Hey there my dear O-Fam!!!
Sorry that I didn't get a thread up in the morning yesterday. I kept getting booted off of the site but the rest of the internet was working fine. And I couldn't wait around since I had to go to clean.
I have to say that it felt *really* good to clean those two days. On Tuesday, I was off-balance in a way. Driving over, it was almost like I could get out of reality for a bit and it felt like life was normal. It honestly made me kind of emotional is I drifted in and out reality. One second I was just bopping along on my way to work. The next I was seeing all of the graduation signs on lawns for the kids who didn't get real graduation. Unsettling.
I cleaned yesterday also and I think I did more work in the last two days than I had in the last two months combined!
At the rate we are going in the US it is going to be a long, long time until there is any kind of normal. :(

I don't have any big plans here today. I need to get a few things handled around the house. The dogs' toys have exploded everywhere so I have fluff to clean up. I have to clean up my head drive too. Gary is going to strip my computer down and reinstall everything. But I am going to need to clean up my drives before we back it up.

I am waiting for a call back from the vet. I can't remember if I mentioned that the new Arthritis meds seemed to make Ray more unsteady on her feet, her legs were buckling on her. We are going to try a different med. She hasn't taken the new one in three days and she actually trotted a bit yesterday.

And dinner. Omg, why do people have to eat every day??? :hurt:

Lots of hugs coming to you!!!

Jean- Happy birthday to your mom. I wonder what she would think of life right now. Although she had seen a lot in her life, I am sure.
Is baseball starting up again? (seems kids crazy to me, but I hope they are being safe)

Happy Canada Day Trudy! How was the hike? It is too bad that you couldn't go with your regular group but was it romantic going just you and your Gary?

Felis- Sounds great that you have new tunes to listen to. Enjoy that and stay cool!

Going to be a busy day so this will be short and sweet. Have my mammo today and need to get a few things while I am out. Yesterday afternoon we had a scare... thought I heard something strange but was working on a LO so ignored it. A couple of minutes later the doorbell rang. It was my next door neighbor. He asked if I had heard the wind...{didn't realize at the time that was what I had heard}. We had a mini-whirlwind come over us... it lifted his patio umbrella up in the air then dropped it in my backyard!!! :jaw: No damage to it or our properties, thank goodness. He saw the wind pick it up, twirl it around then drop it in my yard. Nothing got picked up in my yard but both of my patio umbrellas are fastened to heavy bases - as his was not... Crazy that the whirlwind came out of nowhere with blue skies and sun shining brightly and only a light wind blowing.

Chris, glad you got some cleaning done for your client... bet it did feel good but also strange at the same time. Hope the vet gets the meds changed for Ray. Good luck on getting your computer cleaned up before the back-up and reboot.

DD#1 came over for a quick visit yesterday and to bring me a set of sheets she purchased at my request. Need to get them washed today as she will be back over tomorrow to help me put them on the bed. Was happy to see that this Queen size set had Queen-sized pillowcases. So many of them have standard sizes which are too short for my Queen pillows.

Waving to everyone.... CYL

good late morning - my DH took Luther out before I got up so after I ate I decided to walk and Luther wanted to walk again. He went as far as he wanted and then turned around and I took him home and continued. It was nice to be out before the heat is to hit. Should be 90+ today. Then cool down for the weekend. Yesterday turned out to be surprising. Around 3pm my youngest son texted that he and his MG were going to be bring sausage and peppers for dinner. Too sweet. Then we decided to invite my other son and his wife. She could not come but my son did. So we had a great dinner. Were able to catch up. We do not talk politics as my oldest and I disagree so it is better to just not discuss. We listen to each other but we just won't agree. But fortunately we have plenty else to talk about. I think it was special for my youngest to let his brother get to know his future wife. I loved it. Made me so happy that they get along. My oldest took his motorcycle class and passed. He talked about how you drive a motorcycle and I am not sure my mind could keep straight which hand or foot is used for power, changing gears and especially breaking. He still has to change the title and get his license set so he can ride. Yesterday was filled with two really powerful thunderstorms and lots of rain. I know Luther does not like the noise but this was the first time that he was shaking he was so scared. I just held him and talked to him. Luckily these storms pass fast and when the kids came he was much happier. But I do feel bad there is not more I can do. He has gotten worse as he has aged. I cannot believe that it is July!

Chris glad that cleaning went so well. I am sure it felt crazy to be out and in someone else's home. I hope you can figure out the meds for Ray. And I cant believe it is July. I bet you enjoy the day out today. I see only blue skies and not thunderclouds.

Jean happy belated birthday to your mother. And I too am trying to understand how baseball will work and keep everyone healthy. It is one thing if the players stay in one place but for the ball players they will be leaving and going to other teams facilities. But I will watch if they do play games. I missed the last Genetic Detective. I really liked that show too.

Kay thanks for the reminder that I need to schedule a mammogram. What a shock that must have been to have your neighbor's umbrella in you backyard. Those whirlwinds can just come out of nowhere. Glad there was no damage to your yard or his umbrella. Always fun to have new sheets! Sweet that you daughter will help so you don't mess that back again.

Trudy happy belated Canada Day! I hope you and your MG had a great hike.

