Happy Thursday, my O-Zies!
I cannot get warm and I haven't even had to take out the dogs yet. Yesterday W needed to go out right after my shower and I was soaking wet. I let her out on the lead rather than take her on the leash and she ran and ate poop. Blech. It is going to be a long winter with her.

I got a bit more organizing done yesterday for F-W's baskets so that feels a bit more settled. While I am out today I am going to look for some snacks and maybe cocoa mix to make it more for the entire families. My Bone Scan is at 9.15 and I will head out right from there. Remind me that it all works out in the end, right??!!

I am feeling quiet today, not much to say, so I am going to post this- then personals and then to get ready for a long day

Felis- I hope that you had a very happy celebration!

Trudy- I saw that on FB and I know that I cracked a Brendan joke, but it is still very infuriating, I really do not understand people.
I hope that you didn't have to fight with the car ins and repair shop and that it gets fixed quickly. I am sorry to hear that you didn't get to go on your hike, but I understand that being away all day would make it harder to catch up with everything else you have to do.
My mom is weird- wall calendars are a waste since she won't use them, I was able to find a small desk calender that she can just look at. i will pick that up on my way home today.

And get this- I was looking through a catalog and saw this cute pine board plaque with clothespins attached for photos. I thought that would be cute for Leah's mom-- but it was $50. For some painted pine and clothespins. Gary doesn't have any wood big enough or I would make it. Might still try to figure it out...

nancy- were you able to find a space heater? I think I need to dig mine up for my tiny office area. I still have the fan in here from he summer, at least think it is buried under some boxes...
The Devils party sounds fun and so does your Panera's date!

Rae- Awww what a sweetie Taz is for wanting to play with the repairman! Good score on the tickets and no I cannot even imagine that there are only a couple of weekends left before Christmas. :Cry:
Cait is done with this semester next Wed so only 4 days left. Where the heck did time go??

Jean- that sounds like my kinda day- an appt 45 minutes away.

good morning - my teeth are good and shining and that makes me happy as I will need these teeth for many years yet to come. After the dentist I did many errands, got presents for Luther, then to Home Depot and I got my space heater and because they were only 20 dollars I got two and then to the Vet to get my allergy pills for Luther. Whew that was a lot for me LOL. Had a fun dinner with my girlfriend. She and her daughter are so funny. Then came home and scrapped while I watched hockey. I am trying to keep up with my Dec project. Today is finally a slow day. Talked to my sister and it is cold in AZ 40 degrees for low and only high in the 60s. She is freezing. I told her 40 is our high. But for someone used to the 90 and 100s 40 is freezing. My DH is just now getting ready for work and he has a bunch of meetings that don't start until noon. He took Luther for a walk so not sure if Luther will want another but he probably will. LOL

Chris Whisky is a crack up but eating poop is not fun. She is always keeping you all on your toes. Good luck with the doctor's appointment. Sounds like things have slowed so that is good. Enjoy before the real holiday rush begins.

Trudy sorry you missed your hike. But laps is great and getting ready is even more exciting. Pretty impressive that your daughter pre ordered food for the kids. That is just so horrible about someone backing into your car and just leaving. Hope insurance dealing are fast and easy!

Rae that is so cute about Taz. Hope your weather got better as the day wore on. How nice that Taz loved the repairman and that you now have found a carpenter. They are so hard find and to find reliable.

Felis your festival sounds so fun. Love how you treat you puppies. And yes you could find amazing jobs here working with dogs. The doggie day cares are awesome and the people love the dogs so much.

Jean we used to have a bird club but it disbanded and I miss it. But did not have time when had young kids and now I do have time but no club. I am sure the book will be done to perfection!

Good morning ladies... up fairly early this morning and you can barely see across the street this morning because of the fog. It has made the driveway very slippery and DH slipped and landed on his butt trying to get to his truck. Poor guy will now deal with a stiff lower back and butt today. So I will not be going anywhere until the fog lifts. Sure hope it is not like this when DD and family are trying to fly in to the Naniamo Airport. ray: Yesterday I got a huge pot of PastaE Fagioli Soup made, it is so good :hungry: I might have to cheat and try a bowl with everyone else. LOL Also got a big batch of Chili made in the crock pot. Now I just have to find something to store it all in and get it in the freezer. Oh and my new rug arrived yesterday a day early :bliss: It is beautiful and looks so nice in my living room. I have been looking for one for ages and finally decided to get it from Wayfair during the Black Friday Event. I got it for 60% off so hooray for me!! Finally Rae's shopping Karma is rubbing off on me LOL. Later today I hope to get to Walmart as I spotted some gift cards for Disneyland there and they will be a great gift for Sadie and Isaac as they are going to Disney in April. Other than that I am finishing off a Christmas painting I am doing and wrapping a few more things, perhaps making one more meal to freeze, I will see how things go. I really would love to scrap a page too. I got my challenge all ready to go for the upcoming event here, that made me very happy!

Chris - Yes I saw your comment on my Facebook page, it made me chuckle! DH had to file a hit and run at his office, handy because he knows exactly what to do being a retired cop LOL. They had a camera at the parking lot, but of course it does not show that area of the parking lot. :mmph: Not sure exactly how long it will take for us to get the repair done, but it might all have to wait until the New Year anyway. Hope you can find the pine board that you need, do you have a local lumber yard that would cut one for you? It shouldn't be very expensive, at least not the $50 that they were charging. I love doing crafts like that! Especially when you can make them for a fraction of the cost! I saw a cute door wreath on Pinterest this morning made with Mason Jar lids and old tree ornaments, so cute and might have to try that one!

