Is it Thursday? It is, right? I am feeling quite disoriented. Not sure why other than the kids schedule's have been weird with snow. Cait's class was cancelled yesterday since her professor still has no power. She lives in the town just north of us in New York State.

Please tell me that I will get used to the cold weather. It is way to early for me to be hating it. I am so miserable even breathing when it is cold and forget about my hands and joints. The snow makes it difficult to be out with the dogs. Tomorrow will be in the 40's so a lot of this will melt. Then I get to scoop mushy and muddy dog poop. Hahaha!!!!

I was able to get all of my errands done yesterday. I even picked up three books from the library. I had just read a review fo rthis one: Fall; or, Dodge in Hell and started that last night. It seems interesting and I read about 40 pages before I went to bed. But I don't think I am going to continue it. It is 800 pages. Totally intimidating. It is a new book to my library which meas you can only renew it once after 3 weeks and only if it doesn't have a hold on it. I don't think I have it in me to read 800 pages this time of year. I think it is only going to stress me out.
I spent way too much money on groceries but I have almost all of the ingredients I will need to bake. My brother gave me some ShopRite GC's for Thanksgiving and that was a huge help. I feel bad sine I cannot give him almost any of my cookies since they all have nuts and they try to keep their house as nut-free as possible b/c of Christopher's allergies.

Today I am going to try to do some Christmas shopping. I am going to run up and down the highway. Home Goods, Target, Jo-Ann's are my main stops. Gary and Caitlyn are heading out too so I better coordinate so we don't bump into each other. :p

The party seems to be going well here, the Daily Downloads/kit are wonderful.

HAGD!! xoxo

Kay- we should run off and move somewhere warm-- I hear San Diego is pretty nice. heh... Bet the haircut feels great. I am looking forward to mine tomorrow

Nancy- the Devils have not gotten off to a good start at all. I hope hat the coaching shake up helps. Was that the first game you have been to since your surgery?
I cannot imagine having no insurance either. My parents didn't have a supplemental medicare plan and they are getting *slammed* after my mom's hospitalization.Thousands upon thousands of dollars- and that is with Medicare. You don't need insurance until you do and then it is too late...

Have you seen the video going around on social media of a reporter asking people in London what they think medical costs are here? Their reactions are hilarious in a very sad sort of way.

That must be a relief that your knees aren't affected by the weather.

Kay-- thanks for the info! I couldn't remember what the name was- I though it was Hamilton. So I was looking at Laurel Hamilton- and that didn't sound right from the back cover blurbs.

Trudy- Keep on complaining about the calendars, that dilutes my complaining about the weather. :blah: You are non-stop busy. The calendars are worth it which is why you keep doing them :) I used photos of Christopher for the Day 1 challenge which is one less page out of 20 that I need to do for his Birthday Album in May.
Oh no. I am *not* that nice. I was *returning* the gift I bought for Brendan :pound:
He hurts my DD... I am not spending a penny on him. But thank you for thinking thta I actually am that nice. *G*

Rae- Hope that your busy day slowed down a bit!

hey there Buddy!!!

Felis- so happy that you are getting lots of gifts- coupons and snow. The cats didn't mind it... Thank you for the sweet thoughts about Caitlyn. She is much happier now, I think she will find the right person for her, but she says that she is fine being on her own.
Oh that t-shirt!! I LOVE it!! I am going to have to see if I can find it online.

Jean- as long as Evil Cat plays with toy rodents and not real ones, I am happy :)
Those critters are really cute too!
I did ask for a new microwave heat pack and snow boots. The heat pack was leaking its beans and my old boots soles were coming off. So yup, anything to keep me warm is good. Not sure what else I would need. TY for the suggestions!!

I better get going, ttys!!!hugs!!

good morning - had rehab already and she and I had a great talk about how the process is going. She says each knee is different and that I am not taking anything but advil the pain is more than with any opiod but I am not going that route again. So we are happy with the progress. Had a fun night out with my girlfriend. Always good to catch up especially after Thanksgiving. Next Thursday is another dinner with more girlfriends so that will be fun too. Poor Luther has a cough. He does not seem sick but we cancelled our doggie day care for tomorrow as I don't want to spread anything if he is sick. They were so nice for us letting them know ahead of time and because Luther is a frequent visitor they gave us back our day. I really love this place. Not much else going on.