Felis enjoy the new music!

Morning O-zies! Mixed bag of weather here today and it has cooled off a bit! No plans today except to maybe run out to the local craft store and pick up a few items. I will also get my online grocery shopping started today also. We now have same day pickup so if I get my grocery order completed today I will just have to sign in tomorrow morning and complete the checkout and then pick it up later in the day. Hooray!! It will be nice to not feel pressured into getting it done quickly. Yesterday was a very nice day for our Canada Day! The hike was lovely and we were very surprised to only see about 6 or 7 other people out on the trails. They were mostly families who were on their bikes and the bike trail runs along side of the hiking trails, so we never really were close to anyone. DH did well with his knees not bothering him much at all so that was nice! Then we got a cute surprise when we got home, across the street delivered some sparklers and some Canada Day cookies and a few other goodies to our front door. They asked us and a few other neighbours to join them on the street to light our sparklers etc and have a fun little Canada celebration with them! It was so cute to see them socially distance but still have so much fun together! We enjoyed face time calls with the grands too, and we sure were missing them being here with us as they would usually be this time of year  Isaac and Sadie's other grandparents were trying to convince our Son and DIL to send the kids out here to spend a few weeks, but there is no way they should be going on an airplane right now. Our son was livid that his FIL would even suggest such a thing.:nono: As much as I would love to see the kids and give our Son and DIL a break, there is no way any of us should be going on any airlines! Ok enough about that :tape: I better post personals before I blabber on and on about nothing LOL :blah:

Chris - Glad that the cleaning went well and that you were able to at least do some day dreaming about things being normal again (whatever that is LOL). Too bad we all have to come back to reality!! Yes things are not going so well for you in the States and I am not sure how you will ever recover from all of this craziness until there is a vaccine out there for everyone. Lets hope that happens soon! Sure hope that you can get the meds figured out for your Ray, poor baby!! Have fun picking up all the fluff from the much loved toys LOL. Have you thought about what your next theme night will be??

Kay - Yikes, that is scary that your neighbours umbrella got blasted into your yard!! Good thing it never hit the house! Crazy weather!! How nice to have the new sheets!! I hope you get your laundry done so you can enjoy the nice feeling of the clean new sheets! Have a great day of scrapping today!

Nancy - Your Luther is so funny!! But that is sad that the thunder makes him so scared!! You must feel helpless not being able to calm him down  Wonder how hockey will ever be able to go ahead, how are they not going to all get infected with this virus, you know darn well that many will get sick playing in those hot spots for COVID19. I really think they should just leave it be until there is a vaccine. I can't believe that it is July already either, and how nice that your boys were together and getting to know your son's new love! Bonus that they brought dinner with them too!! Gotta love that!

Jean - Hope you continue to enjoy your genealogy and that you also get to spend some time watching the baseball! Must be strange to see with no one in the stands though! Hope that the temps don't get too warm for you!

Felis - At least you have the good music to enjoy during your very warm days! Thanks for wish us Canucks a Happy Canada Day!! Hope you get to do something fun today!

Ok I am off to the shower as I have already had my face time chat with Heather and the boys. The workers are there finishing off the final touches for the downstairs bathroom, it will be so nice for them to have the extra shower!! Oh and I almost forgot to mention that I picked up the cutest coffee mug at the Butchart Gardens, a large one with Hedgehogs on it. I thought of you Felis when I bought it.

Hello lovelies!
:hurt:I'm so bored! I Want something good to happen to me, something exciting! It's summer after all, what is the point to exist summer except to have a time for adventures.
We are very negative nation, have proverbs like "too good is not on goodness" and "today's laughter will brings you tears tomorrow" so of course I'm worried at some point something to not spoiled my present happiness. Knocking on wood to not happens! But it is from this kind of happiness, which came from the comfort of ordinary. I appreciate it and I'm grateful, but I feels I need something more, just a little bit more exciting. Even my mom notice how this years flowers blooms and gone without to tempts me to take pics. I'm bored from scraping and reading too. And I was struggling that I wasn't able to post here previous month, but now when I have the PC only for myself I just can't find what to write to you. Was preparing post about my feelings to reading vs listening audio book, when realized that I'm already posted this before few months. I'm pretty sure that I already have posts like today's too! :frusty:

Lets see what's happens to you!

Chris, so good to hear that you are happy to be back in work! And hope now to reward yourself with nice and so deserved Me time! Oh, poor Ray, hope to feels better with different meds!

Kay, thank goodness that there is no damages from the wind!

Trudy, I love this cup! At first I decided you are painted it by yourself LOL. Yes, I hope my hedgehogs friends to comm see me soon as this year lots of veggies in our garden are in bloom, hope this to attract them back! The hike sounds very nice, and great that the weather has cooled off a bit! Oh, so sad that you have to stay separated from the kids!

Unfortunately I have to admit that in my country people get bored to fear, and mass start to break the rules, which brings increasing of the cases. Our prime minister is furious, but who cares! Freedom is our the primordial right! It must be first and most important! I just wish people to was free during they still keep the instruction for personal protection, as distance and disinfection. Of course we needs sports and art, travels, and meetings, but the crowd gets really wild.
