The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
goooOd morning and happy Thursday!
Good news is that i think my family is on the mend. No throwing up for about 18 hours, yahoo! I am stripping all of the beds and Lysol-ing the house. I also start my new client today, wish me luck for an easy house!

For those of you who don't cook, you might not understand this. But we got our new stove yesterday, and I love this one. The one we got last month just did not cook/bake right. I felt like I had no control over it. Then when thatt was not able to get fixed, we ordered a replacement. Then my amazing parents said for us to get the one that we wanted and they would pay the difference. Well, the one that I*really* wanted was $1500, so that wasn't happening. But we found one that was only $200 more than what we paid and that is the one we got yesterday. So much better!

Temptation on Thursday
I want to re-bake all of my Christmas cookies that didn't come out right in that other yucky oven LOL

Fran-- good idea on staying home the extra day. Scott thought he might have been able to make it in part of the day yesterday and I told him he should just stay and recuperate. The body needs that. I hope that today is a much better health day!

Eva!!! :pound:
Is today a better day? hope you got some s....... sugar!!!

Deb! welcome back!!

Phyllis- this weather is crazy! Its possible that the bugs haven't been killed- we have only has a few full days is below freezing temps I think. The ticks this spring are going to be BAD!!! *shudders*
When I had Postpartum Dep after Cait, I used to lie awake and plot way to murder gary too! LOL

Oh trudy what a drag about the drs visit. i love Eva's idea for waiting.
Your date night sounds fun!

Yvon-- congrats on being a Cheery O!!! Its so exciting, i was flipping out for days after Vicki asked me.

Hope that everyone has a terrific day!!!
germ-free hugs to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris, i'm finding that having no control over appliances seems to be the new thing. you should see the moron washing machine i bought a little while ago. it was the ONLY one at Sears where i could control the water level. then the blasted thing LOCKS as soon as it starts, and you can't override the locks. there are about 100 other stupid things about it, but never mind. then i have an oven that won't hold a set temperature if i put anything BIG in it, like a turkey. and this is a new oven! i have a feeling all this has to do with the EPA and lawyers. never mind that our "stuff" is getting to be useless junk.

raining. a lot. then some snow tomorrow. ick. i was getting used to 47 degrees....

still lots of drama in the family. i'm tired.

well, at least i made it to 5 a.m. this morning!

hope your day is beautiful.

phylis

Rain here today. I need to run errands- my dance artwork is done being framed and I need groceries, pick up drycleaning, go to the bank, maybe even stop at the cell phone store for a headset. Want to get it done before the snow- I wonder what that will do to my pt attendance at work tomorrow. I have had consistent cancels every day these past two weeks due to illness.

Morning ladies! Feeling about the same but need to make the effort to go to work. Had some bad news yesterday. The doctors are sending mom home, basically to die. There is nothing else they can do for her. They said it could be a week, a month, 6 months, but it will happen soon. Her lungs are just too damaged to recouperate, so Hospice has been notified. According to my sister hospice will visit everyday and make sure that she is as comfortable as possible.

Of course with me being sick I can't just run down there and be with her. It sucks for sure.....my prayer for her now is that she finally finds some peace in her life, she's always struggled with that. I would appreciate your prayers about this.

Hugs to all......

Morning ladies... off to work this morning and hubby is home. He took the week off as he needed some rest from his crazy, crazy job. He is off to the dr. this afternoon to have his stomach checked, he has very bad acid reflux again. Back on the Nexium I suppose.

Chris- I am so glad that everyone is feeling better! Hope your new client is a great one! Glad that you got a better oven! Nothing worse than trying to cook a great meal on an oven that won't cook properly! Sending lots of healthy warm hugs your way!!

Phylis- to you too! Sorry that you are having family issues! They sure can bring you down can't they!! I am the youngest of 7 and there is lots of drama :drama: in my family let me tell you!! Hope the weather gets better for you soon!!

Laurie - Please take a pic of your dance artwork after its framed!! I would love to see it! Have a great day at work!

Fran - Oh my!! What horribly sad news for you!! You must feel so helpless not being able to see your mother because of your illness!! Lots of hugs to you and your family   It is sad to have to say goodbye, I watched my mother slip away and was very grateful for the end for her!! I pray that your mother finds the peace that has eluded her! Thinking of you sweetie!!

Good morning all. I haven't poked my head in much this week as I have been busy putting out fires at home. Not literal fires, but just the life ones. We had gobs of rain on Monday and the water came so fast that the street flooded which slowed the work of our pool pump and our pool overflowed into the already flooded back yard and we even ended up with water in the house. I am relieved that we didn't have any "real" damage to speak of as I was able to damn off the water with every single towel in our house. EEK! I have been kind of scatter brained ever since.

Alan (DH) has finally gone back to work (he has been sick, as have the rest of us). This is a relief b/c when he is here during the day it tends to be a stressful day b/c I have to keep Isabelle quiet and him being here just really messes up our normal schedule.

Chris - Glad you all are feeling better. Between the two of us and I guess all the other sickies out there we will be keeping Lysol in business. ;)
Oh - yum to baked goodies. Who says there has to be a holiday to make some sweet treats? Bake away... though I am not a fan of nuts with chocolate. I'll send you my address. hehehe :D

Phylis - Stay warm and dry. Sad you are having to deal with family drama still. :( ((hugs))

Laurie - This is def the time of year for illness and when mixed with bad weather I can imagine lots of cancels. :( Sending you some cheer!! Oh also sharing some excitement about having the dance artwork framed.

Fran - Sending you well wishes to feel better soon. It breaks my heart to hear of your mother's condition knowing you cannot travel to see her. :( Sending prayers and hoping she is able to find some comfort and peace.

Trudy - Don't work too hard. ;)

Temptation Thursday - to bomb my internet provider!

Yesterday a dream came true and I couldn't share it!
Along with Yvon I was asked to be a Cheery O.

This has made 2012 a special year for me and I'm totally delighted and excited :biggrin1:

But, after reading your posts I realise yet again, how blessed I am.

Fran my prayers are with you and family and also they are with my friends how aren't up to par - for whatever reason.

Trudy - that's BC medical for you - you're in my thoughts & prayers too. The waiting is the worst part.

Phylis, I believe family drama and upset can be more debilitating than physical problems. Hang in there. Remember your "O" family is standing right behind you. If you need any help, I'll find a cple of rotten tomatoes to throw - the ones left over from my network provider :)

I know I haven't answered each post but I want to get this off before system is down again..... lotsa hugs

Fran I am so sorry about your mother. You are both in my prayers this evening. I lost my mother in August to lung cancer. We had a long experience with hospice. If you need to talk, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Just a quick check in and hello. I'm back from CA and getting into the routine again which is also nice. Dick left this am for a retreat, so I'm on my own til mid sunday.

I'm so sorry to hear of the illness, the drama and the sadness here. Sending you all my love and good wishes. May each day get a little easier for all of you.

Changing it up as I'm late to this post so saying good night instead of good morning!

Chris,Enjoy that new stove. Hate to spend money on appliances, but neccessary. How sweet of your parents!

Phylis, I hate this weather too, although it certainly has not been a winter yet. I'm ready for spring! Hope that family drama has a resolution for you soon.

Laurie, hope you got all those errands run and had a good day.

Trudy, hope your day went well and your hubby is better.

Fran, I'm so verry sorry to hear about your mom. You and your mom are in my prayers. Such a difficult time and keeping you in my thoughts.

Trista, that is awful! Hope things are better.

Congrats Jacquiline!!

Night.
