Daily Ooo's: Thursday, January 26

It is Thursday and guess what? We still don't have Caitlyn's car back. They got the one part in yesterday but found something else wrong with it, so we are waiting on the 2nd part to come in. :frusty:

Gary is supposed to be bringing her to school, but he isn't feeling good so I offered if he can't. Then we are off to the LLMD which is on the way but our appt is 2 hours after her first class.

Yesterday went by so fast. I went to the food pantry (I love the lady who works there, she is so nice! ) grabbed a couple of books from the library (Yoga for Anxiety bwuahahah!!) and forgot to get gas on the way back. Painted the trim in the kids' bathroom, and then went to get Caitlyn from school.

Are any of you watching a Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix? I see it pop up on FB but Gary thought it was for kids. My kids are obsessed with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and literally quote it almost non-stop. Gary and I decided that if we ever wanted to have a conversation that we can comprehend, we needed to watch it too. It is so completely over the top un-PC that it is hysterical.

So that is it from me. Like I say- same old, same old.

Nancy- what is up with your Devils? That is crazy how they are on such a bad streak. Hope it turns around. Did you have a nice dinner with your friend? Of course you did, you always do.
Did the Dr have any suggestions for your DS? If it is the same thing that I and everyone else had, the cough it the *worst* and it does not go away.
yeah, looks like cuts to Medicare are going forward too. I hope that it doesn't affect people already on it.

Sharon- The mini-o's that are coming out tomorrow are amazing! Bet you had fun working with them!

Trudy- how was your hike? I am jealous, I am at the point where I am craving sun and fresh air. Did you see any cool birds?
That *sucks* about Heather. The US did that with the National Guard.They messed up with signing bonuses and these poor people owed back thousands of $. who has money like that hanging around? I feel for Heather, it really does stick having the constant cloud over your head. You know I get that!

Rae- I am so happy for you that your computer is running so well! whee!!!!!
I am not sure if it is my computer or the internet or both, but mine is running really slow which makes me mad, it is brand new! Hope that you and Bailey and Taz get to go out for a photo walk today.

Not much going on here. Hubby came home from his trip and DD and hubby came over to say goodbye because tomorrow they go on a cruise. They invited us to go to a Sandals resort with them in July- I am excited!! My other DD has a job interview in Nashville TN on Feb. 10th. She wants her dad and I to go with her for the long weekend. I am not sure with one dog undergoing heartworm treatment. We will see.

good morning - I am bummed it is back to cloudy and rainy. They said they the rain should end soon but I will wait. My son is still home sick. The Dr. said he has the flu and should be home until Monday to avoid spreading it but that means I have him home and he is much better so he is around giving me his germs LOL. Lots of hand washing. Yesterday's dinner with my girlfriends was so fun! We had great fun catching up but the best was the food was delicious! The best I have had in awhile. At best of all it was easy to get to and easy parking. Tonight the Devils play and there will be lots of my son's friends going. So that will be fun! But the Devils are playing the Capitals and team that routinely scores 4-5 goals and was just shut out so I am sure they see my team as a team they should defeat. Oh well.

Chris sorry about the car! What a hassle that makes for you and your Gary. Good luck with the doctor!

Sharon how fun to have family over and to be invited on vacation!

Trudy that is terrible about Heather and the over payment. The Marines declared the same thing to my son when he left active duty. So I took him to a lawyer who did it for free and he sent a nasty letter to them and they agreed not pursue the money. But I was so angry. It was their mistake so they should not ask for it back. Has Heather thought of looking for a lawyer.

Rae so glad to hear that you and your computer are working well together. I too can get so caught up in a book that I really neglect everything else.

Morning ladies... I slept in a bit than had some behind the scene things to do here. So I am a bit late getting here today. Yesterdays hike was very nice and we learned lots about the estuary near here. It was a 4 hour hike and we had a fellow that worked most of his life on the estuary tell us all about it. He was interesting, but man he talked a lot!! LOL We were getting pretty chilly standing there listening to him that finally the hike leader had to tell him to stop so we could continue walking and warm up LOL. Saw lots of swans, ducks, heron, and bald eagles, but they were all too far away to get any real good shots with the camera. Oh how I wish I had a better zoom lens!! I hopped into a nice warm bath after getting home as I was chilled to the bone. It was not the sunny day we had hoped for, with lots of fog and overcast skies and of course the sun appeared after our hike was over :becky:

Chris - Darn that car is not yet fixed!! What a PITA!! Hope your Dr. appt goes well for you! Sure hope your yoga books are interesting and give you some good tips for anxiety! Still pissed about what is happening to Heather, but she seems to be taking it all in stride, so I won't stress about it. I can't believe that they would go after someone with a disability for a stupid repayment of $300??? Bunch of A@%holes!!

Nancy - Sorry to hear that your weather is back to gloomy and :rain: Hope that your son is not going to spread his germs to you! Lots of washing your hands and hopefully you will avoid getting it too! So far that has worked for me! Did you get your flu shot this year? Keeping my fingers crossed for your Devils tonight. Have fun watching your hockey!

Sharon - Glad that you are enjoying the miniO's they are always great little kits! Lucky DD going on a cruise!! Nice that they want to go to a great resort with you in July!!

Rae - hope you are having a good morning! Glad that your new computer is so nice and fast! I have a second monitor on my iMac, but it is not the same resolution as my iMac and I don't like the difference in the colours!! My mac is so crisp and sharp and colours so realistic while my LG monitor is not as good the colours are either too bright and saturated and very hard to adjust them. Oh well it will do for now until I can find a mac monitor that I can afford and that will probably never happen :becky: Hope you and Taz have a great day!

Off to swimming this morning so I better get some food in my tummy first. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!! :wave:
