GoooOd mOrning my lOvley O-Fam!

How was everyone's day yesterday? Did you all have a good day off and enjoy the fireworks if there were any by you? Ravyn sure did not enjoy them. She was shaking for most of the night. I tired to get her to come up onthe bed with me, but she just smooshed herself into the corner of her dog bed and cowered. I guess that is better than harley- she would try to burrow herself under me, no matter that she was a 50 pound dog.

It was a quiet day for me here. I did some house cleaning of my own and then scrapped a few pages. Burgers on the grill and some Dr Who on the TV machine.

Not sure what I am going to do this morning, maybe some yard work before I head out to a client's this afternoon.

Make sure you say Happy Birthday Laurie ...

have a wonderful day!!!

Temptation on Thursday:

Would it really be so financially bad for me to book an island vacation when I have no money? :phone:
Yeah, I guess it would.... :D

It sure was quiet inhere yesterday. I hope everyone was enjoying the day!

Laurie and Phyllis- you all know me, my fur-babies are part of my heart forever. I never thought I would get over the pain of losing Harley. This past birthday was the first in 17 years that she was not with me.She was my b-day gift in 1995! I still miss her although it doesn't hurt as much. As my vet said, its the best kind of love there is.
I hope that your pain eases as well, Laurie.

That is so cool about your strawberry plants and the runners. I love when plants multiply :D

Hope that you got better sleep last night Phyllis

Trudy, either a whip for the boys or a burka for Cait!

xoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!

It hit 101 here yesterday and we are supposed to be at 102 or 103 for the next couple of days. Then on Sunday it is predicted to drop to 86..then start climbing back to the mid-90's next week. Ugh...just too hot for me!

Hope you all stay cool today!

Morning ladies... I can't believe its Thursday already!! The days just fly by don't they? Finally got to enjoy some summer like weather yesterday and it looks like its going to stick around for a few more days Hooray!! Went for a nice long walk after work and then sat on my deck to read for a bit in the afternoon only to listen to the neighbors dog howl and yelp for hrs on end. Its a young dog and not used to being left outside while the owners are away. When they get home they say sorry for the yelping but they are trying to train it to stay out while they are gone. Excuse me??? Not fair that the whole neighborhood has to listen to that!! I love animals but is this going to happen everyday?? Hopefully its a fast learner, but I have my doubts!! Trying to be an understanding neighbor, but I like my peace and quiet!!!

Chris - Looks like your mojo returned home to you! All your pages yesterday were gorgeous!! How nice that you had some time to just scrap yesterday!! Enjoy your garden this morning!!

LindaS - Oh my your heat wave is continuing!! Tooo hot for me also, but I could stand a few days of it, we are still not all that warm here. Just enjoying the sunshine instead of the downpours we have been having for weeks here! Hope your air conditioner is working well!!

Well better get some breakfast and off to work for my 4hrs... I love it!!!

Trudy. check your dog laws, then use them. i am a BIG dog lover, but i have NO patience with people who let theirs dogs howl and bark for longer than about 10 minutes. i always believed that it's the OWNER who is the prob in that case, not the dog. and owners like that drive me NUTS. it drives me crazy when people ignore that they live in a community of OTHER people. oooo. i'm a meanie!:argue:

Linda, we're not as high as your temps are, but getting up to maybe 98 today and tomorrow. this is just too much!

Chris, sounds like you had a bit of time to relax. you deserve it!

i already drove to Sam's Club this a.m. for a few staples, and before that i made and froze some zucchini bread. looks like AGAIN i will not be getting any zucchini from my garden. i plant at least 10 plants, and last year and this year...NOTHING! tons of flowers (all male...) but no fruit. i see bees out there on the flowers, so i have NO idea what's happened. anyone else have this prob?

hope you all have a great day!

Hi ladies!!!

It's still miserable here too....highs right at 100 and with the humidity the heat index is close to 120!!
For those of you who don't know..we were without power for 4 days in this heat...two of those days it was 102 and 104. We are smack in the middle of where the bad storm came through Friday...my parents still don't have power at their house. We lost $$$ of food, and our gazebo is trashed..but other than that..everything else is fine.
Our power came back on late Tuesday night..we were in a motel and our neighbor called us. So we came home yesterday morning. Slept til 9 this morning..MUCH NEEDED!!!
Sorry for the repeating for you girls who have read this.

Other than that.....we of course did not celebrate anything yesterday, just clean up around here...but we did go to the fireworks last night.

Summer here is not going so great. These kids need something to occupy them all the time (both of them being ADHD) and Mike and I are about to go insane!!! I try to keep them busy, but I just can't do it all the time. This will no doubt go down as the worst Summer ever for us.....the lady who is suppose to be our Respite care giver seems to never be available to help out....and I hate to find someone new and cause more confusion for them. They are going through a HORRID separation spell now...they don't even want to play, just be right on top of me. Jaiden would go to my Mom's for a while occasionally to give me a little break, but she doesn't even want to go there anymore.....She does miss school though, she cries everyday because she can't go. I am sending each one of them to two half day camps this month...one will be together and then a seperate for each one of them. CAN'T WAIT FOR THOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay anyway....ladies...stay cool as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have all my curtains closed...turned the a/c down to 68 early this morning so it would cool the house down really well before it got super hot....so we are very comfortable temp wise....

Afternoon all and thanks for the birthday wishes- I am hoping to take 55 pictures today- on my 55th birthday! I may have already, I stopped at Kingwood Center (the beautiful garden that I support with annual membership) just after a rainstorm ended and before the sun came out! I took lots of pics, will have to download and count! Also took pics in the car of a tractor trailer passing an amish buggy, other than that not much going on. Heading to calling hours for one of my kiddo's dad's that was killed in an accident over the weekend. Tomorrow- back to work.

Nana, hope you guys catch a break somehow! you are an amazement. bummer about your power and gazebo! be well and safe.
