hey there, O-Fam, how are you all doing this fine morning? I am wiped out. I have been sleeping worse than usual with so many weird dreams. Can't imagine why, it's not like there is much going on in my life. *winks* LOL It's funny (strange funny, not ha-ha funny) that my day-to-day is 100% boring but I feel like I am having an existential crisis for the past couple of years. Too bad I am not rich, it would be the perfect excuse for me to go out and buy myself a cute little 2-seater convertible.
My BFF and I were hysterical at her mom's. She brought boxes and bubble wrap so we grabbed a box and stared at it- just stared. We could not figure out how to unfold the flat cardboard and refold it into a "box shape." We examine the directions, gave it a few tries, and failed spectacularly. At one point, she texted her DH and all he could say was "Really??"
We were laughing so freaking hard that two college-educated women could not follow the little diagrams to put it together. That was how the day started and I think that helped take a lot of the pressure off her. We popped in to visit her mom in the medical rehab place and then set up some dishes/mugs/etc in her new room. Plus we bagged up three contractor bags of garbage. We put in a good dent.
Caitlyn had an active shooter drill training yesterday at work and her co-workers nominated her to be the first "shooter." She was supposed to yell something before she started shooting, so she apologized/yelled. Wish I could have seen that.
Actually, no. I am glad that I didn't have to watch her being part of that drill.
I bet all of you Canadian/EU/UK ladies are shocked that we have active shooter drills. It is pretty pathetic that is what counts as part of everyday life here. Did you also know that you can get bulletproof backpacks for your kids? Pathetic...
Off to clean today and then I have to catch up on some scrapping. It looks like it is going to rain so that will be helpful, no excuses that I would rather be outside.
Ugh, I am running late
xoxoxo!!!
