Last day of February, my O-Fam! That always feels good to me, because even if the weather hasn't changed much it gives me hope that the end of winter will be coming soon. It was still somewhat light out last night at 6 pm, and that is really a good sign. Daylight Saving Time starts up again in March too?? I can't remember when it happens since they changed it a while ago. Oh, I just checked my calendar- March 10.
I had a nice visit and work day with MIL and then I stopped over to see my mom after that. I am 45 mins to my MIL, 20 mins to my mom and then another 45 mins to get home, but it was worth that extra driving to visit with her. I hate that she is getting older and looks so tired all of the time
So the funny story of yesterday with her.... I am sure you all can tell from my stories that she is very devoted to her grandchildren. When she and my dad got new cars last year, they gave Scott their old car. It came with a little card table in the back. She ended up keeping it because she used it all of the time. Fast fwd to Tuesday and Scott is reading over the Owner's Manual and is totally excited about the card table. Was crushed when I said that Grandma kept it. He looked on ebay to see how much it would cost to get one and they are like $200. He calls my mom and asks if he could buy her a new table, of her choice under $50 can he please have the card table.
Guess what I came home with yesterday?
She is too funny
I told her he was asking somewhat seriously, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, that he would never take it from her, but if she was willing to trade, he was good with that. But no, god forbid she has something that one of the kids wants..... she has to give it to him.
Today I have my work cut out for me. I am cleaning my office. Papers work, filing all of the crap that has been piling up. Cleaning out my inbox.... if no one sees me for a while, I am lost somewhere in my junk folder.:yield:
Temptation on Thursday: Throw everything in my office out and start fresh!!!
Hope you all have a great one!!!!
