Happy Thursday from a cold and soon to be snowy NJ!

Thankfully, we aren't supposed to get all that much. 3-5" but winds will be between 40-50 mph. Nancy will most likely be getting hit way harder than we are since the storm is hitting the coastal regions more than inland. Hopefully, she is far enough north to not get the really bad blizzard stuff that the southern part of NJ is getting.

Yesterday was another washout of a day. This weather really does me in and the Tindamax effects were rough. All I want to do is curl up and do nothing. I ended up making bookmarks at Walgreens.com for my mom's b-day gift. I made two sets, one of the family and one of the place that we stayed at down the shore in September. And to top it off, they were super-inexpensive. $1.99 for a set of 4. They had a 50% off code so it came to $2.12. I picked them up an hour later. They came out cute and I hope that she will use them.It is good that there are 4 identical ones in each set so she can keep one, and use the other 3.

I didn't do much of anything else, I kept distracting myself. I spent a bit of time tagging in ACDSee at the end of the day because I felt that I needed to have something accomplished.

I am supposed to be cleaning for my neighbor this afternoon but that will be an "easy" walk a couple of houses down. keep your fingers crossed that I don't blow away.
I have to work in my office this morning before I do that. Have. To.

Oh, I just realized one reason why I kept getting distracted. Scott and Leah are going to my parents' lakehouse tomorrow-Sunday. My mom, in True Faery's Mom Fashion, has been calling to ask/tell me what food is there, what she is sending up with my dad, where they can find things in the house. After I get off the phone with her, I need to relay all of that information to Scott which then becomes a discussion of why she needs to do this. It is a compulsion with her. :pound:

So that is about it. Same old, same old. Tired of the cold weather. Hating :smow:
Typical Faery Fashion.

Have a very splendid day!

You know, I am really not liking that avatar I made yesterday. My face is too big.
But.Must.Not.Fix.It.Today. (tomorrow I can heh)

Nancy- sending you some virtual tea and chicken soup. Feel better!!

Trudy- how long will it take to get your car back? Cait's won't be back until early next week, possibly. Then it still won't be able for her to drive it until the rearview gets fixed. Every time I really get adamant about selling the VUE, we need it.
That was great that the salon called to remind you about your appt.
Why is it that everything seems to break at once? *knocking on wood that no one else has anything break on them*
The domino game sounds fun!

Felis- I am like you (of course!) in that I don't like doing activities in groups where other people will laugh at me or I get self-conscious. But as I have gotten older, I seem to care less. I have no motivation for doing yoga yet. Maybe soon????
My mom is very big on signs too and bad ones make her worry even more than usual. I hope that your signs turn positive for you soon.
I don't understand why more countries aren't getting solar panels. All of those skyscrapers and parking garages could have them on their roofs. No one would notice and think about how much electricity they could generate. Nope, the US is recommitting itself to coal and oil. :yell:

Rae- How is Jen holding up with all of this? I am really happy that she lives so close to you, what a blessing to know that you are only a short distance apart. If she is like me, there are some days that she just needs her mom. Fingers still crossed that a treatment bed opens up for her soon.
We were able to get the Samsung Galaxy 8 through some crazy good deal with Sprint. I think we got them for $100 with a 2-year contract. We all have the same phone and while I don't use many of the features (I feel ridiculous talking to a phone LOL) Gary and Scott use all of the features. Gary even uses it to track his blood sugar levels with Samsung Health App. The camera is amazing.
I don't know anything about the iPhone but we all are happy with the Galaxy.
I could use a seize the day quote... get it into my cold-induced-fog-of-a-brain. pfft.
I had to laugh yesterday. It was 24* when I went out to pick up the bookmarks and I didn't feel like I was dying. But we will be hovering between 0-10* the next few days.

FWIW- I think I broke my wrist years ago when I fell on the ice and the range of motion is half of what the other one is. I will use my fist to hold a pose if a palm-down one isn' strong enough.

Jean- That is very impressive but not surprising about everyone liking the book. That is a super idea about giving a copy to the library too.
Caitlyn asked me if I saw the Nuclear Button Tweet and of course I had. I said-- "I can't even..." and then said-- That is the terrifying part. We are becoming immune to the idea of him threatening nuclear war on Twitter! :hurt:
Too funny that you were thinking of the Oregon Trail. The game was fun! IRL- I am guessing not so much heh.

OMG- I am wasting so much time! I better get this posted and start working on my office... (But I don't wanna!!)

xoxo

Hello girls,
today I try to clearize all bills that still have to pay, so too can do that tomorrow. Also we had an improvised party for lunch, so now I have to catch up the work I'm backward from the morning.

Chris, I want much to have few of these solar panels, but the whole documentation that I have to collect and of course the prepaid make it too complicated for me right now. Hope in future the procedures to go easier! I like this idea for personalized bookmarks! Think she will like it too. So bad about the Cait's car. Hope yours work this afternoon really to be easy! Oh and of course storm to skip you! I'm worried for our friends from Central Europe, but we are grateful that the Storm Eleanor skip us.

Rae, please don't listen us, we are so bad supporting team. :guilty: Of course you need yoga instructor and would be great if you can find place with nice and kind yoga group. Competition always helps to make progress faster. And of course is very important someone to check, to not hurt yourself. I found a channel of Yoga Instructor from Austin, US. And will ask my sister who make Yoga from ages just to check me in some exercises, because I'm a little bit worried to not hurt my knees. I had problems with them in past.
How are feels Taz and also Bailey?! Oh, you have hard time now, but hope it's for better future. Hugs!

Jean, hope you had fun at the bird club meeting. Even if you aren't very busy right now, you still make such a interesting things. And also in this cold is better to not be much busy, so to can stay inside.

Trudy, was so fun that we were cross posted yesterday and hair cut at the same day :) . Oh, I just hate shipping, it's always so expensive, but I'm not surprised you have to do it with so generous Santa. At least it will worth because of the satisfaction of your kids. Hope the car get ready fast!

Nancy, unlike of the others I can't send you virtual chicken soup, even the virtual one. But I send you virtual :choclove. Don't helps for cold, but I hope it will makes you happy! Think for you, hugs!

Keep warm all! :ranger:

Morning ladies... grrrr I had a long post all done and then lost it :gaah: I hate when that happens. Oh well here we go again. Yesterday I managed to get all of the Christmas decorations down and put away and then looked at the clock and realized that I only had 15 mins to get ready and get to the hairdressers. I managed to get there with a couple of mins to spare, the traffic gods were watching over me LOL. DH couldn't believe that I had all of the work done, he thought that I was only taking down the tree, but once I got started I just couldn't stop :becky: So needless to say not much else got done, no scrapping and today I hope to get that done. No where to go and no vehicle to go anywhere, I hope to have my car back by the end of the day. We will see.

Chris - Sorry that you will be getting this storm system that is to hit your area! It sounds like it could be a nasty blast of winter! Perhaps you will get your cleaning done in record time and get back home to crawl under a blanket and keep warm with a good book! So cute about your mom fretting over Scott and Leah! That's what we do right?? I hope that they have a wonderful time at your Mom and Dad's place! How nice that they are able to do that! Sending you warm hugs today, stay grounded and don't get blown away today!

Felis - Hope you get all your bills organized and paid by tomorrow, I have the same job to do today sometime also. I first needed to clear away all the clutter in my house before I could tackle that job though LOL. Yes the shipping of anything through the postal service is just horribly expensive, no Christmas Cards were sent from my house this year because of it, sad because I used to love sending out Cards with newsletter every year. Oh well times have changed. Hope your lunch party was fun and that you get all caught up with your work day!

Rae - Keeping my fingers crossed for Bailey to get her treatment that she needs. It must be such a worry for you all! I just love your new shorter haircut, but like you say with shorter hair you must keep it trimmed or else it starts to look shaggy. By the time 5 weeks rolls around I am so ready for a trim and of course the grey is there too. One day I will just let it go, but not quite there yet. Sounds like you are all set up with your computer area back to where you need it. The Calendars sound so nice too! I could use a good motivational calendar to put up near me, I will have to look for something.

Nancy - I hope you are feeling a bit better today! Sending you lots of healing thoughts and gentle hugs

Jean - Of course everyone will love your book, how could they not?? You put so much work into it and I know they will appreciate it at the library! Sounds chilly where you are. Yes another expensive thing to purchase and not what we needed right after Christmas, but I guess that is life, always one thing or the other. Hope your weather warms up soon!

Alright DD will be face timing me soon, I feel so bad for her, trying to get around in that tiny place with all those toys lying all over the place and trying to take care of a 4 yr old and 5month old too. Wish she lived across the street so I could go and help. Oh well it is the life she chose and all I can do is to be there for moral support right now. I am off to clean the bathrooms (yippee) NOT! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I've been dealing with a printer error when trying to load a new ink cartridge. Finally got it working, so hope it will be ok now. I've also been trying to get thru to Fido to talk about a phone upgrade. I finally got thru and we're discussing plans now. They are willing to give me a better deal than the store will. So I'll keep this post short b/c she'll be back on the phone with me in a minute to discuss further.

Chris - keep warm when going out and glad you don't have to go far to do the cleaning. Enjoy the upcoming quiet time with the kids away for a few days. Maybe you'll have some scrappy time.

Felis - I take things as a sign too. I usually try to take it as a positive sign. I try to put out the positive energy when I can.

Trudy - yay for being so organized and getting the stuff all put away.

Gotta go....fido is back online with me. Wish me luck with a phone plan. Talk later. bye.

The day has been getting away from me, but finally able to comment. Last night when DH was headed to bed he looked out the kitchen window and saw a bunny under our thistle feeder. It looked to be eating fallen seeds. We hadn't seen one in the yard in quite a while and to see it in the dark and snow like that was a surprise.

Chris, hope your cleaning nearby went well and you've been able to huddle under some blankets. I love the idea of the bookmarks for Mom. I'll have to keep the idea in mind as I'm sure I could use it too. Wishing you and Nancy good luck with the weather!

Felis, paying bills is no fun, but you'll get it done. How nice to have a bit of party for lunch even if you have to catch up then.

Trudy, you were a whirlwind yesterday? Fun to surprise DH with everything cleared away. Hope your car was ready.

Rae, hope everything worked out with the phone deal!