Chris sorry the cold is getting to you so early this year. Clearing mushy dog poo is not fun. Have fun baking! And yes that was my first game back after surgery. It felt so good.

Trudy you are one busy lady! And your calendars are so cool! I know the family loves them.

Kay hope your weather is improving. Getting a hair cut is such a fun way to a fresh start and the fact it grows back means you get lots of fresh starts LOL. I find my hair grows much faster in the winter. I wonder if that is a throw back to times when all were meant to grow hair to make it through the winter.

Rae hope your busy day slowed down a bit! I loved the sand hill crane photo. I first saw them in Michigan just walking along the side of the road. I had no idea they were so big. Really a cool bird.

Felis that is so awesome to be getting those coupons and prizes. Glad the kittens are loving the snow!

Jean it must be so fun to have new news to write in your yearly newsletter even if it takes time. Glad that you had good food at the restaurant. I may look into getting one of the rodents. I am sure that Evil Cat will be so happy.

have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. This wk is flying by. It's been one of those kind of wks where nothing gets done. I still haven't started pulling out Xmas decoration yet for Sunday. Lots of desk work this wk but I'm not complaining b/c I'm not working the last 2 wks of the month so it's a good idea to make as much money now while I can. I will pop out to see B at lunchtime for an hour and we can talk about Xmas plans. I have a lip balm that she picked out when we were at the craft fair on the wkend which she will not remember so she'll be excited to get that. I'll bring Taz which always makes her really happy.

Chris - I was telling B about you on the wkend, as she was picking out a lip balm, about how crafty you are with all your faery products you make. She was fascinated. I know what you mean about a book being too long. I can't often renew a digital book (there's almost always a waiting list) so I have to see how many pages it is and how many days I have before returning it. Often a bunch of books come in at the same time so I can't read them all within the 3 wks so have to pick and choose, and send some back, going back onto the waiting list. Luckily there is a history tab in my library acct so I can go back and see what I've returned or tag it, so I can go back another time to reserve it. There's never enough hours in the day LOL.

Nancy - you have so much fun going out to visit and eat with friends often. What a great group of friends you must have. I know very few people in my area now, most having moved away years ago. Some I still see now and again but they are too far and everyone is too busy to get together very often.

I'd better get to work. I would love to make a challenge page today so we'll see what my afternoon is like after I get back from visiting B.

Have a great day, everyone!

Okay, Chris... you got my attention with thread's date [Friday, November 29]... :mmph:  Think you want to know who is paying attention! hehehehe

You are right that San Diego does have warmer weather but the traffic is horrific - that is why we moved from there. At least the temp is up here today... may get to the high 40's. The sun is shining but there is snow on the mountain right outside of town. The clouds are hiding the top of the mountain so can't see how much there is up there.

Been scrapping - trying to get some done before Son-in-law comes to get my computer on Saturday. Which reminds me... I need to charge up the laptop. ...BRB... Got it plugged in now. LOL Now I need to copy my bookmarks onto a stick and transfer them to the laptop.

Wow... such wonderful pages I am seeing in the 12 Days of December Challenges!!! And the games have me in stitches. Glad to see so many members are playing them.

Chris, seems like the grocery bills do go up during the Holiday Season. Glad to hear you will be getting some cookies made. How nice that your brother's GCs are helping those expenses. I agree, if a 800 page book has not grabbed you into it after a few chapters, I wouldn't keep reading it. Maybe later on when things are calmer you can check it out again and it will be easier.

Nancy, so sorry that the knee is giving you more pain this time around but the meds could be the difference. Glad you talked to the therapist about that. Hope you have a fun time with your friends. Sorry to hear that Luther has a cough. Smart move to not expose any others to him.

Rae, so glad that we are friends on FB now. Yes, I love the bird photos!! You are a great photographer. Smart of you to get things done early in the month so you can take the last 2 weeks off!

Need to get dressed as I have been lazy and got on the computer before doing that. Hope every one has a great day.

