It amazes me how much a silly puppy and Dirt Therapy can do for my soul. I am feeling a heck of a lot better this morning than I did yesterday.

Cait, Scott, and I took W over to the park/lake and let W swim a bit. At first, she was very unsure of the water and kept jumping back as the waves came in. We would throw a stick close to the edge and she wanted the stick more than she was worried about the waves. Once she got used to the water, she started leaving around in it. Eventually, she figured out how to doggie paddle. She had a *blast.* Caitlyn sent me pictures and videos that I am uploading to my computer.

After I got home, I spent another hour or so cleaning up weeds and the backyard.
My dad is doing fine, he has a black eye and some cuts on his head but overall, not too sore. He sees the Dr today and we will find out if he is cleared to drive and to go to the lake house. I can't remember if I had said anything, but I was/am going to PA this weekend to unplug and get away for a bit. But we made those plans before the accident and I want to make sure that he is ok to be away from home.

My day is all messed up due to some miscommunication and weird scheduling. I had to cancel my plans for the Meditation/Yoga walk this morning and have to go clean early. The family's aunt in flying in earlier than she was expected so Cait is not babysitting late and I have to clean early.
It all works out in the end because I have to get ready to pack-- if I am packing. that is.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful day!

Felis- my hope is that the hedgies come back to visit you again too. :)
Most homes in this area don't have fences. it if they do, they will block off the back yards, so the homes have "curb appeal" and look pretty from the road. Most people are respectful and stay off of other people's properties. Although we had one lady who insisted on letting her dog-- on a leash- onto our lawn. That made my dogs bonkers. We had to tell her to stop and I haven't seen her since.

Joanne's challenge was great and Wolfgang the Gargoyle is much happier in the flowers than in the snow :D

Hope that you get some of your sister's photos to scrap too

Yikes, somehow never got to the O yesterday. The genealogy group at the senior center met in the afternoon and I guess I just got sidetracked getting ready and forgot after. Today is lovely and I'll be working on updating my talk for Saturday.

Chris, so sorry to hear about your dad's accident. Sure hope he is doing fine now. And you too. How neat you got W into the water and she learned to like it. Sure hope the weekend at the lake is still on. You all need it!

Felis, interesting difference in ideas about fenced yards. We have little city lots here and no one would fence the front yard but lots of back yards are fenced in various ways. But even those fences are not always for privacy, but just to keep the dogs in. Hope you get to scrap some of your sister's vacation photos.

I understand there was lots of celebration in France when their team won the soccer match to go to the finals. Wonder if Trudy got to enjoy some of that.

Waiting for Nancy's return to hear about the birds she saw in Maine. Hopefully with lots of photos.

Rae, thinking of you always.
