Happy Thursday and good morning/afternoon/evening to you all! I think today will be the last day of the heat wave. It isn't the heat, it is the humidity. According to NWS, it is 71* with 97% humidity. Yuck.

Caitlyn and I are off to the walk/yoga session in a bit- will we come back in liquid form, perhaps? :rain:

xoxo!!

good morning - another hot day and lots of humidity. I finished the Kevin Kwan books about Crazy Rich Asians. They were a fun summer read. Watched the Macy Fireworks and they were great. Had fun watching tennis and some Hallmark movies and some baseball. Got in one walk with Luther early and a quick game of fetch in the evening. Today my DH has him out on a walk. Today is pretty low key.

Chris have fun at yoga. Your GSO page was awesome. Hope you have a great day.

Trudy hope the pool was fairly empty and you had a good swim. Sounds good to have such a good night's sleep.

Rae so glad you are busy and finding time for B.

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies... It is cloudy and looks like :rain: today. I had a nice afternoon of just being on the computer and finally got that page finished that I have been working on for a long time. But I am pretty happy with it, it is always fun to do the 52 Inspirations Challenge! Not much happening here today, I am ordering some photo prints that I want to put in my frames in the kitchen, they haven't been changed for months. Other than that I don't have much more to do except bring the suitcases up from the crawl space and start deciding what to pack. Yikes only 4 more sleeps!! Oh and great news... Our Son passed his french exam!! He has been doing this course for two years now and can officially say that he can speak fluent Parisian French. We are so proud of him!

Chris - Ugh that humidity sounds horrid! I am happy for you that this will be the last day of your heat wave! I hope you enjoy your yoga walk and hopefully you won't come back in the form of a big sweaty puddle LOL. I see you have been doing some more scrapping too, I really love the page you did for the White Space challenge! I hope that the photo kept you feeling cool while you were working on it!

Nancy - I really need to look up those Kevin Kwan books and perhaps get them downloaded to my Kobo for the time I am in the air :plane: The pool was noisy with all the kids having a blast in the wave pool, so cute! The lap lanes were fairly empty though and I did have a nice swim. I just might go again today, I seem to sleep better after my swim days. Enjoy your low key day today! Stay hydrated!!

Rae - I hope you managed to get all your work caught up and that you had a lovely visit with B! So nice that you can get up to see her and spend time with her! What will you do if she is moved to Kelowna? Well I guess you will deal with that when the time comes. It is more important that she finally gets the good care she deserves!

Jean - How nice that you found a good spot to have dinner, watch TV and keep cool too! I hope that your heat wave is over soon also! Have fun with your prep for your talk on the 14th I know it will be interesting! Yes we are getting excited for our trip, but poor DH is suffering with his knee pain, so hopefully he will do ok with all the walking we will be doing, he is finally ready to get the replacements done, so his pain levels must be pretty bad. I keep trying to get him to go to the Dr. for some better pain killers, but he is one stubborn guy!! MEN!!!

Felis - Oh no I am sorry that you are having difficulty with one of the challenges! Do you use google translate at all? It might help with reading the rules. I hope you get it all figured out!

Well it is so gloomy looking outside that I wish it would just rain already!! At least then I wouldn't have to go out to water the back garden LOL. I am off to find the photos I want to get printed out, it could take a while as I have a mess of them to go through. Have a wonderful day everyone and drink lots of fluids today!

I am back for a bit, I need to post a bit here, then lunch, then off to clean.
Yoga/walk was nice! It is a meditation walk- we do some breathing/guided meditation, then walk through the Botanical Gardens mindfully. We get to a gathering spot and discuss any thoughts we want to share, do some yoga poses to reinforce the theme and then on to the next area and do the same. The theme this week was self-care. Pretty important topic and one that I needed to focus on today.

I am going to do quick personals from yesterday and then off to the gallery for a bit.

Trudy- hahaha! 8.30 is about my bedtime too. I hope that you enjoyed the day and that you got in some good pool time. I need to have a better system of finding things in my stash as well as in the Shop. I seem to spend more time looking for things than actually scrapping. where you able to get your pages done?

Maybe it won't be as humid there and will cool off for you overnight.

Nancy- The storms were bad just south of us, the diner that Brendan and Cait were at lost power, but we didn't get any rain at all. yesterday OTOH- we had some crazy storms come through. Gary was watching the tree during them very warily.

Hi Rae! Hope everything is doing ok for B!

Jean- have you cooled down a bit? Good idea to go out for dinner with AC! Thank you for the compliments on my LO! I was pretty happy when I got the GSO! *pats self of the back*

Felis- sorry about the challenge! Hope it won't take too much to fix it.

Still hot and humid but should end after today. Sometimes it just feels like I can hardly breathe and head is foggy. Makes scrapping and anything else hard. Have to go to the library where they have a book I requested on the Mexican War (in the 1840s). That will get me some more A/C.

