Happy Thursday to you! I hope that the day finds you well.

I have good news. The shore getaway has been booked and this is the hotel we are staying at:
Breakers-Hotel-1.jpg
Now all I need to do is have the weather be as pretty as it is in the photos. No hurricanes or tropical storms this year, please.

Besides cleaning, I have no idea what I did yesterday. Nope, I remember one thing I did. I had to replant my eggplant plants. Gary let the dogs out on the leads and wasn't watching them. W got tangled and ended up in the small garden and was digging in the dirt when I went out to rescue her. The good thing turned out that as I was replanting them, I noticed that my zucchini had white powdery mildew starting. I treated them with baking soda and water and hopefully, that will help. My bee balm gets that a lot so I spritzed them, too. I will have to redo that for a few days but today it is rainy so I am not sure if it makes much sense to bother.

Today is more cleaning here. I need to deal with my office area. I also need to run out and get the referral for the PT from my Dr.

Have a great day!

(PS: More good news from yesterday- the septic people got here right before left. *Perfect* timing!)

Nancy- OMG- what a mess Transit is. I am still so mad at Christie for killing the ARC Tunnel project. I don't know if that would have helped your husband's commute but I imagine it would have helped the entire area.
I saw that the Bruins lost (Sorry T! ) but I hope that the game was overall a good one. Do you have a countdown until the pre-season starts?

Kay- Glad that you got my hug  It was a great LO, very powerful. Lynne's kits are always inspiring to work with. Congrats on the scrapping mojo being so strong this week. It always great when you are wowed by a page. :cheer2:

Dogs need to go out-- BRB!
Ha. J took one look at the rain and said "Nope!"

Trudy- So sorry that the Bruins lost. Was the game a "clean" one to watch at least, no silly missed calls by the refs?
Tacos??? Easy?? Are you batty? Tacos are the biggest PITA! :pound: What did you end up making? I am sure that whatever you did, you had a nice visit with your friends.

Kay- the story of my life-- calendar challenged.... ;)

Felis- I hear ya. Certain bugs, like spiders, are my friends and I will do whatever I can to move them, not kill. Ticks and fleas, no mercy! That stinks that you can't get the right meds for the animals. It is so expensive and I understand how even a small discount makes a big difference. We switched to the oral tick and flea preventative because the Frontline topical stuff was hurting their skin. It is more expensive but worth it for their sakes. Good luck trying to find the stuff that you need for the fur-kids.
Maybe with the rain today, I will be able to scrap a page of the cows from the Sanctuary.

xoxo

good morning - what a yuck day! It is pouring rain. And I need to go to the grocery store. I may postpone until the rain lets up. This is just disgusting. Fortunately my DH got Luther out before the rains came. I made to wellness swimming before the last hockey game of the season. I needed to be doing something before the game. I found it nerve racking to wait so I cant imagine how the teams deal with the wait. Trudy so sorry! The refs were great and there was only one penalty called and it was early in the game. Boston came out flying and the Blues goalie stood on his head to keep the game at 0-0. Once St. Louis scored the first goal it seemed that they just seem to feel better about themselves and then Brad Marchand of the Bruins made a horrible mistake that led to a goal with only 8 sec left in the first period so the Blues had a 2-0 lead. I am not blaming Marchand as it is a team game. It was just a glaring mistake late in a period. But for the Blues it was the first ever Cup win! You sort of have to be happy for a team that has never won in their whole existence 51 years. Boston had the best players but in the end the Blues had the best team. I felt so bad for my former Devils. Today is my first day of the next season and it cant come soon enough. First on June 21 I have the 2019 Draft which the Devils have the first pick. Then the rookies camp will be held. Then in Sept preseason. As much as I want hockey back I really want to enjoy the summer.

Chris that hotel is gorgeous! I am hoping for no bad weather! Oh no having to replant but glad you found the mildew and could get it caught before too bad. Is there mildew from the all the rain we are getting? Enjoy the scrapping time today.

Trudy I am so sorry for you and your friends, especially your Gary. It sucks! My poor Marcus Johansson and John Moore.

Kay it is awesome when scrapping mojo is high. Have fun with the oldie but goodie kits. And now you get to enjoy your luncheon!

Felis I am a fan of bugs as long as they are outside I pay them no mind but if they come in my house they don't survive. For some reason spiders just freak me out. Last night watching the game one spider came spiraling down from the ceiling right in front of me and well lets just say it did not end well for him. But you are right mosquitos, fleas, ticks that carry disease are the worst. One of the first projects I worked on was a streptomyces that produces the active ingredient in HeartGuard. I had a small part but each time I use it for my pets it makes me feel good. I hope you can find a vet that will get you the correct medicine for your pets!

Have a great day all!

Guess I didn't make it here yesterday. It was a lovely day and the senior center genealogy group met in the afternoon. We had dinner at home and watched the hockey only to come up short, sorry Trudy! Today my mixed media art class starts the summer session and I'm looking forward to that. It is cooler and will probably rain some more.

Chris, never thought dogs and gardens mixed well and the eggplants sure agree with that. Hope they stay replanted and the mildew is gone on the others. Hope you get the sanctuary pix from Cait. That hotel looks super!

Nancy, you do have the coming hockey season schedule down! Now to enjoy the summer. What are your trip plans?

Felis, two layers of sun screen and insect repellent always leaves me unhappy too. But needed. Frankly I'm not too sad that I spend less time out in the wild anymore.

Kay, your scrapping mojo is super. Have fun with the senior luncheon.

Trudy, hope your visit with friends wasn't too overshadowed by the loss. So sad, but hard to not be impressed with the Blues story this season.

Cheers, everyone!

Have a couple of minutes before I have to leave for the senior's luncheon.

Chris... that looks like a fabulous place for a vacation. Hoping the weather cooperates and is wonderful while you are there. Sorry the pets dug in the garden so you have to replant... but glad you discovered the start of mildew on the other plant.

Jean, glad you had a good time at the meeting. So nice that your mixed media art class is starting soon.

Felis, I hear you about having to apply all the stuff just to go outside.

Nancy, sorry about the rain interrupting your plans.

Trudy, glad your friends are visiting but hope the sorrow doesn't overwhelm everyone during the visit.

Gotta run... CYL

HI girls! Today was my haircut day, I shorten it few inches, because of this hotness and all body products that is not much sexy your hair to wiped. We all had lovely day and go out for dinner in friends.
When came back we found big part of our cups broken. My sister suppose that some animal is get in, but door was locked and window net is whole; I told earthquake, because was hear it from you  , but no one was feel something like that; mom say it's maybe air flow, when we are closed the door because the window was left opened; and dad just pragmatically murmured us, because we are put over weight on the shelf and he found one screw broken which is made something as slide. Was comical and tragically at the same moment! And the poor cup with little chicken, was broken on little pieces and the chicken murdered, I'm so sad about that. We have few other cup shelves, because my family is enthusiast in collecting promotional cups. I'm scrap about that in past, but now gives me new idea for the One Word challenge. And they say that broken glass brings good luck, so something very happy have to come!

Chris, the hotel looks very nice, but most important is the place around it to be nice too. I hope that you'll have one fun vacation! So well deserved! Sounds as the dog actually is make you favor and help you to find the problem with the mildew and save your plants on time! :D

Kay, have fun on the luncheon!

Jean, oh the new session of your art class is sooner than I thought, that's great news, have fun on it!

Nancy, I can imagine the excitement from the upcoming hockey season, but definitely like your decision first to try to enjoy on summer fully! Wow, first won in 51 years, this is really something that deserve to be cheering and celebrate!
