Last day of February, my O-Fam! That always feels good to me, because even if the weather hasn't changed much it gives me hope that the end of winter will be coming soon. It was still somewhat light out last night at 6 pm, and that is really a good sign. Daylight Saving Time starts up again in March too?? I can't remember when it happens since they changed it a while ago. Oh, I just checked my calendar- March 10.

I had a nice visit and work day with MIL and then I stopped over to see my mom after that. I am 45 mins to my MIL, 20 mins to my mom and then another 45 mins to get home, but it was worth that extra driving to visit with her. I hate that she is getting older and looks so tired all of the time :(

So the funny story of yesterday with her.... I am sure you all can tell from my stories that she is very devoted to her grandchildren. When she and my dad got new cars last year, they gave Scott their old car. It came with a little card table in the back. She ended up keeping it because she used it all of the time. Fast fwd to Tuesday and Scott is reading over the Owner's Manual and is totally excited about the card table. Was crushed when I said that Grandma kept it. He looked on ebay to see how much it would cost to get one and they are like $200. He calls my mom and asks if he could buy her a new table, of her choice under $50 can he please have the card table.
Guess what I came home with yesterday?
She is too funny :D
I told her he was asking somewhat seriously, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, that he would never take it from her, but if she was willing to trade, he was good with that. But no, god forbid she has something that one of the kids wants..... she has to give it to him. :)

Today I have my work cut out for me. I am cleaning my office. Papers work, filing all of the crap that has been piling up. Cleaning out my inbox.... if no one sees me for a while, I am lost somewhere in my junk folder.:yield:

Temptation on Thursday: Throw everything in my office out and start fresh!!!

Hope you all have a great one!!!!

lauire- you'd better get that knee checked out soon, that does not sound like something that is going to get better on it own :(

Phyllis- Is Game of Thrones really good? I think of friend of ours has a DVD set, maybe Gary and should borrow them. i think we are going to try American Horror Story or House of Cards on Netflix, not sure....
I know- your advice about style is too true. But I do a bad thing and compare my pages to other peoples and then get all bummed out, And I don;t think I *have* a style-- I am all over the place digitally just like IRL. LOL

Nana- ooh, fun date day :) Since my kids won't eat any beef at all, I have been craving burgers. A good grilled burger sounds so yummy!!!!!!
I asked her why hers went up too b/c I was worried that Gary's went up. well you can't get blood from a stone or more money from a SS Check! :pound: It was something about not having enough taken out last year? :noidea: but at least it looks to be isolated to them and not an across the board Medicare increase.
Can't wait to see what you made for the collab!
Oh and Nana-- you have a style- its an amazing style. You also have super adorable subjects too!

Us too Nancy- sump pump has been running since yesterday afternoon. Cold and icy and mush, that is my yard!

Trudy-- enjoy your walking!!! Get some Vit D for me too!!

Terry, oh my...... your poor mom!!!! Maybe it is for the best that she is admitted to the hospital and they can care for her better?? I hope that is the case. (((((hugs))) and please keep us posted on how she is doing.

lauire- that would have freaked me out!!!!

Morning O fam- my day off- I am going to be a scrapping fool- let me just say I am hosting a March challenge and I don't have my layout done- oops! Regarding my knee- I will have our sports med therapist check it out- he knows he needs to, but hasn't had a break in patients. I just need to find out if the snapping is coming from a tendon outside the joint, or if he feels it maybe inside the joint- if that is the case I will have to chose an orthopedic dr that I trust- I need to be able to get up and down off the floor for my job. I have not had any knee locking or buckling, so I am thinking it is a tendon- just need to know what strengthening exercises to do! So I am not ignoring it.

Morning ladies... I woke up at 3:30am!!!!!! WTH?? One good nights sleep is all am allowed I guess? Just woke up (boing) wide awake and tossed and turned for about 1/2 an hour, thought this is ridiculous and got up. Made my self a huge cup of coffee and here I am. :tea: Watched the movie The Impossible last night, that's probably what made me wake up, thinking about clinging to a tree to stay alive after the Tsunami !! Could not shut the brain off.

Chris - What a great Mom you have!! So generous! Scott is lucky to have such a great Grandma!! Good luck cleaning out your office today, I did my craft room the other day and got rid of a pile of junk that I have had in the closet for a long time. Out it all went, feels great to purge!! Stuff that has not been used in a long time, why keep it?? Its just Stuff, we always seem to get more of it LOL!

Laurie - Hope that you have more luck scrapping then I did yesterday, it took me all darn day just to get one layout done!!! I wanted to do at least 4!!! Sure hope your Sports Med guy can see you soon! Enjoy your day off!!

Well off to the gallery to get inspired, may as well stay with you wonderful gals for a bit, because I sure can't get back to sleep!!

Chris, your mom is SO freaking CUTE! what a loving person she must be. Game of Thrones IS good. lots of naked women and violence (like swords and stuff), though, so don't watch it with your kids, unless that sort of thing doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. I think Season One was better than Season 2, but the story is complicated and wonderful. it's fantasy stuff, mixed in with a sort of realistic medieval-type setting. GREAT acting. i guess Season 3 is on HBO now, but i don't have fancy cable, so i just wait until it comes out on DVD. i don't think you should start watching this anywhere but Season 1, or you'll have NO idea what's going on. i think it's worth your time. it's also beautiful-looking.

Trudy!!! 3:30 is TOO early. i usually wake up at 3:45-ish, look at my iPad clock, and say "FORGET IT!!" then try to get back to sleep. today i sort of dozed from 4-6, then got out of the recliner. i guess watching a tsunami movie isn't the best choice before bedtime. i don't think i could bear watching that movie, at whatever time of day!

Laurie, did you figure out what went goofy with your clock yesterday?? poltergeists!!! that was really weird.

just got a call from a friend i haven't seen for a while. we're going out for a bunless burger in a few hours. it'll be great to see another human being and sit down for a chat. much beyond that, i have no idea. folding laundry. heating up leftovers for dinner. you know. the usual fascinating stuff. i can't stop thinking about the death yesterday of Pattie Knox, a digi teacher and designer and nice, funny person i knew from the other site i used to frequent. she was hospitalized a few weeks ago for what appeared to be a bad sinus infection and pneumonia. they discovered that it was really late stage lung cancer, and she was gone within a few weeks. life is so bizarre sometimes.

enjoy your Thursday. wishing you all--inspiration! looking forward to the pages you make!

Good morning - Had a really fun talk with my sister. Love our Thursday morning chats. Only problem is it makes me wish we lived closer. Have been enjoying reading. My son (who suffers from dyslexia but still loves to read) has gotten me hooked on WarHammer books. LOL. I started reading them because I wanted to be able to talk to him about the what he reads. But I really like them. They suck me in. Good vs Evil Back to scrapping soon.

Trudy 3:30 is way too early! Hope you sleep better tonight! I have been wanting to see that movie. I guess I just should not watch it in the evening.

Chris you mom is a great mom and grandma. That is so sweet she gave up her card table. What kind of a car comes with a table?

Have a great day all!