Morning ladies!! I had a really hard time getting out of bed this morning!! I think that I probably could have stayed in bed until noon LOL!! It was so cozy and warm and still dark outside, but I made myself get up and get going at 7am. I got another page done on my calendar, just 3 more to go  I also got a gift bag made with all the card making stuff that I inherited from Aunt Marion and will make 3 more for the grands to put their Christmas ornaments in that SIL Linda and I purchased a while back. (wow that was a long run on sentence!!) LOL. I am bad for those!! I actually scrapped a page too, but haven't posted it yet, so will get that done this morning. In the afternoon I met my sister Pam at my other sister Wendy's house and got some eggs, her chickens are finally laying again. The three of us made plans to go and visit our oldest brother whom we have not seen for ages!! He is will be 85 in December and lives with his youngest son in the downstairs suite. He pretty much keeps to himself and any time we have offered to take him for lunch he always refuses :mmph: So we are going to put together a gift basket of goodies and take it to him. My sister Pam is reluctant to stay at his place, as his dog has mange and the medicine that he puts on the dog stinks to high heaven!! Guess we will all have to put vicks under our noses LOL. Even his son said "are you sure you want to visit?" "It smells so bad in his place!" Perhaps we can convince him to go for a walk with us and stop at the coffee shop near by?? Today more of the same old, same old as I attempt to finish off a few more things!

Chris - Sounds like you had a good productive day yesterday! Too funny that I misunderstood about the present for Brendan, I do think that you are a kind and caring person still!! Sorry that you are finding the long book intimidating but I totally can relate, there is no way I have time to pick up a good book right now either. Hope that your snow melts quickly, but ewwww mushy poop scooping does not sound like much fun!!

Well Heather and Hunter are calling so I will get back here in a bit to catch up with all of you!

Nancy - Oh dear I hope Luther will be ok! He will be sad that he missed Doggie Day Care! Yes I am too darn busy these days, but soon it will all be over and then I will complain that I have nothing much to do!! LOL I sure hope that the pain in you knee will be manageable!! Sounds like you are coming along nicely with the your recovery though! Nice that you are out having fun with your girlfriends again!

Rae, sounds like you are very busy! I haven't gotten out the Christmas decorations yet either, but hope to this weekend! DH will be busy putting up the lights outside, while I put up the tree and do all the other stuff. Hope you have a great visit with B and that you also get to do some scrapping this afternoon!

Hello girls,
I gift myself with lazy day, as I desperately needed it! Had a lot of fun playing Scavenger Hunt and scrap :ranger: . And I don't care much that this mean I'll have to work at weekend, to skip the grocery shopping don't sounds so bad, isn't it?

Jean, I'm afraid that I still think and feels at the same way as after my birthday. But I don't have right and it's not fare to spoil celebration of my family and friends. I'm locked my feelings and act as its expected. My sister soon will move in another country and this maybe is our last Christmas at way as it's always been, so I want to be a good one. Girls here works hard for this party, so I try to respond with the same. And yes on a day time it really looks a lot like Christmas.
You are better than me with the 52 project. I hope to work on it at Christmas free days! Love the old cat toys, they are so cute! I hope to like the new too! I laugh on a comment about she hides or runs off when we visit, it's so typical! Lots of friends are disappointed that my cats refuse to come near, but I told them it's not a cats coffee you can't expect that.

Chris, I'm sorry don't know from where actually this blouse is as I just made search for "Mama bear warm sweater" and it shows few results and I choose which I likes most. L O L today I mistaken you with Marijke at the Scavenger Hunt GAME, as she use similar to yours avatar LOL. Yep Daily Downloads kit are wonderful and gives me lots of ideas! Oh ITA about the book I started Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin, almost 800 page and it started so boring that no way to finish it on time. Here is moment Kay to laugh on me but I finished less than 10 book this year (I start a lot more, but they are on hold for now). I can recommend ''Beauty is a Wound'' by Eka Kurniawan, but only to those of you that don't mind a cynic language. Very unusual book, lot of protagonist and white exception of two all was nasty people, you can like them, but still want to learn more about their fate.

Nancy, oh, sorry to hear about your knee pain! Hope it's going better fast! And that you not overload it! You really push yourself too much, I wouldn't be surprised if on New Year Eve you are dancing on hills, or something extreme like that. Hugs to Luther and wishes to get well soon too!

Rae, oh, I'm with you into this feeling that life running too fast this month! Your plan sounds so sweet! Are you will be able to meet the others your children for the holidays too?

Kay, hope your Son-in-law will be able to bring your computer fast! Strange but before O I wasn't heard about people who move because of the climate. Yes the 12 Day Christmas party is lot of fun!

Trudy, you are too busy, girl! I know it's with funny things, but still it's sounds exhausting! OMG, poor dog, if this medicine stinks so intrusive for human, it's even worse for it's nose. Get fun with your brother anyway!
