are comfortable and love that there are no arms to get in the way and hit the sides of the tabletop.
IMG_3582.JPG

Right now, the old chairs are filling most of the floor space in the living/dining room. I am still gathering stuff for the bulk haul-away in the 3rd car garage area but having to leave a path to the garage door. Hope to have all that done within the next couple of weeks - depending on when DD#3 and her sons can help.

We are still in the heat-wave - upper 90"s from noon on - for the next few days. We might get some rains next week and be back to the low-90's which is normal for this time of year. Thank goodness we don't have high humidity along with it.

Off to get my shower and dressed for the day. Hope to work on a couple of kits this afternoon. Will check back in later on.

Oh, I'm so glad. We have to drive 2+hours to find a store that carries the muffins, (one of the reasons we are moving. not the muffins, but the availability of more than pork/BBQ/ biscuits and sweet tea. :giggle4::giggle4::giggle4:
