Happy Thursday!!

It is gonna be a rough day for most of the Faery Household today. It has been raining like crazy and our basement has flooded. Gary has been up all night pumping it out. I think he is napping a bit right now, but it will be a rough day for him if he has to keep getting up to pump.

Caitlyn is also feeling very sick, can't even drink her coffee w/o feeling nauseous. Thankfully we see her LLMD tomorrow. Scott has a long day ahead of him too- classes then meeting with some of the kids at school for a Statistics project planning meeting. He is like me and numbers mean very little, so he struggles with math. His math Prof teaches a lot of the higher level math courses, and seems to assume that the kids in the lower level, like Scott, can stay up to speed as the others. Scott is plugging along and I am proud of him for that.

Me-- I don't know what the heck I will be doing. I am supposed to do my Forever IV today, but if everyone in the house is under the weather, no pun intended for Gary, I won't be able to be chained to the IV pole for 6+ hours. OTOH- I have a really long day ahead of me tomorrow so it makes medical sense to stick with that plan. :noidea:

Everyone was in a mood yesterday too. Blah and cranky, and I was having some major mood swings. I had called my mom on Tues. just to say hi. I had some free time in the afternoon, and if I don't call her, she has a tendency to call at 7pm, when I am a vegetable in front of the TV. I called her yesterday morning, I missed her and I worry about her. She won't see a dr unless they won't refill her BP meds until she comes in. When I called her Tues, then again yesterday, she was worried that something was going on with me. I did explain that I was under the influence of Tindamax aka abx from Hell, and that seemed to help her understand. She did call me back in the afternoon just so say hi and ask me if I wanted her to make meatballs to bring home tomorrow. (Yeah right, she was checking up on me hahah!!)

So that is it from Rainy NJ.

Hope that the sun is shining where ever you may be!

Kat- yeah, Gary cracks me up too. Usually. Sometimes he drives me *insane*!!!!! Yes, building these things is a great outlet for him.It is just hard to see him when it becomes an obsession if he is manic.
Hope that you didn't fall asleep studying again. It all sounds very dry.

Nancy- glad that you are starting to feel better, but what a bummer that your fam is sick and wasn't able to go to the game. What a bummer to miss that win!
:gaah: More tech issues!
*runs and hides*
I know how much you have been looking fwd to Anna's class, and my fingers are crossed that you figure out how to make the computer and tablet work.
Is it me or have there been a *lot* of evac's/bomb threats in the schools in NJ? I saw that headlines at nj.com that there were like 4 in one day??

Oh no!! Trudy, that is awful that Isaac is so sick :( Good healthy vibes to you that you and Sadie don't get it.
It is interesting that you said that you inner workings mess things up. Gary and I have had this convo- at certain times, it seems like everything we touch goes on the fritz. I have read that it does have something to do with electrical impulses in the body- whether it is true or only anecdotal, I have don't know, but it is interesting in some ways. Not when I am experiencing it though!

had to check Cait's outfit for her, but back for a minute or so-

yay Rae!!!!!!!! I hope that no one else better than you comes fwd for the job, but I think that would be impossible!
Your DH and fam lucked out yesterday with the weather and the transporting. I hope that continues for them. Have they found anything really cool?

Kat- I worry that if I die, what in the world will people thing of our attic and basement?

good morning! I am feeling better! The weather is gray but at least no rain. I was able to get Luther out twice for short walks as there were breaks in the rain. We had our first spring thunderstorm and it was pretty fierce! Lots of water in the backyard. Spent time trying to figure out what computer I wanted and I know. But I can't go get it until my DH goes with me so we can get his educator discount. And I am going to bite the bullet and upgrade to Photoshop CC and do the $10/month subscription to what they call photography so I will also get Lightroom. I hope I am not biting off too much. LOL. But they say you should keep your mind engaged so I guess I am doing that. Not getting much scrapping done though LOL. I am going to be back up stuff and deleting a stuff so the transferring won't be too bad.

Chris so sorry that your house is all sick. So sorry about the flooding. It is horrible to have that. We had had it and it just sucks.

Kat hope the studying went well!

Trudy so sorry poor Issac got sick! Nothing worse that upset tummies! You are a great grandma!

Rae that is so exciting to have a play mate for Taz and to get paid for it instead of paying for doggie daycare! Have fun!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies, well after the messy day we had yesterday, things are right as rain today! Everyone ready for school and out the door in record time. No school tomorrow so hopefully we will all sleep in a bit and just have a fun day! Hoping to take the kids to the pool sometime this weekend and perhaps a movie or something. Sadie has lots of games that she wants to play and it would be great to get them outside for some fresh air too. This morning Storm and I will get in a walk and then I have to go look for a birthday gift for Sadie. Her birthday is on the 4th, but she won't be having her party until the 5th. Sadly this grandma won't be here to help her celebrate as I return home on the 2nd. Who the heck planned that return date??? Oh well DS and DIL are having a marvelous vacation and it looks like they are in paradise!! I think I will be one worn out grandma after this weekend!! LOL

Chris - Sorry that your household is sick!! And sorry that your Gary has to pump out the flooded basement! Hope you manage to get your forever IV today and keep on schedule!
Your mother is worried about you and that is perfectly normal, do we ever stop worrying about our children?? Now you worry about her too oh the circle of Life!! Enjoy her and treasure each moment with her!!

Nancy - Glad to hear that you are feeling much better! I am not sure what the heck is going around, but poor Isaac has had a horrible cough and tummy issues for quite a while now. I am hoping he is finally over it! At least I don't hear him coughing anymore! Poor little Mason has been ill too with the same thing. Bad cough and coughing so hard that he throws up! But he is finally better now also! Darn winter bugs!!

Kat - How did all that studying go? Is your exam today? Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you pass with flying colours!!

Rae - Fingers crossed for you also that you get the dog walking job! Like Chris says how could there possibly be anyone any better than you for the job?? It would be a great fit for you and Taz!!

Well better get dressed and out to the local mall to see what I can find for my Sadie girl. She keeps saying she wants makeup for her birthday. Ya that ain't happening!! She is turning 6 going on 16 yikes!!! I have to find something fun for her and even her Mom doesn't know what to get her this year. Keep your fingers crossed that I find the perfect gift!

Good morning, ladies. Dropped Taz off at doggie daycare (totally zoned out yesterday and didn't even think of bringing Taz to his daycare in the morning with all the preoccupation of my BIL passing, so at lunchtime when I remembered I called them and arranged for him to go today). I'll pick him up at 5:30 and then head over to make final arrangements for dog walking Ava, getting keys, phone numbers, checking where all supplies are in the apartment, etc. Then maybe we'll do a short walk together. Taz is going to be one tired dog tonight LOL.

The family got my BIL's home cleaned out by last night, got a company to come in to remove all the large stuff, sent everything to donation, brought all the crap to the dump, and most of the new stuff to my SIL's so they can put it in Craig's List and sell it. We gave our two nieces a large chunk of money for all their help and the rest will wait until probate to distribute between the 3 siblings. I'm glad that it has all progressed so smoothly. My SIL is a basket case about this so the sooner it's all finalized the better for her. My hubs is handling it pretty good, as is the other brother. One nice thing is that there were a lot of new, still in boxes, items (he was a shopping addict too) so Bailey is going to get a ton of stuff for her first apartment when she moves out in June. We got her a george forman grill, keurig, crockpot, dish sets, ovenware, silverware, baking stuff, stock pot, pots & pans, mixing bowls, electric knife and more. She was almost crying when I told her last night about it. So it makes me feel good to to know that one really sad thing created something really happy out of it.

Chris - I'm so sorry to hear of the basement flooding. That happened to us some yrs back and it was a terrible night of pumping water right thru the night into the next day. Luckily there was no damage other than cleanup so hopefully the same will be said about your basement.

Trudy - how about one of the donut or cupcake makers for kids? We got one of the pink cupcake makers for our granddaughter and she loved it. Sending healthy vibes your way to stay healthy and not get sick.

Nancy - you're going to love PS CC and LR. What were you using before?

No word from Kat this morning. Hope the studying is going well. When is the exam makeover?

Got lots of CT duties to do over the next few days so I'll be busy doing that along with my work and walking Taz in the sunshine (yay). Have a great day, everyone!

I'm back ... and officially certified (which, as I pointed out to coworkers, is totally different from being officially certifiable! ;) ). Just shy of four hours of multiple-choice questions - felt like I was taking the SAT's all over again!! LOL but ... yay, I passed! I have the unofficial results (which are pass / fail), and now I wait 4-8 weeks for my new certificate and the breakdown of how I did in each competency.

Phew. I am glad that is over!!!

BTW....I just confirmed with the owner that I got the dog-walking gig, more money and less time than initially applied for. I start Tues. This really takes the pressure off finding another part time client for my home biz. I can't believe I'll get paid to take Taz for a walk every day :)

Yay for the dog-walking gig, Rae!

Yes, both Stan and Bill (independently of each other) have "decided" that we need to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Is it sad that I just want to curl up on the couch and put some mindless tv on an veg out?! :twitch:
