The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
This is going to have to be quick since I am running behind schedule. Gary forgot to set the coffee pot on last night and I had to brew the pot myself.:mmph:
Nah, I am not mad at him, not really.... hahah!!

I am doing *much* better this morning. Cait was awake went I went upstairs to check on her. Seemed to be feeling better and in better spirits. She slept better, not great but actually slept. Whew! Things are also settling a bit with Brendan. They hit a rough patch over the last week or so, and I cannot imagine how hard that is for her while he is living here.
Scott went back to work while he is on break- just for the next two weeks, but he will get a few extra bucks, and it gives him a sense of purpose. As much as he complains about actually having to work, he gets bored and unmotivated when he has that much time off. He is at the restaurant that he worked at last year and will go back after this next semester is done.
All good things!

Today I actually have nothing on my schedule! Rae's QOTD made me think that I should scrub the tubs out. I started the kids' yesterday and it was so gross that I gave up. And now that it is officially winter weather, I am going to plastic over the windows that are really drafty.

What are you up to for today?

Nancy- Oh no! Poor Luther! Hope he is back to his normal puppy self today!
:gaah: Germs all over your house! Sending you some preventative chicken soup!

Kat- :pound: purple fingernails! Oh yeah, totally relate how people react to that. With Reynaud's my feet turn all sorts of colors. I can be at the beach and if I get even a bit cold- they will go from purple to grey to blue and back again in seconds. My hands are usually more splotchy reds and whites. Tee-hee! I am a colorful kinda girl, who needs make up?? LOL
Oh my goodness, your poor friend having a herx like that and not knowing what it was. My first herx (how sad that we remember them LOL) was when I was cleaning a client's house, was feeling fine one minute and the next I was throwing up in their (just cleaned) toilet. Cold sweats, shaking, dizzy- the whole deal.
Hope work is warmer today!

I have to get the car warmed up and cait to the bus. But I will be back in a bit.
xoxo

Morning O fam- my new laptop arrived, amazing how much faster everything runs with a new laptop. Will be working all day to move things over, now I know how I would like my laptop set up versus the first time when I let everything get all messy!!

:high5: Laurie!!! That is so awesome about the new laptop! My phone is really old and it wasn't a good one to begin with and it is slow too. I got money for Christmas and I keep flipping between getting a new one or putting the money towards Bills. Guess I could put a new phone on the credit card and then pay it off with the gift money. That would work for both options :D
Good luck getting everything moved over!

Rae- I shouldn't laugh at Haddie and the food, but part of me wants to chuckle a bit. Harley- our rescue who was a stray would do really weird things like that and had separation anxiety like mad. BIL's dog ate the strangest things too- I don't know how many beepers she got, plus a disposable razor once among other more "typical" things.
It makes me happy to hear that Haddie is with you in a loving home :)
How is your mom doing?

Rae- I was going to add in that info too, that Kat said. I saw on the fitbit site that there are a lot of third party apps that integrate. I don't know if anyone else has a Walgreen's near them, (they are all over NJ) but they have a Balance Rewards program. I would manually log my steps and you get points for discounts in the store, probably online too. Now the fitbit automatically syncs with that account and I am going to hit a $10 coupon soon.

Laurie- that is so great that you are excited about the new job! And the furniture :)

Trudy- oh man, another sleepless night??? I wish I could help with that, but unless I am medicated --which i dislike and don't recommend- i am in the same boat.
Thank you so much, as always, for wishing for a cure too. Someday. There has to be a cure or at *least* an acknowledgement of this &^&^%$#%$#&-ing disease by the general medical community.
Yes!! I am so blessed with my family, my puppies and kitties (even when Catzilla tries to kill me in my sleep), coffee and wine, and my O-Fam too. Could not do any of this without it!!!

Tossing this out there... since so many of us have fitbits, do you know anything/have any opinion for the "Friends" option on it? Thinking on the one hand it might be nice to connect and support, OTOH- too much pressure?

T- my exciting life yesterday... Dropped off the dog's Rx at the pharm, went to the bank to deposit a check, got blood drawn (new girl bruised me), went to library to pick up a book that came in, then back to Pharm to get Rx. Talk about exciting! LOL

Rae- welcome home to the hubs! Bet Taz was thrilled- love the new avi of you two!!!
That is exactly how I felt about the book. I almost put it down while it was still just the two of them, but I was so glad I kept going. The book was so good. Does the movie stick close to it?
Ummmmm- is the food channel a good idea when you are starting a new diet?
:banplease:

Hugs to everyone who stops in today!!

Chris regarding the fit bit, I do use the friends feature- just last night discovered my DC son took more steps last 7 days compared to me, however I don't get too competitive with it. I am in a move more on the weekend challenge- as I am not always as active on the weekends- Christmas day I had less than 600 steps- say what????

good morning! Got in some good walks with Luther. The weather warmed up nicely. And so good to see that Luther is back to normal. He was a happy puppy all day. My son stayed home with his bad cold and as the day wore on he said he was bored, that he could only watch TV and play video games for so long. WOW who is this kid? I guess he really is growing up! My Devils lost to the Habs 2-1. The Devils have several players that are injured and they are the ones that score the goals so my team needs them back. Fast!

Chris you day sounds interesting. I have my own errands to run today!

Laurie congrats on the new computer. Faster sounds so good!

Rae and Chris thanks for sharing your stories about dogs eating weird things. Yesterday Luther found a conch shell in the back yard. The boys had hermit crabs so I am thinking that when it died we buried it in the back yard and of course Luther would find it.

Trudy so sorry about the sleepless nights. I am thinking that my body needs to move at night because I have noticed when I sleep too soundly I wake up sore in the morning as my muscles are stiff. The joys of aging! The trick is not to think when one awakes at night. So much easier said than done. For me the worst is waking at 5 am to go to the bathroom and then trying to go back to sleep!

I love these step trackers. My apple watch counts steps and I love it! It is fun to see how many miles I have walked it day, week and month. And it reminds me every hour I have to get up and move. And I know I enjoy having my son and his girlfriend as friends on my watch. It is fun tapping and sending drawings.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... off to swim soon, DD won't be Skype-ing today, as Mason is in pre-school and she just enjoys the time alone. So I will get my swim in a bit earlier today hopefully!

Chris - glad that Cait is feeling better and hope that things work out alright with her and Brendan! It must be very awkward for her!! Nice that Scott is getting some spending money and is back to work for a bit. Good for him for taking the initiative to do so! I was wondering about the friends thing too on the fitbit, but really do you guys actually want to see just how lazy I really am LOL!! Yesterday I charged the battery and forgot to put it back on so no steps or anything recorded for me yesterday. Wish I could wear it swimming but I can record the exercise that I do and the length that I swim. I am finding it hard to actually get in the 10thousand steps you are supposed to walk every day!!

Laurie - How fun to play with your new laptop today!! Too funny that Christmas Day you did not get many steps in but hey it was Christmas you are allowed to be lazy!! I bet you rock all the other days!!

Nancy - Hope everyone gets over their colds quickly, a house full of germs is no fun to deal with!! Sorry about your Devil's loss, those dam Habs!! :becky: Yes the joys of aging!! I too have the worst time to get back to sleep after getting up to pee LOL. Your apple watch sounds like so much fun! My sister got one for Christmas, but I haven't seen it yet.

Rae - Love, Love your new AVI!! So cute of the two of you!!

Ok I better get something to eat and then off to swim for a bit. I hope everyone has a great day today!!

Good morning, ladies. Had a bit of a late start this morning, hubs and I relaxed a bit longer this morning (his first day back from his trip). Taz was thrilled to have him home and danced around him on two legs, constantly licking and snuggling. I did my first weekly weigh-in for WW this morning and am thrilled to be down 3 lbs. I'm making cabbage/hamburger/turkey soup today for lunches (it's low in points). Tonight is the start of a new show (another one about dieting) that I'm curious to watch. Looks like our weather is clear for a few days so will get outdoors with Taz later.

Chris - I've been enjoying watching the food channel shows, getting ideas of things to make to change up my menu. I'm not watching any baking/dessert shows though. Glad today is a better day for you. If you're putting plastic on the windows, you might be interested in a tip I saw on youtube last month about pressing bubble wrap over the windows, it will stick without being adhered with anything and just lift and peel it off. We're thinking of doing that to our trailer windows in the winter. I just need to find the cheapest place to buy the bubblewrap.

Laurie - enjoy the new laptop. My hubs got a new one for work and they have new software to use (I'm sure I'll hear lots of muttering and swearing for the next few days LOL).

Nancy - how big is Luther? He sure is a beauty. Love those perky ears!

Trudy - enjoy your swim. I can't wait to get a fitbit and start tracking everything! Waiting for my hubs to get his bonus soon so I can get one.