Felis, so sorry about the challenge confusion! Wish you could find a better way to translate the instructions. Hope otherwise your week is going well.

Chris, your yoga/walk sounds good for you and didn't quite reduce you to a puddle. Have you gotten to talk to the neighbor about the tree yet? Seems worrisome as is.

Nancy, still lots of fun sports for you and Luther will be happier soon when it cools down a bit.

Trudy, how fun to switch the photos. Bet you'll want ones from Paris later on. Ugh, the packing phase is upon you. Not the most fun part, but wow, only 4 sleeps!

Rae, hope your week's work has slowed and you are getting to relax a tiny bit.

GOOD morning, my dears!
I can't believe how fast times fly and this wonderful week is just in its end. Today my sister comes back and we will go to take her from the station. I probably wouldn't be around at the next few days so wish you wonderful weekend you all!

Oh yes about the challenges, I'm not so egocentric to think that they put this new red warning note because of me, but yeah it looks like I'm often misunderstood something. I need to repeat that once again, sorry if I make you to struggle with my bad english, I don't mind if you skipped my post in days when no needs from headache!
I start to get it that the idea is we all to scraplift the same page, same song, postcard and ect. I'm the daughter of anarchy and don't deal well when "my life were shaven and put into a frame". But at least this gives me excuse to make more pages. And this "you can claim your challenge points fairly [/o]" ouch! this hurts. I was thinking that the BIG idea is to use as much kits as it's possible, not just to satisfy some instructions. I'll have to adapt to the other's point view.

Anyway! Let's go to the personal, because I'm miss few days:

Chris, ughh, I'm ashamed but I was kind of prepared that it will happen at this way: I'm always very excited about the self-care at the beginning of the year when is cold and cosy, but with first spring warmer I forgot about yoga and everiting else. Glad you had funny time with Cait! And I bet you are received many naughty winks from other runners :) .
Congrats for the GSO!!! I know that this things not impressed you much, but it's a big thing, believe me. I'm confused, so you need to pay someone to remove tree?! Can't you just go and cut it, as man always is do from the beginning of the ages?! To get permission first, yes it make sense, but to have pay to others, that sucks. We have similar book "Diary from the battlefront", but in opposite style it's sad and dark and I want but still don't can find motivation finally to sit and to read it. So happy that nothing bad happened! History is to prevent humanity from mistakes not to encourage new. You aren't mentioned how was the Independence Day celebration. I hope that fireworks didn't disturbed the pets much! Did the kids was out to watch them?

Nancy, in this hot time most owners go out early and we also start to meet more other dogs on our walks. I have one question for you. I saw this online at yours dog daycares centers and we takes one. But none of my pets want to use it. Except one cat wich drinks from it. I realise that Luther is too big for such a thing, but probably you knows from the daycare place how they convinced them?!

(these pics are from pixaby) Thanks for advice! If any of the other girls also have ideas, please share!
WOW, the bark off tree must looks spectacular! Is it near to your home, are you go to see it? It must been very strong thunderstorm.

Trudy, congrats for your son's exam! Do you print your photos at home? Oh, and don't forget to make a playlist on your phone for the Paris! Do Heather found already new time for yours face time?! She is not stop calling because don't want to listen for Paris, I hope!
No, this 'moving' that I have to do, for which I complaining all the time is just metaphorical. Right now I'm on a point life when I feel completely happy and satisfied from all I have, so I'm in lazy, Standby mode. I've always been critiqued from my mastermind teacher at the collage that I'm not enough ambitious, and unfortunately she was right. I can stay in this routine forever, but I'll have to move to next level soon, no matter how less I want it. My financial position is kind of messy after few bad decisions which I took at the past few years. It's time to make cardinal changes, but I still procrastinate hoping that everything will be resolved by itself, somehow :shy: .

Jean, I'm with you about the hot weather, here is not humid, but still is unpleasant. After today's dog walks I'm just fall a sleep at the yard on the garden swing. I swear this heat takes all my power! Mom laugh on me because she is so energetic, today even mow her and more than half of my part from the yard too. Under the shining sun :eek2: ! She kidding she is born for beach! I'm happy we are at the forest, so at least the nights are nice. So to stay with book sounds best decision to me! How's going preparation for your talk on the 14th?!

Rae, :hello: !

I better go now, because I have to get shower and go earlier to my friend, because yesterday was the final of Humans and I can't wait to watch it! She promised her boyfriend to PVR it, so she to watch it with me for the first time, but I told her to not do it, personally I can't resist to wait. :cofbath:

Hellllllloooooo!! I have been uber absent because of a shorter than wanted notice that our landlord wants to sell...we are now in the new place, but my computer is quite a ways off from being set up, unfortunately....I am on my phone right now. I am quite happy with the new house we are renting, so far, issues as expected, but we are out in more of a country area, so that is awesome, and it is way more space for our money :) Just a quick check in, love you chicas <3