Nancy - I love the way your teeth feel after a good cleaning at the Dentist, but somehow my hygienist always manages to hit a nerve and just about fly out of the chair OUCH!! Good deal for your space heaters! Lucky Luther getting some Christmas gifts too! You are such a good MOM! :dogwalk: upkiss: It sounded like your day was busy yesterday but also lots of fun! I had a nice talk with my one sister yesterday also, I had to deliver some Norwex products to her and it was so nice to catch up with her! Hope you get to catch up on your project today!

Felis - I hope that you get caught up with your work and that you are feeling a bit more cheerful soon!! Deep dish Pizza is the best! Sometimes I really miss being able to eat pizza, but the crust would upset my stomach so I enjoy the toppings!

Rae - How wonderful that you got those tickets! I bet it will be beautiful! I know how can it be that Christmas is almost here?? Too funny about the recliner and I hope that you get to trade with your DH or that he gets a new one and gives you his!! So cute that Taz wanted to play with the repair guy and how interesting to find out that he is also on a Keto type of diet, you must have had so much to talk to each other about! Hope you get some time to enjoy some scrapping today! Is it really foggy for you this morning also? Looks like the lower mainland is blanketed in it on the news this morning.

Ok I best get some more coffee and then I have to get two more of my calendars sent off to Staples to be printed out, then I am done with the calendars for another year whew!! Have a great Thursday everyone! :wave:

Good morning, ladies. Had a good evening last night. Popped onto Craigs List to see if there were any good deals on a recliner in our area. I saw one and it was only a few blocks away so I contacted the woman and made arrangements to go over in our truck when D got home. So we ended up coming home with a new chair for me. It's a two week old recliner the woman bought for almost $1000 and unfortunately within the two weeks she discovered that the way she sat in the chair aggravated her spinal degeneration too much. She needed a smaller chair. So she bought one a few days ago and is much happier with that, so she needed a quick sale of the first chair b/c she has a condo and not much room in there. So for $200 I got a brand new recliner that I love. Taz and I reclined together last night and he snoozed all evening with me, stretched out with his toes tucked up under my armpit and his head hanging off the end of the chair LOL. My old chair didn't recline back properly so we never got to stretch out like that. It was heavenly I don't really want anything for Xmas so this is like an early gift for me.

By the time we got home and got the chair set up and moved the old chair out, it was getting late so I thought I'd order pizza. I hadn't had a gluten free pizza in almost a year. So, I ordered a meatza pizza for D and a thin crust pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper pizza for me...yum. I did really enjoy it. But....later I had cramps, was a bit bloated and just didn't feel right. So....no more pizza for me, not even GF. Lesson learned.

Today is my busy day with work so need to get at it now. I'll quickly go thru the personals.

Chris - yuck about Whiskey's poop eating. Hope you find a way to nip that in the bud. Hope you find everything you need when shopping today.

Trudy - sorry to hear your DH took a tumble. Hope he's not too stiff. Yay for getting your new rug.

Nancy - yay for getting such a great deal on the space heaters.

I'm grabbing a coffee and getting at my work now. Have a great day everyone.

Almost didn't make it here today as there wasn't time before going to the senior center where DH's Hum & Strum group did their annual Christmas sing along after the Dec. potluck. After, I just forgot, mostly working on the book and more :washing: Now sitting with DH with football on TV and doing more on the book.

Chris, W really needs something to get her on track! Hope your appt and everything else went well and you didn't freeze too much. I feel like I need some kind of heater right this minute.

Nancy, saw some of the Devils win over the Jackets, so I know you enjoyed that. Hope they keep it up. I know what you mean about cold in AZ, but it is hard to have sympathy. Bird club is an old one with a pretty good number of members, but its future is always in jeopardy because someone has to step up and do the work of running it.

Trudy, oh, nasty having weather that brought DH down. Won't be a happy camper when the pain kicks in. Hope that is brief and you stayed in till it lifted. What a wonderful lot of cooking you're getting done. It will make the time with family so much easier. Glad some painting is in there too.

Rae, what a great deal on the chair! Love the image of you and Taz stretched out in it. Too bad that pizza didn't agree with you, but it's good to know.

Felis, hope you can keep up the happy image for the family and maybe have it become real too.

I don't know where the yesterday disappear (I'm not sure where gone the whole year) , so post here this morning. Probably because I wasn't sleep enough I wasn't enough effective. Finally had time to scrap, but nothing come, so finished just organizing kits.
The good news is in my work, now they are got decision to give us work till December 22 not till 15, so at least I wouldn't worry for that. Actually I can't believe I'm happy for that, but it is comforting right now. Now I can calmly organize my free time and really have to start use it more practical ! Hope today finally to scrap! No other big plans, lets be one lazy Friday.

Chris, yikes, about W. poor baby is take so much bad habits for so short time at shelter, hope soon become in one well educated lady! How was your Bone Scan?! Quickly and seamlessly I hope! Thank you so much for the hugs and puppy kisses let me exchanged it for pleasing cats purr from here!

Nancy, what you got for Luther present?! I promise to not told him :eyebrows: ! I was liked one very cute rabbit toy for Christmas present for my big dog, but he dont understand the toys and his previous just stayed at his doggy house, so I'm wondering did to give another try. We made great walk with the tiny dog, yesterday, it was still not too cold at 6pm, even it was too dark. So I hope you had one good walk too!

Trudy, hope your husband isn't hurt much! Congrats for the new rug! I'm so exciting for the upcoming O event! Hope you had luck at Walmart and got these gift cards for Disneyland!

Jean, I bet you had much fun on the annual Christmas concert! Pff, I started mine weekly pages, I can believe I'm backward with 3.
