The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I swore all day it was Thursday yesterday. I know it was Wednesday but it felt like it was Thursday. I had to mentally re-check myself.
(Now that I think of it, I had more than a few word-finding mishaps too. Note to myself to keep an eye on that today. Word finding is one of my red flags for Lyme flares)

It's a *balmy* 5*F this morning. Woot woot! Yesterday was insanely brutal but the sun was shining and didn't set until after 5 pm. dance4

How was your *checks calendar yet again* Wednesday?
Mine was decent. Cleaning was fine, with no mishaps or anything. After I got home, I paid some bills, printed out some tax forms, and then spent the rest of the afternoon working on a craft project. Sam got me a Faery House/Book kit to build for Christmas. I adore her even more for thinking that I have the ability to "build" anything LOL The first steps were to glue a paper template to a wooden board and then secure strings of tiny lights to the template. Then you cover that with a paper forest scene that the lights stick out of. I thought I was going to have to give up on the first step. But I figured it out with some help from Gary. So I got those two sides done and started to cut out the grass sections. I want to work on that some more today, but I have to order some more tacky glue from Amazon first.

No big plans today, yoga and hair washing/drying in the morning. Building my faery house later on. Dinner later on from that. Last night's comfort food dinner was awesome. I debated whether mozzarella stuffed garlic bread was too much cheese with the baked mac and cheese. For like a second. :floorlaugh:
No such thing as "too much cheese."
Tonight is going to be healthier-- roasted cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts over Hoisin noodles. No cheese this time. ;)

Wishing you all a happy and healthy and pain-free day!
:grouphugyay:

@MariJ How long are you staying at your sister's? I hope you aren't waiting for NJ to warm up because it doesn't look like that is happening soon. :crying1:
Thinking of your friend, that's so hard. :heartpumppink: @faerywings
Thank you!! She has 4 weeks of radiation and then whatever Rx they suggested, it wasn't tamoxifen which is the one they wanted me to take. It begins with an I? Anyway... She is in the "it's more annoying than scary stage" so that's a good sign.
I thought the biopsy for your BFF was not cancerous? Did I misread or misunderstand your report?
Nope, you were right on the second biopsy. The first one was cancerous, the second one was not. I know, it is confusing! :D
our "experiments" are great, BTW!
Thank you! It's always fun to see what kinds of things to do with the kids and then adapt them to the time of season and area that we live in.
That's terrible about the inspections needing to get done before you can re-register your car. In NJ you just pay for the registration and if you forget about the inspection it's not a big deal. Every once in a while local police will set up roadblocks to check inspection stickers and you'll get fined but that's it. Tom brought Cait's car to inspection last week and she was due last November. As long as her paperwork (registration/insurance) is current, that is what is more important.
Wow-- school was canceled for the temps? That must be so weird for you. Even here, I only remember one time the kids' school was canceled for the temps. There was a lot of wind and power outages but no snow and that was unusual.
Glad that you got to visit with Ilene- that's a good deal on the lunches, half price. Hope you didn't; hurt yourself with the sweeper.

I made a decision last night to stay in my current Division at work and take a promotion instead of moving to another Department altogether. (Little backstory - my disability got cut because some non-medical person has decided I'm improving. That's the short story.) This necessitated a potential move to earn some more income which prompted an offer in my current Division for a promotion to keep me around. I'm thrilled with the outcome and can't wait for the next step in my job progression. That's all the big news in my world.
Congrats on the job promotion! That's wonderful news and I am so relieved that worked out.
BOOO to the disability cuts. I can't tell you how angry that stuff makes me. :rollingpin1:
My DH is permanently disabled due to late-stage Lyme disease and the process of getting approved and everything involved was traumatizing. Is there any chance of getting your case reviewed? (No pressure to answer, share only what you want.)
Thank you for the good thoughts for my friend. ♥ You'll hear a lot about her, we have been friends since we were 5.

@taxed4ever Has that bunny emoji been here all this time? :bunny: OMG, he is toooo cute! Why haven't I seen him before????
How was the hike? I bet it was awesome, especially once you got moving. Did you get into the hot tub when you got home? Wish I could have joined you on the hike (maybe the hot tub if it is outside, you *could* bribe me with some of your wine Hahaha!!!)
Today is Wednesday. How did we get here already??? This month is flying by.
FOR REAL! I was looking at the calendar and next Friday is the last day of Jan. I even had to do the math in my head (always a dangerous undertaking) to verify it. 24+7=31
That's awful about your weather being so warm and the ice being so - well, I was going to say "slippery" but duh! How about the ice being so dangerous?

