Happy Thursday! I should have time to do this "right" since I locked Catzilla up in my bedroom. She scratched at the door for quite a while, but dang, she is quiet now. I cleaned out my keyboard last night and i swear there was enough fur in there to make a new kitten. Sure, some cookie crumbs and coffee stains were there too, but it really was mostly cat fur!

Of course, today I don't seem to have much to say. How odd is that?The last couple of days I haven't had much going on, which has been really nice except that i am not used to it. I feel guilty for sitting down with a book in the afternoons.

I am cleaning today and tomorrow for clients and then I have to get ready for a party/get-together here on Saturday. Have you ever heard of House Party.com? You apply to be a host and if you get picked, then send you a box of goodies to use at your party. Its basically a big commercial for whatever company provides the kit. I have been doing these for 2 years and they used to be really good. This last one I 'won" is for Walgreens. They sent me ingredients to make oatmeal cookies and some walgreens brand snacks. :horn:

But it is an excuse to get some family and freinds together, everyone is great about bringing stuff. Since Gary is semi-housebound, its good to bring the people to him.

So that's my next few days... cleaning here and there and some cooking.

Chris, so glad that you've had a little bit of time to yourself. Don't feel guilty, you deserve it!!! ((hugs))

Very cold in Iowa today with snow still on the ground. But do I care? NO! Because 4 weeks from tomorrow at this time, I'll be boarding a plane destined for Maui!!! Oh yeah...excited doesn't even begin to express it!!!
 
Linda, i laughed out loud at the "still looking for 2011" comment. me, too! i seem to have misplaced 2010 as well.

Chris, glad you're getting some downtime. you always make me feel so guilty with all your cleaning. i have been SO remiss on that lately. it seems the more time i have free, the less i choose to do the scrubbing! i basically blew off yesterday totally. a lot of computer stuff needed done, so i sat around staring at my screen, coming up for air occasionally to eat some string cheese.

yikes. i just heard the weather forecast. totally stinks for the next few day. i hear the words i dread every winter: sleet and freezing rain....

have a great Thursday. i can start using my GymBucks today, so off to look for some clothes for The Grandmen at Gymboree!

....and just so ya know....a big black hole sucked up 2011.......and I for one DO NOT want to go into that hole to find it!! :laugh:





So.....putting DH to work the first day.....I have an eye Dr's appt this morning...then I rush home to grab Jaiden...as she has her 3 yo checkup appt today....so Mike is babysitting today......think he would freak out if I took the day off tomorrow and went shopping or something?? :hurt:




Better hit the shower.....my appt is in an hour!! :fear:
I HATE RUSHING!!! Nobody but myself to blame for that....getting on the computer before you have to get ready always makes you rush!!!

SO TIRED!!!! was up til about 2am checking on helena...yesterday she spiked a 102.9 fever...gave her meds an hour later she was great bouncing off the walls running around and playing no matter how hard i tried to get her to rest she wouldn't then later on after about 6 or 7 hours the fever crept back up...it got up to 101.4...gave her some meds before i put her into bed...but i was so worried it'd spike in the night so of course i stayed up lol....but she was fine all night and then again this morning is fine no temp...she has a stuffy/runny nose now...but doing great...we were working on writing her name and her alphabet and shapes shes doing SO good at it too!! :) proud mama here!
 
ohh and all i got to do today really is go to the post office to mail off a few things..im out of stamps so yeah...might as well do it there LOL we dont mail things off very often anyways
 
ohh and btw...im still looking for 2007 and 2008...sigh when did my youngest get old enough to write?!?! and go to school in the fall?!?!
 
Happy Thursday everyone! Brrrr cold outside, but at least it stopped snowing finally!! Not much happening here this morning, just getting ready for work and waiting to hear if my niece has delivered her baby yet or not. She went into labor last night and hopefully has had it already! She is almost 40 and this is her first baby, so hopefully everything will be ok!! She already knew that she was having a little girl and has picked out her name already, Isabella. The old names sure are popular again it seems. Well better get some breakfast and head to the shower. Have a great day everyone!

Chris - I am glad that you are finally having some down time, you certainly do deserve it girl!! I will have to check out this house party.com! Your keyboard sounds like mine!! Minus the cat hair, because my poor old cat can't jump up on anything anymore.

LindaS - I am still looking for the last few months also, can't believe where the time has gone?? I do want some of it back, my time with my kids and grandbabies would be nice!!

Phylis - Your weather sounds like ours here on the West Coast... uggghh!! But just think, soon it will be spring ( I know, not soon enough). Hope you have a productive day!!

NanaLinda - Hooray, your first day with your retired hubby!! Hope your appt. goes well and that you get to have a shopping day!!

Good morning everyone!! Late! Late! Late! That is what I am. Went to bed late, woke up late, having coffee late, checking email and forums late. BAH!

Chris, Glad you had some down time. Don't feel guilty about it. I signed up for House Party when we lived in DFW and never "won" a party that I requested. I haven't seen any come through in our current area.


Linda, LOL @ Where is 2011. I am wondering where January has gone for sure. It's more than half gone and it was just New Year's Eve like yesterday. And you can color me green with envy over your upcoming getaway! WoOT!

Kiliki, Hope Helena is feeling better. The time sure does fly. They are all grown up and off to school in the blink of an eye. Hope you get some rest today.


Okay... time to tackle the laundry. Oh and it seems I am in need of a day of beauty - ala Isabelle my 4yo hair dresser and makeup artist! ;)
 
Trudy - same here... my post took forever to write so I missed you! Have a great day at work today. By the time you are home from work and able to read this again maybe you will have the news of the arrival of Isabella. Beautiful name by the way, then again I am a little attached to the name, in another form. My DD is Isabelle! ;)

Chris... did you notice that you were trying to regain a few days in January? I was confused when looking for the Daily O for the 19th! Though sadly I will admit it does not take much to confuse me. :D