Yes, it is still cold here but not quite as cold and is warming up faster today. May even get out of the 30's!!! dance4
SweeeeeeeT!!!
:beach1:

Tomorrow I go see my ortho guy about my shoulder. DD sent the report(lots of tears and inflammation) to the chiropractor she works for he thinks an injection and PT should help he doesn't think I need surgery - see my smiley face:), I sure hope he is right. Still cannot sleep from the pain so I hope I can get some help from Dr.
Good luck, I hope the Dr can help. You need to get some sleep.
Sounds like you had an amazing time with your girls! I can imagine all of the laughter.
Oh no, that sounds very concerning about your friend, I am sending her lots of good thoughts. Hang in there and I hope that she turns the corner for the better soon.

@Terri M What a time you are having in FL :(
How is your mom doing?
Maybe the sun will come out and things will warm up soon. You hang in there too!

Love to all of you~ ♥

Can you share a picture? I love little tiny houses! ;)

So she had 2 biopsies and one showed cancer and one did not. Gotcha!

I agree! Why do they care if your car is falling apart, LOL!
school was canceled for the temps? That must be so weird for you.
Yeah.....I'm wondering if it wasn't more for the teachers than the kids, LOL!
Hope you didn't; hurt yourself with the sweeper.
Actually, it felt good to be up and moving! I needed it! I need to get up and move around more every day!

Good morning,
Please pray for Mark's 41 year-old son who is in the hospital with AFIB. He is there with him now. His son asked him if he has heart issues on his side of the family. Except that Mark was adopted, so he knows nothing about the health of his biological parents. However, the mother of Mark's children does have heart issues on her side of the family, including herself.

No plans for today. I think I will work on getting some more redownloads done.

Roasted chicken and veggies is the plan for supper tonight.
I need to place a grocery order for pickup tomorrow.
Other than that, I'm staying in my pjs today!

Have a great day!

Morning everyone, another very chilly morning! Sounds like it is for everyone, even those in snowy Florida!! I couldn't believe it when they showed the snow on the news the weather certainly is crazy!! I got more bad news this morning when I woke up, my only living brother's wife got taken to the hospital yesterday by ambulance with pneumonia. He says that she is doing ok, but it will be a long road to recovery for her! Please send some prayers and well wishes our way, we don't need anything else happening to our family members!! Yesterday's hike was great again and not as hard as I was expecting. There were 33 of us on this one, the group is getting bigger and bigger! The sun shone (it wasn't supposed to) it was perfect weather for hiking! Very narrow trails and we felt like mountain goats and had to really keep our eyes on where we were stepping! However the views were amazing and the group was chatty, so it kept the bears and cougars away :giggle4: . A bunch of us went for lunch afterwards at the Lion Rampant Inn on the water at Maple Bay and by the time I got home it was 3pm. No nice soak in the tub as the taps are leaking again in the tub, so DH has ordered new ones and those will be installed when they arrive. We both crashed and went to bed around 9pm last night, guess all the fresh air did me in. I am having a coffee date with my sister Wendy today and guess we should see what we can do for our brother Duane. He sounds like he is exhausted and very worried for his wife!! I hope to finish off a layout today that I am doing for the copycat challenge at some point this morning and its my half price deals at our radio station today, so I am trying to get some good deals for groceries etc today. I need to run a cheese dip up to where my DH works as they are having a Pot Luck lunch for another co-worker who is retiring today. Heather will be calling soon, so I will get some personals done and then get going with my day.

No big plans today, yoga and hair washing/drying in the morning. Building my faery house later on. Dinner later on from that. Last night's comfort food dinner was awesome. You are right there is no such thing as too much cheese!! Hope your hair washing/drying goes well and you have fun making your cute faery house!! What a great gift from Caitlyn!!

Yes I think the cute little bunny has been there all the time, love how he shakes his little butt!! The hike was great and so good to be with everyone, although there were a lot of loose rocks and it was on a very narrow trail, probably originally a deer trail, some steep sections where you really had to watch your footing! I bet you would have loved it! My tub is not an outdoor hot tub, but an indoor jaccuzi tub, so joining me in that might be a bit awkward :giggle4:. It would be wonderful if you could join me for a glass of wine though!! :drinkbuddies:is that me or you falling down??? LOL.

Except that Mark was adopted, so he knows nothing about the health of his biological parents. Oh dear that is scary for Mark's son!! Sending lots of good thoughts and prayers his way, hopefully he will have a speedy recovery! Yes always a worry when you don't have any health info on your biological parents. Hope everything goes well for him and for Mark too, such a frightful thing to happen!! Hope your downloading goes well and that your back is feeling much better today!

Ok I better go and get my bed made and get the dishwasher emptied, the fog has rolled in and I can't hardly see the houses across the street, sure hope it lifts before I have to head out in the car! Stay warm and cozy everyone! :waving3:

Good Morning!
This morning has gotten away from me. How is it after 8 already???? I just sat down and poof an hour gone.

It's a *balmy* 5*F this morning. Woot woot! Yesterday was insanely brutal but the sun was shining and didn't set until after 5 pm. dance4

How was your *checks calendar yet again* Wednesday?
Please, lets trade. We have 39. And its the "cold" part of the day. This is so late March temps. Its crazy.
Please pray for Mark's 41 year-old son
Oh that's scary!! Hope it turned out ok.

Not much happening here. Gonna relax and do as little as possible today.

Good morning ladies. It's been a busy couple of days. We had a friend stay with us for a few days. He took us out to one of our fave restaurants for dinner last night (Big Sky BBQ). We played Mexican Train last night and had a relaxing fun night. This afternoon he'll head over to see another friend for a day before he heads back to Vancouver. Remi was a bit freaked out to have overnight company LOL. She barked when he came down the stairs, having forgotten that we had a guest. But then he gave her a cookie and all was forgiven.

If Garrett leaves by 12:30 we'll head over to mahjong otherwise we'll not play today, no big deal either way. Yesterday I joined my Wed morning coffee group for power walking beforehand for an hour. It was a great indoor track, I got to power walk and get my heart rate up which I need during the winter b/c I'm not moving fast enough for that benefit when I am out walking with Remi, that is more of a stroll. They also want me to go to exercise class and yoga so I might try that out next week. Honestly, I have so many things to do, it is hard to fit it all in. Right now I'm not birding much b/c of the cold weather but once the spring comes I am going to have to juggle my routine to fit that in too. Life is fun but it sure is busy.

I better go get dressed and take Remi out. I'll read thru socials later or tomorrow. HAGD everyone.

Busy morning for me... I worked on a pre-release LO most of the morning. Just happen to remember a photo of the great-granddaughters riding on a camel... so had to find it. Yep, it was in one of their early years folder. Then spent time on creating the LO. What a hoot it turned out to be....

Good thing that I put the damaged recycle bin out at the curbside last evening... heard a rattling - looked out and they were here exchanging it with a new recycle bin before 9 AM. Threw on my heavy robe and out to get it and put it back where it belongs. Brrr... still cold (29*F) and the wind is blowing so feels much colder. Now I need another cup of hot coffee to help warm me up!

Thanks for the prayers, Trudy! He is much better today and they may let him go home tomorrow.
Prayers for your brother and especially his wife in the hospital!
Didn't get around to the downloads yesterday. Going to start in a few minutes.
The back comes and goes! It will get there!

I'll be here for a few more days, but home by next week. Not looking forward to flying. We actually got to 20º today but it snowed off and on the entire day. Not causing too much trouble here, though. The ground is so cold my sister was blowing it off the driveway with a leaf blower. I think Indiana is getting a bit warmer next week, but I'm sorry to hear NJ isn't warming up. I seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time -- either that or it's ME....
I'm glad your friend is in a better place and has some treatment plans. I always find that better then hanging around waiting... And, thinking too much. :heartpumppink:

See what happens when you keep saying you hate winter? It has to come find you and show you what it can do :floorlaugh:
Despite all the snow, I hope youre having a good time with your sister.

Oh Tracy, you made me laugh outloud! OOOohhhh, maybe you are right and I should stop saying I hate winter and keep it to myself.:cold::cool: Winter seems to be getting me back! But, yes we are having a nice time together, even with all the days we've had to stay inside we've kept busy with projects and even watched through a couple of TV series like Ted Lasso which she had never seen! :heartpumppink:
